So.. I was wondering what save to do next, after a wildly successful Southampton save, and I decided to come back to Manchester United. Mainly because, I simply love the club, and if I'm to be successful, there's no other club I'd rather be at. And after the current, temporary downfall under Moyes, I wanted to see if I would have been able to do a better job. Of course, my transfers will be different, as will be my playing style.

Also, I will be doing a slightly different style of story, with more emphasis on interviews and reports, and less emphasis on Matches. Also, since I'm directly taking over from Ferguson, this will be on the default transfer update. Without further ado, here goes..

Manchester United look towards newer horizons after Ferguson's retirement.

View attachment 416990

After the end of an era under Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United will have to look for a new manager, something which will be very, very new for them. Their most successful manager has finally announced his retirement, and there are a couple of names in the fray, including David Moyes of Everton, with whom Ferguson shares a common birthplace and a good comaraderie, and Jurgen Klopp, the Borussia Dortmund manager, principally responsible for overthrowing Bayern Munich's title ambitions last season.

Both are managers who prefer staying at one team for the long term, which very much suits Manchester United policy. However, whichever man decides to take over the team will face a tremendous task in trying to move out of the shadow of Sir Alex Ferguson, to take over the legacy left behind by him, and to create his own legacy to leave behind.

There are also rumours floating around that a new, fresh manager maybe appointed, with no prior managerial experience. If this turns out to be true, one can only imagine that the Manchester United hierarchy has lost it's mind upon watching Sir Alex Ferguson retire, and have become addled. Whatever happens, Sir Alex is sure to have a big say in the appointment of the next manager, as he continues to remain a big part of the club he loves.

Now, while we are awaiting further developments, we'll take you through the club's history and achievements, in order to give our viewers the magnitude of the job being discussed here.

View attachment 416985

Undoubtedly, Manchester United have a rich history, and the Old Trafford faithful have many players and staff who are legends and icons at the club. Their ticket price is reasonable too, and their value is a whopping 1.86 Billion $.

View attachment 416984

As at any top club, Manchester United have excellent facilities, with top training and youth facilities. Expect no less from the club which has had legends like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and David Beckham come up through it's youth ranks.

View attachment 416983

The sheer number of trophies they have won is the reason why people consider Manchester United to be one of the biggest clubs around. They have an excellent record of winning trophies continuously, and one hopes that the new manager won't break that record.

View attachment 416981

And finally, this is the uniform that the Manchester United players will be donning on this season.

And now, that is it for the present. Stay tuned to this space, as we continue to bring you more updates on who could be offered the Manchester United hotspot.

MANCHESTER UNITED APPOINT SHERLOCK HOLMES AS THEIR NEW MANAGER

View attachment 416973

We bring you this exclusive news that Manchester United have decided to appoint Sherlock Holmes as their new manager. In case you haven't heard who Sherlock is, then you needn't fear, because he pretty much is a nobody. He just has the bare qualifications required for a manager post, and has absolutely no prior managerial experience. This news, from the United camp, comes as a shocker considering the fact that pretty much any manager worth his salt would be crying to get his hands on the Manchester United hotseat. Why then have they chosen to go with this new, unknown manager? Will he herald the downfall of Manchester United that many of their rivals wished so dearly to happen? Early rumours emanating from Old Trafford is that the new manager has been given a one year contract, with wages of $95000 p/w. We'll get more clear updates on these with the interview which will be held shortly.

Good Morning, Sherlock.
Good Morning, my friends. How are you this fine day?

Probably not as good as you are feeling; Despite being new and untested, how does it feel to get the Manchester United Dream job?
Dream job describes it right. Dream probably describes it even more accurately. I still can't believe that I've got this job..

Neither can we, take our word for it. Can you give us an insight into how you managed to wrangle this miracle?
To be frank with you, ladies and gentlemen, (or atleast as much as I can be..), I have no idea what qualifications were seen in me, for me to get this honor. I remember Sir Alex Ferguson inviting me to dinner a week ago, to talk about the Manchester United job. He'd gotten to know me, back when I was studying for my qualifications, when I'd discovered United's weak link from the past four seasons, and how it could be exploited. We did get along famously, and many of our viewpoints were pretty similar, although we did have our disagreements. I was hardly hoping for it to turn out to be anything, but imagine my shock when I received a call three days later for my interview. And the result, is in front of you.

