should george burley be sacked

I would say yes, i believe he has lost the respect of the players, and if he does leave that means Kris Boyd will plasy again :)

Em Alex Ferguson already rejected the Scitland job before Burley got it. So i doubt anything would change a short time after.
 
Terry Butcher would be great Scotland manager. He'd get the team fired up. It should be him.
 
well what about ally mccoist then he has been under walter smith for ages and he was brilliant for scotland so he has got walters ideas and his own it could only get better than under burley

i doubt terry butcher will get the job cos he was the assistant under burley and if he didnt get them fired up then he never will
 
he hasn't done much to suggest that he should keep the job. Poor results won't do for Scottish Football apparently. Im not Scottish but we're having the same problems in N.Ireland. Just a lack of consistent, good results. He has to go

Seriously everything you say is idiotic. BUTCHER are you serious? He got sacked by Brentford and Sydney did meh with Motherwell what makes you think he should be Scotland boss?

Burley has done pretty poor so far and i would not shed any tears if he were sacked but i am prepared to have faith in him after the Holland game....if he keeps the 4-1-4-1 and gets them playing like that all the time he will soon pick up.

MortonFc as for your comments on Moyes and Ferguson. I think your living in a dream world there. Maybe when Fergie feels he has had enough with Man Utd....maybe lol but Moyes won't leave Everton unless it's for a bigger club

If he gets the chop i would prefer Strachan,Levein or Souness
 
George Burley is the best man for the job imo, he has been unlucky in some games but the poor results are because they are a poor side, the fans are deluded. Scottish talent has dried up!
 
I think after the games against Macedonia / Holland, despite you losing the latter (albeit, very nearly drawing), he should be given some more time in charge.

Before those games, I would have called for his head to be placed on the chopping block, but I think they played very well in both.

chers for the backin some people do not understand if you heard what george burley said i quote " i dont no why all the papers are saying about me not getting scotland to the world cup but use must forget i am scottish i want the same as every other scottish person " give him some credt jeez alex ferguson nearly got sacked at manchester united for not living up to expectations so come on be real what would you rather have a horrible spannish waiter or a true scot ?

That's enough of saying everything I say is idiotic, it is my opinion and I think he would be a good Scotland manager. Some managers can be ***** at managing club teams but really step into their own when they start managing internationally.
 
No i can respect if someone turned round and said 'nah Craig Levein does not have the experience required to manage Scotland' nice sensible debate on both parties but to suggest Terry Butcher manage Scotland is stupid
 
definetly not terry butcher cos he was the assistant so it wouldnt be much different from under burley
 
Was never truly happy with the Burley appointment in the 1st place and when he then hired butcher who is his mate from their ipswich days(jobs for the boys eh?) and pressley,a guy who when captain of hearts tried to lead a revolt against his chairman(good leadership?i think not!) those 2 decisions alone were a ******* joke!
We need experienced,tactically astute coaches and a manager who can inspire decent players to rise from mediocraty and believe that they can play against the best!
unfotunatley these people are in short supply for the kind of money the SFA are willing to pay,i would be happy with craig levein and giving him a 4 year contract,telling him to pick the best players no matter the politics and let him do his stuff,that way we might actually have a chance in world football again!
