Gianluigi Donnarumma Italy's future is in your hands

End Of Season 2020/21 Review

Domestic domination is still in our hand as we keep our hands on all major honors. For the second season in a row Juventus's poor run in denied the Serie A fans of a season long title battle. We even gave them a enormous lead while we were at the World Club Cup in December

AC Milan do the double for the 5th season in a row. In Serie A. We tied our own record points of 104 points as we went unbeaten on a record 63 Serie A games and counting as we go into next season. We ended up 1 short of Inter Milans 17 wins in a row but will be going after that again next season. Speaking of Inter they really look to have turned the corner under Dello Rossi taking us to the limit in the Cup final and finishing a clear 3rd in the table only 14 points behind Juventus who were 2nd again. and Udinese grabbing the last Champions League spot ahead of the Rome giants who enter the Europa League with Atalanta. Crazy close at the bottom with the smaller teams all loosing out to more established teams like Bologna, Sampdoria & Fiorentina
After waiting a decade for a title two come a tone for Spurs who retained the title from Chelsea & the Manchester Duo. Arsenal were this seasons let downs out of Europe in 8th which led to the sacking of Ronald Koeman.
Mental season in Germany. Leverkusen win the title which is not a big shock however they were followed by Schalke, Wolfsburg then Borussia Monchengladbach in 4th. Anyone missing??? Ahh Bayern well after spending £91m they finished in 5th. Some how Joachim Low is still employed. Same cant be said for Rudi Garcia and Dortmund who finished outside the European places.
Atletico are back on top in Spain 96 points to Real Madrid's 93. Barca just clung onto 3rd ahead of Valencia

Main notes from this season. De Sciglio was injured badly more than once and now 28 he'll need a good year next season to get back to the player he was. Sisto had one of his best season for goals & assists perhaps under pressure from young Gumus who had his best season so far. Almost 32 and Bonaventura is still holding off the youngsters challenges for his spot on the wing. Calleri needs no words with 52 goals from 52 games.

AC Milan Finances

TV Money £76m +£5m

Extra two Champions league games really helped along with spending less money on players and the financial baggage that causes

Fell further and further down the order and decided earlier in the season he would retire at the end of the season. His Ave Rating was always through the roof and he played a huge roll in covering Jorge & De Sciglio when they were injured
Like all My Milan legends he'll have a coaching job for life.

Juventus fail to get a licence for European football due to financial reasons.
Not quite sure why as they have not spent beyond there means. have a debt of £51m but a balance of over £500m so a bit confused. Result of this being Lazio move up to the Champions League & Palermo to the Europa League

Transfer window seen mostly 10 youth players & 3 free squad players arrive while 4 back up players and player from the stat Jose Mauri leave.
Inter Milan, Juventus, Fiorentina & Udinese all spend over £40m. Will they all make the top 4? Udinese & Fiorentina have more work to do than others to pull it off.

Major Manager Changes
Carlo Ancelotti - England
Roberto Martinez - Man Utd

Roberto resigned from the England job after being knocked out by Japan at the Confederations Cup and Ancelotti took over

Targets
Serie A - Winners
Italian Cup - Solid Cup run
Champions League - Semi Finals

Serie A is getting tougher. Inter are almost on par with Juventus and thats a good thing for the league. Bad for my unbeaten run. Semi Finals in the Champions League is the minimum target set by the board. Loosing on penaltys in the final is almost as bad as seeing Real Madrid pick up the title!

Transfer Window
Two or three back up players come in as does a squad of youth players. This should be the last time i mass invest in youth players.

One major sale was Jose Mauri. With only a year left of his contract Chelsea came calling with a £30m offer. We managed to talk them up to £45m for a player asking to be my first player to break the £200k a week wage. This was never going to happen to a player that had slipped out of my starting 11

Few changes to the starting 11. Bonaventura is on the bench for now after Gumus made a stunning end to the season earning his shot at a starting spot. This will also require Sisto moving to the left wing. Apparently he's as good on both wings but only time will tell.
Roberto Firmino is outside the 23 man squad but his versatility will see him used or if not sold!.

September

The record smashing unbeaten run ends at 65 games as our 10 men are beaten ironically by Lazio who we usually tank by 5 or 6 goals.
Our start is far from convincing with only our last League game with Sampdoria having any sense of a dominant win

October

Were still stumbling to some dodgy results in Serie A. Drawing with Atalanta when we were down to 10 men is not so bad but the Udinese game was a disgrace. We were 3 goals down before half time in possibly our worst performance with me in charge
Less issues in the Champions League. We thrashed Shakhtar in our first game and victory in the 2nd game will all but secure top spot and progression to the last 16

Strange to still be in 3rd at this stage in the season and we have yet to play the two teams above us. 2 points split the top 3 of which we lead Juventus on goals scored. 18 games into the season and still no sign of Calleri or Dybala in the top scorers. Instead we see Kevin Yamga a £9m signing from Galatasaray leading the way, Negro of Spezia who's scored almost half there goals and Udinese's £22m French signing Couturier. Dybala is next up in 4th spot on 9 goals but Calleri has only scored 5 goals from him 16 starts. First disappointment was to see a player i sold for £3.5m to Atalanta, Davide Calabria move onto Real Madrid for £20.5m
The second transfer looks more dodgy but hear me out. Taravella maybe should be starting for me but has yet to make the starting 11 but with a seat on the bench offered £66m + £20m after 50 games and 10 internationals and a thrown in buy back clause of £86m meaning i can buy him back for the exact fee i should make. Only downsides would be a high wage and if they can register him for our last 16 tie this move may immediately pay off.

End Of Season 2021/22 Review

Shots have been fired and hit! Juventus end our 5 year run of holding the big trophys in Italy. Juventus's Serie A title is thereor anyone else's first major trophy since Juve won the Italian Cup in 2016 6 seaons ago. You need to go back a further two seasons for the last time either Juve or AC Milan won a trophy (Napoli italian cup 2014) and even worse in Serie A (Inter 2010) Inter themselfs were further back in 3rd this season but closer to top spot so decide yourselfs on them. Udinese were 4th once again but only on head to head record did they finish clear of Sampdoria who are join in the Europa League bu Atalanta & Torino, until Torino fell like city rivals Juventus at the financial side of the game giving there European spot to Lazio. Napoli 9th, and Roma 12th will not have European action. Fiorentina should just be greatful for Serie A action spending the whole season it seems between 16th and 18th
Real Madrid romped to the La Liga title finishing on 103 points and 113 goals in Ronaldo's final season. They were 15 points ahead of Atletico with the huge news being next years Champions League will have no Ronaldo or Messi as Barcelona fell to 5th behind Villareal & Bilbao. Almost all Barcelona's players are unhappy and want to leave to play Champions League football.
Chelsea are back on top of the Premiership holding out Man Utd by 1 points and defending champs Spurs by 3. Man City were 10 points back and for that sacked Julen Lopetegui after 3 seasons, a lifetime there. Liverpool Eerton and Arsenal go into the Europa League with Arsenal still a long way from the Champions League they once took for granted.
Bayern also reclaim top spot in there League, but now have to do much more for the German game that hs lost its 4th CL spot meaning Dortmund go to the Europa League as previous finalist Leverkusen and Gelsenkirchen join Bayern

Sadest part of our season was Calleri's massive drop of in goals. Only 22 this season hardly 1 every two games. Plenty Italian u21's just waiting to take his spot so he'll need to earn his new contract.