The weakness to exploit sounds interesting. Do elaborate..
With all due respect, I didn't leak that out when I had no professional connection to Manchester Untied, do you really feel that I'll do so when I'm actually employed as the manager? Also, it was not just Manchester United about whom I discovered a weakness...

Have you had a look about the facilities present, and introduced yourself to the players?
I have been to the facilities, yes. Of course, as a fan, I've always known about it, but you start to see it in a different light once you're actually employed there. The facilities are fantastic, and most of the players were very welcoming, inspite of me being inexperienced, which was gladdening. If they are ready to work under me, I'm willing to give them my 100%.

..Most players?
Well, yes, most players. Look, with any team which underwent a major change, there are bound to be one or more dissident voices, it is but natural. As long as it doesn't affect the squad harmony, I prefer to let my managerial ability do the talking and win over the players.

Different managers have different styles of working, can you give us an insight into what would be yours?
Too many cooks spoil the broth. In a similar way, too many leaders spoil a team. A team can't have multiple and differing viewpoints cutting across each other, it just leads to discord. As the new manager, I expect my word to be followed by the team, be it the senior or junior player.

So that means you're the 'My way or the highway' manager?
No, it does not, actually. I want my players to know that they can approach me at anytime with any queries, doubts or concerns that they may have. I'm willing to lend a patient ear to all of them, and do my best to try and satisfy their demands. However, at no point will I tolerate disrespect towards me or any other player/staff of the club, no matter who the player.

New managers tend to bring in their own staff. Should we expect the same from you?
Well, the club themselves have made some changes to the backroom staff, before I was even appointed. At the moment, I won't be making any major changes towards backroom staff, but that could change in the future, once I observe how various people work under different circumstances. At the moment, we have good staff, so I'll try to give them atleast a year, before making any decision.

Your predecessor was wildly successful, beyond anyone's imagination. Will you hope to emulate his success? Can you leave a legacy behind like Sir Alex Ferguson or Pep Guardiola?
First, let us clear the air between us. Sir Alex was a legend. He made this team into what it is. He built the team, rather than being successful with a readymade superstar team. That's why I'm not of the firm opinion that Pep left behind a legacy. Sure, he was brilliantly successful at Barcelona, but he did that with a team that was already filled with superstars. That's just my opinion, I have nothing against Pep. Sir Alex, on the other hand, made this team from nobodys to Champions. That is what I consider as a legacy, and that is what I'll be hoping to emulate.

Can we know about the transfer policy that you intend to follow? Are there any transfers that you've had in your mind?
I'm a firm believer in a blend of youth and experience. We have all loved the quality of youth that have come up through the Manchester United ranks, but lately, there have been fewer players who could make their mark on the first team. I want this to change, and eventually have an entire team of Home-Grown at Club players. I don't have a bias towards any country, even England, but in my transfer policies, I will generally tend to avoid bringing in players above the age of 26.

Also,..
Ladies and Gentlemen, while I would love to chat with you through the day regarding the intricacies of accepting the managerial position, unfortunately, I have to call it a day at the moment. It is time I started properly earning the money I'm being paid, and overseeing intense training sessions before the start of the pre-season beckons. I'm sure we will speak very soon, but until then, Adios.

UNITED MANAGER LAUNCHES NEWS DIGEST

View attachment 416934

Manchester United manager Sherlock Holmes, launched today a new news digest called 'Holme - S - port. Sherlock has to grow out of Ferguson's shadow, and apparently he decided that the best and fastest way to doing that is to launch a news digest. We reiterate our earlier assumption that this appointment was probably the heralding of United's downfall.

View attachment 416930

The manager already showing a bit of vanity by naming the digest after himself? We'll find out now, as we caught him for a short interview.

Sherlock, first of all, why the necessity to launch this digest? I haven't seen this done by a manager before..
Well, basically because we wanted to give our fans the pure, unadulterated picture. Most newspapers edit information, or spice up rumours in order to promote sales. While this is necessary for them, for a supporter, it may give an incredibly harrowing time. It was decided to bring forth this digest in order to prevent that very thing from happening, i.e, in order to give our loyal supporters the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

For example, in our first issue, we'll publish our main first squad, and give a slight indepth into the strengths and weaknesses of our squad, and what we may need to solve.

