Board to the Milanisti
Our business structure has seen the club turn from a faded giant with falling cash reserves to become one of the richest clubs in the world. This allows us to now change how we put together a team. As Serie A as a especially Juve & Inter along with Real Madrid & PSG improving every season it has become apparent that we now have to spend to compete with these teams as well as develop our own youth players and from this summer going forward you will see us move towards signing some bigger name players to keep up.

Away from ourselves Inter go back to there 2000's mantra of signing big name players in there elder days along with some of the smaller teams best players. Champions Juventus only sign one player Timo Werner. Only other teams making a impact were Udinese with over 20 signings and Roma having a great first window under new management.

World Cup
Portugal 1-0 Brazil

Without the retiring Ronaldo Portugal won there first ever world cup. Biggest failures were Germany last 16 and France & USA never got through the groups.

Major Manager Changes
Urs Fischer - Napoli
Massimo Allegri - Roma
Massimo Oddo - Dortmund
Philippe Mexes - Lyon
Pep Guardiola - Schalke 04
Jose Mourinho - Inter Milan
Antonio Conte - Juventus
Julen Lopetegul - Chelsea
Roger Schmidt - Arsenal
Dello Rossi - Italy
Unai Emery - Spain
Andre Breitenreiter - Germany
Gio Van Bronckhorst - Holland
Hubert Fournier - France

Biggest window for managers so far thanks to big problems at the World Cup

Targets
Serie A - Winners
Italian Cup - Win trophy
Champions League - Win trophy

The scudetto is out of my hands for the first time since my first season so the no1 priority this summer is winning it back. The other no1 priority is keeping hold of the Champions league with Real not winning it being the only condition for us.

Transfer Window
Well this is different. Two back ups. two youths and a £75m No1 best Italian player in the game.

Chairman Pietro Orlandi wanted to make a splash and it wont come much bigger than this. At 29 he's in his prime and although he may take some game time away from developing players Violante & Meduri i expect this to be minimal and Verratti will be for the most my CL midfielder. Great to have the country's best player back home. We couldnt make a bigger noise about our desire to return to the top of Serie A

Omar Sanchez - AT
View attachment 129850
Im stunned and delighted to pick up this guy on a free. I had him already to join for £10m in January till the 2 no EU player rule ruined that idea and all chance i expected to get him. However either nobody wanted him or he didnt like any of his offers and we have a 3rd choice striker that should net us a tidy profit in the next few summers.

Matteo Pisseri is GK back up and the other two are for the u19s who will get much less help from the chairman's wallet

Out
£50m for 3 squad players is a great haul. Thiago was a player i was looking to move on from last summer but no offers came. This year Udinese stepped up and added him to there ever growing squad. Next out was Firmino. Could play almost everywhere but not great in any position and with more and more u21s coming back on loan it was time to move on and give them a shot. Finally the biggest deal was CB Moise Vlad Paul who went to Monaco for £33m plus a ton of future money. I had got to many CB and despite all my efforts to move on Hans Versluis no offers came for him before a bid from Monaco for Paul came in and there cheque book spoke after 6 seasons and 127 appearances.

No reason why Leonardi, Fellcioli & Sanchez can overcome being outside the 24 to get plenty games this year. Ramon Janssen is up for sale after asking for at least double what a back up would get for me.

Well that changed quickly! All of a sudden were 9 points clear. It would be a interesting league without us with only 6 points between 2nd and 13th and 9 points between 2nd and bottom we may need a few months to figure out where everyone is at this season. My team of the moment are Trapani. Survived the Serie B relegation play off 2 seasons ago then promoted last year. Lost 7-0 to Inter on the opening day but got a win over Udinese. Massive ask to stay up.

The top two finished as expected. Udinese and Roma made it to the Champions League as Juve finish 5th and are set to miss out as they join Atlanta in the Europa League. The top 6 were miles clear of the rest. Lazio's mid table finish cost Roberto Di Matteo his job. This was the 15th manager change of the season by far the most i've seen. At the other end the two sides i'd have liked to have seen survive the most went down. The smallest team in this save Trapani & Napoli the largest team to go down. Both were just 1 point from safty

End Of Season 2022/23 Review

Were back on top. Every trophy is back in our trophy cabinet following our best season so far perhaps? Our big rival Inter also had there best season ever being in the title hunt until the final month when a red card in our match ended there season. Udinese are up to 3rd ahead of giants Roma & Juventus the latter missing out on the Champions League for the first time. Atalanta & Palermo. Lazio, Fiorentina & Sampdoria remain mid table clubs which is better than Napoli who were the first big team to be relegated. Title challengers at the start of the save but a total collapse this season. Despite a team with Davide Santon, Diego Reyes, Lorenzo Insigne, Marek Hamsik & Manolo Gabbiadini they First signed up Urs Fischer who almost relegated Fiorentina last season was on course for doing the same when he got fired and replaced with Ignazio Abate from my u18s youth team and the poor guy was nowhere near ready for the role and he couldnt turn it around.
Atletico are champions once again. Two Madrid sides are dominating this show these days. Barca over 30 point behind the champions but back in the champions league but only by scoring 2 goals more than Valencia
Chelsea remain the dominant English side of the era with a 5th title. This title race was so close. Chelsea, Man City, United, Arsenal & Tottenham were split by 4 points.
Leverkusen romp to there 3rd Bundasliga title in the save. Never won it in real life so savor the moment. Yo-yo team Bayern down to 3rd.

Our turn to suffer a huge loss. Possibly our biggest in the save. Club super legend Mauro Tassotti has retired. He joined as a player in 1980 spending 16 years as a player and another 27 years in the backroom staff. Replacing him will be a nightmare

Biggest issue of last year Calleri was back to his goal scoring best but a long term injury cost him the 2nd half of the season. Capek and De Scigllo shared the RB job and Bonaventura approaching his 34th Birthday begun handing over his starting spot to the future of our left wing Joel Guzman. Our first Gallactio signing Marco Verratti did a great job as the back up Midfielder. While Carloni emerged as the future of our front line filling in for Calleri.

At 21 he was a world class midfielder in Serie A. Out
5 players move on for sums of money. Biggest deal was Tottenham buying the latest CB off the production line Pavel Kraus for £35m. My next biggest move also was a player moving to England Resul Gumus never developed to challenge Sisto and with his replacement bought he was surplus to requirements. The toughest transfer of the summer was selling Felicioli I loved him as a back up all over the pitch but having asked several times over the years for first team football i felt with Guzman & Morini on the left he would have even less chances to play. final major move was Leo Casadio who was good enough for Serie A but no chance of getting into our team so away he goes for his chance to prove himself. Afkir is the latest "wonderkid" that was not a wonderkid. Proof that these moves dont always work