So, how will this work?
Well, basically, we'll publish whatever new news is present regarding our club in this digest. Any United supporter can ask and express his views, and we'll do our best to reply to it. Forums indeed exist for this, but keep in mind that in this case, the reply will be completely official, by the club and the manager. Also, this digest is being handled by an independent party, based on official club information. So no, unlike what people are thinking, to a large extent, the news will not be biased.

So, basically, any transfer rumour or scoop will be present in the magazine, instead of with us newspapers..
Well, our supporter needs are very important to us, hence this step. But that doesn't mean that you won't get a confirmation or denial of any news rumours. Our press officer will be very happy to continue his present relationship with the papers, only they'll be present officially in our digest. You, ofcourse, can also refer it, and quote the official line.

Does this mean that Manchester United will sideline the media from now on?
Goodness me, where did you draw that conclusion from? Like I said, the relationship is as before, the manager and players will still give interviews like before, it's just that there is an extra dimension in the form of the digest, which should help the supporters and assuage any of their fears in a speedy manner.

This is an obvious attempt by the new manager to keep out the media. Only time shall tell if he will keep his promises, or if United fall flat on their collective faces like we're predicting. This move will not have gone down well with most of the media, adding more pressure to what is already a high-pressure job. Probably Sherlock doesn't realise it, not everyone is quick on the uptake, but it remains to be seen whether any of Sherlock's moves become successful. Only time will tell.

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM GUIDE

Manchester United manager Sherlock today, took us through the team he had, and his initial thoughts about them.

GOALKEEPERS

View attachment 416862View attachment 416861View attachment 416860View attachment 416859

The Goalkeeper section of United is pretty much secure and fixed.
David De Gea is young and a class apart on his own. He's our main GK.

As backup is Anders Lindegaard. He's decent, but definitely not starter material, and will be the No. 2 GK for us.

Ben Amos, in his time with us, hasn't developed as much as we'd hoped he would, and unfortunately, it looks like he will be leaving us.

Sam Johnstone is young, and has the potential to become pretty good, but due to De Gea's presence, the maximum he can aim for here is No. 2 GK. Sam may not be happy with that, so we'll have a chat later and see.

DEFENDERS

CENTRAL DEFENDERS

View attachment 416855View attachment 416854View attachment 416853View attachment 416852View attachment 416796

The core of defense seems set for the first season. However, a player maybe bought in as a backup.
Nemanja Vidic is the captain, and he'll retain his captaincy too. He's been a quality player till date, and he still has it in him to give his best, and he can help the youngsters a lot.

For Rio Ferdinand, this year is the acid test. He is getting older, and unless something special happens, he will probably be allowed to leave after the first season.

Jonny Evans is a quality player too. A very solid player, and experienced, so he brings in a lot to the squad. Plus, he's been our player from our youth academy.

Chris Smalling is an excellent youth option, and will be here for quite a while. A very stable defender, he still has lot of room for growth, and has the potential to become outstanding with regular game time.

Michael Keane is our academy prospect, and has the potential to be a good player for us. However, at the moment, he isn't ready for first team action just yet, so he'll probably be sent out on loan.

Rafael is our main RB, and is one of the best in the world. He's also classified as HGC for us, which is an added boost. An excellent player, he fits right into my tactic.

Phil Jones is another of the outstanding talents we have. Although most don't realise it, he's a class apart as a full-back. Although slightly weaker going forward compared to Rafael (but still worldclass, otherwise), he's extremely solid defensively, and is a sure stopper for crosses, which are present all to often in the Premier League.

Guillermo Varela is one of the things that I don't agree with what my predecessor did. Mainly because Jones and Rafael are so, so much better that he won't get game time at all, but also that he struggles to adapt to the Premier League, and the language is also different. Bought as a back-up, he'll be loaned out and eventually sold.

Patrice Evra is our vice-captain, but is not the same what he was. Still a solid defender, he slowly is lacking the attacking emphasis, is caught off-guard many times, and his pace is declining. He will play for us this year, after which a decision will be taken.

Fabio, although not reaching the potential that his brother Rafael did, is still rather useful for us as a decent back-up, especially because he's Home Grown at Club. He lacks the stamina for long games, but is still pretty good on his day.

Alexander Buttner was brought in as a potential replacement for Evra, but he's failed to reach the performance level he needs to have to stay at United. He'll be cashed in on.

MIDFIELDERS

CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS

View attachment 416842View attachment 416839View attachment 416840View attachment 416837View attachment 416841View attachment 416838View attachment 416805

Central Midfield - The positions where we have the maximum number of players, yet our weakest spot.

Michael Carrick is our main midfield general for many years. And he still has the goods to deliver on the big stage. Will play a major part in our campaign this season.

Marouane Fellaini is our new signing, done before I took over. A very useful and talented player, I'd have gone after him myself, only, we overpaid for him. As long as he performs, I'll be gleeful, else, he can be sold at a profit.

Tom Cleverley is our youth academy player. He's pretty decent, and has the potential to go even better. Will also play a significant part in our campaign, a good prospect to keep an eye on.

Ryan Giggs is our club legend, and our oldest player. He's still pretty good, but will be used mainly as a back-up. He's a player/coach. He'll retire here, period.

Darren Fletcher is another of our academy prospects. Tremendously talented, injuries have broken him down. He's injured even now, and will miss atleast 10 games. Still useful as a backup, will stay atleast for a season.

Nick Powell is our hot prospect, and is currently on loan. He definitely has enough talent to stay in the first team, and I'm looking forward to his progress when he gets back from loan.

Anderson was somebody who never really reached his potential, despite starting off outstandingly in the U20 World Cup. He couldn't become the Box to Box midfielder that we needed him to be, and he will be sold off too.

ATTACKING RIGHT MIDFIELDERS

View attachment 416811View attachment 416810View attachment 416809

Our position of strength.

Antonio Valencia is our main AMR, for now. He's still very good, and has the capacity to perform at the highest level. Will be vital for our campaign.

Nani is currently injured, but when he gets back from injury, he'll be another vital cog. Pacey and good attacking sense make him a very strong threat on the right and left.

Wilfried Zaha is our young youth prospect. He's only 20, but is very fast, and a good crosses, and has tremendous potential to improve. With Nani injured, he has a chance to cement his first team spot at the moment.

ATTACKING LEFT MIDFIELDERS
View attachment 416807View attachment 416795

Our main weakness.

Ashley Young
is our only natural left winger. He came on after Ronaldo departed, but never truly fulfilled his potential, with injuries hampering his growth. At the moment, he will be in the team, because we're short of players in this position, and don't want to spend for this position in the first window. Eventually, he'll be replaced, but for now, he can do a pretty good job.

Jesse Lingard is our youth academy prospect, but as it stands, he is not yet ready for first team action in the Premier League. He will most probably be sent out on loan to develop.

It's not as dire, as both Nani and Danny Welbeck can substitute on the left.

ATTACKING CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS
View attachment 416804View attachment 416803View attachment 416802

Another position of strength.

Wayne Rooney
needs no introduction, and has been our main player for quite some time. One of our highest earners, he can however be easily dissatisfied with stuff, and is very temperamental. Otherwise, he's world class.

Shinji Kagawa is our other main player in this position. An excellently rounded player, he can score and assist ****-loads. A brilliant player, all round.

Adnan Januzaj is our young prospect, and amongst the most exciting ones in the world. He can develop to be world-class on any of the Attacking Midfield positions, and as it stands, he'll probably be sent out on loan to develop further.

Robin van-Persie
is our main striker. He, along with Rooney, are the reason we won the League the previous year. His performances will be vital in helping us retain our title. However, he is getting older, so he won't be able to play 3 matches in a week.

Javier Hernandez is another class player. Generally has his playing time limited due to Rooney/van Persie, however, he will get more time this year, due to Rooney dropping into the hole. Pacey, and a clinical finisher, he can also be a vital player for us.

Danny Welbeck is our youth academy's product, and as such a very good talent. Has ****-loads of stamina, which is a good thing. However, he's still backup for now, but, he's not for sale.

Angelo Henriquez is our young prospect, and can develop into a very good player. He's on loan at the moment, so it depends on how much he has developed by the time he gets back.

Frederico Macheda is the tragedy story of United. After bursting onto the stage, he never was given much game time, and slowly, his development stilled. He maybe sent out on loan or sold, but if I could, I'd rather keep him, since I rather like him.

Will Keane is our youth academy prospect, and while he is good, he may not get games due to the sheer quality of talent already present. He maybe sent out on loan for a season to develop.

These were the main first team players, and first team nearing players, that Sherlock took us about. According to him, he has plans for a couple of Central Midfielders, and mostly youth players for the future. It remains to be seen what he wants do in the market, but that is for another day.

ARSENAL TO MAKE 40 MILLION $ HERNANDEZ SWOOP!

View attachment 416632

The Arsenal boss announced yesterday that they were considering making a 40 Million $ swoop for Manchester United's Javier Hernandez 'Chicharito'. Arsenal have long been linked to a striker to reduce the burden on Olivier Giroud, and this news of Hernandez promises to lift Arsenal supporters' spirits even more, especially considering the coup they pulled in managing to get Mesut Ozil from under the noses of Manchester United.

Hernandez would suit Wenger's tactics well in playing a 'Big Striker - Small Striker' combination with Giroud, if it was ever needed, and even as a lone striker, he would suit them as he has good technique, pace and is a clinical finisher in front of goal. A bonus is the fact that he won't have any adaptability issues with the English atmosphere, since he has been playing for Manchester United since July 2010.

But will it all be so easy? Manchester United will be wary about selling one to one of their rivals. Plus, new man Sherlock might want to hold onto his players, in order to check and see what players and what formations suit the club. Selling to his rivals in his first season at the club may put out a wrong intention to the supporters about himself.

View attachment 416631
Javier Hernandez - what will he decide to do?

However, Hernandez has always played second fiddle to Rooney, and now van Persie. With Sir Alex Ferguson retiring, and the club undergoing a massive change, he may want to move to more stable grounds. The fact that Arsenal can offer him a regular playing spot should be a big pull, and the credentials of Arsene Wenger will also help, as opposed to the untested Sherlock. The fact that Arsenal is also one of England's biggest clubs will not hurt.

No matter what, this piece of news can only boost Arsenal even more, and is a statement of intent to other clubs, especially considering that they just managed to land world-class Mesut Ozil.

RUMOUR MILL

Now we bring to you the latest transfer rumours from all over the world!

Big spending Manchester City are interested in Liverpool's Lucas Leiva, and are willing to spend the 35.5 Million $, which is the price Liverpool have put on his head.

Another name who has been linked strongly with Manchester City in recent times is Tottenham's Andros Townsend. It is rumoured that City will have to bid in the region of 10 Million $ to have a chance.

Manchester United's Javier Hernandez continues to be linked to Arsenal , who have reportedly made a 30 Million $ bid, only for it to be turned down .

Liverpool are said to be interested in Blaise Matuidi of Paris St. Germain and Mohammed Diame of West Ham. Whether they'll be able to get Matuidi is a whole different question.

There are rumours that Barcelona are interested in SLB's Nemanja Matic , and may soon be looking to complete the deal. Matic, who arrived at SLB in 2011 from Chelsea, has been a solid holding midfielder, and SLB will be looking at a reasonably big fee in order to part with their midfielder.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be interested in Dominico Berardi , but they'll have to get their bids accepted by both Sassuolo and Juventus, in order to get him to the Premier League.

Tottenham are rumoured to be looking at Manchester United's Anderson, and are willing to pay upto 8 Million $ to land him.

Other names which refuses to go away from Liverpool news are Claudio Yacob and Blerim Dzemaili . Both are central midfielders, and solid defensively. It is unknown why the Liverpool boss would want so many midfielders, but it remains to be seen.

There are rumours that Southampton's Luke Shaw is not entirely satisfied with the ambitions of the club, and may soon leave the club. This is likely to be a huge blow for Southampton supporters as Shaw is one of England's brightest upcoming talents.

There are rumours that all is not well with Manchester United's Wayne Rooney. He apparently is not especially happy with the change in establishment at the club, and may soon be looking at greener pastures. One thing is for sure, there'll be no shortage of clubs that will be in line for the English striker if the rumours are true.

There are rumours abound that Juventus' Paul Pogba may move. Manchester City are rumoured to be very interested in the proceedings, as they'd need a backup to Yaya Toure and Fernandinho.

There have been a number of offers made for Newcastle's Davide Santon. The Newcastle Board will get together and decide whether or not to cash in on their starlet.

Paris St. Germain are rumoured to be interested in experienced fullbacks Adriano and Alvaro Arbeloa, and while nothing more is confirmed, they certainly have the money power to get their targets.

MANCHESTER UNITED ANNOUNCE THREE NEW SIGNINGS!

Perhaps the manager of MAnchester United has finally started making his mark on the team. In just the fourth day upon his hiring, he has snapped up three players for a combined price of 3.2 Million $. He's finally started utilising that 60 Million $ budget that is rumoured to have been given to him, and here we have an exclusive statement by the manager himself, as he takes us through his signings, and why he bought these specific players.

The first of the players to sign a deal was Alberto Cerri.

View attachment 416609

"The signing of Cerri was quite a big coup for us. He's one of the most talented youngsters I've seen in recent times, and his talent is beyond doubt. Cerri has the potential to be world class in a very short span of time, and we're hoping he will develop well at our club. He is ideal as a Target Man, and is tall and has decent technique. We're ironing out small flaws that we find, and after a year to get adjusted to the English atmosphere, I'm sure he'll be a regular first teamer and banging in the goals for us. There were many clubs chasing him, including Barcelona, Juventus and FC Porto, but that we got him is a testament to our club's stature. Also, at 1.3 Million $, this deal is a magnificent bargain."

Next to sign a deal was another talented Italian youngster, Mario Pugliese.

View attachment 507621

"Mario was another beautiful buy for us. A young upcoming midfielder, I think he can very well go on to be a star. At the tender age of 17, he's already catching the eye of clubs all around the world, and we are simply delighted to have him here with us. I believe he has tremendous potential to grow, and the atmosphere and facilities here should help him achieve the very same. 1 Million $ was the transfer fee that was rendered to land Mario with us."

Finally, the third player to sign a deal with United was FC Gronigen's young dutch striker, Richario Zivkovic.

View attachment 416605

"Richario is another exciting prospect that we were able to trump other major clubs into getting, and at $875K, it was an absolute steal. He already has good technique and decent finishing at just the age of 16. After working on his mental game a bit, it's hard not to see Richario in the first team in the future."

The future of Manchester United is looking more and more secure, with Sherlock being able to secure these talented youngsters for peanuts, as opposed to their talent, in just a few days after being in charge.

View attachment 507632

We caught Sherlock Holmes in his office to give us more information about his securing of three exciting youth prospects for Manchester United. Excerpts:

Sherlock, first off, congratulation on your first successful foray into the transfer window.
Thanks a lot, it actually is a huge relief to have a successful start to the transfer dealings, as it gives you a tremendous boost.

It's just been a few days since you have taken charge. How were you able to pick out these players so quickly?
Well, to be frank, I have been studying good prospects and excellent players throughout my studies. Thanks to that, I was able to capitulate on it and quickly secure them before anyone else could poach them.

How were you able to get these talented youngsters for such low prices?
Let's say we were really lucky. Their respective clubs Parma, Atalanta and FC Gronigen had not tied them down to contracts, i.e they were on unprotected contracts. We just swooped in, were able to agree a deal with the players, and then just paid the compensation to their respective clubs.

That seems harsh on the clubs..
I for one, don't think so. If you have talented youngsters, you need to ensure that you keep them at the club. If I had any of these three, I would have rejected bids even for 20 Million $. I never understand why clubs hesitate to tie their exciting youth prospects to long term contracts, it gives them the security to continue giving them their best. Well, here at Manchester United, we are aiming to do things differently.

So you say, but United have also let go of talents, like Paul Pogba in recent times.
Well, I have tremendous respect for Sir Alex, and I'm a huge fan of his, but that is one case where I feel he made a mistake. Paul Pogba should have been a United player, go knows we've been deficient in Central Midfield for quite some time. Just look at how exciting of a prospect he is!

So, will you be correcting Sir Alex's 'mistake', now that rumours are afloat that Pogba is unsettled at Juventus?
Correcting his mistake? No-No, I don't have enough qualifications to even attempt that. And mayhaps Sir Alex was right at that point of time, and felt that the right move to do was letting Pogba go. We can't exactly fault him, since he continued his tradition of dominance, and left me with a League winning squad. So no, correction of his mistake? No. Who am I to classify his work as a mistake?

Will we see you foray more into the market, and perhaps get some first team players?
Well, I certainly hope so, but only if the player fits our style of play and the tactics we're intending to use. While I have room for error in the transfer window, being at Manchester United, I'd still prefer to minimize any blunders by overpaying for players, or getting players, just because I can. While we are the richest club in England, I still don't like to simply splash the cash.

Ok, thank you for talking with us Sherlock, we'll let you get back to your work.
No, thank you for taking the time out to come speak to me, always a pleasure to speak with you members of the media.

That was the excerpt of our interview with Sherlock. He has been frank to an extent, and told us why he bought these youngsters. But whether it will do Manchester United any good remains to be seen. He also showed signs of being his own man by classifying his predecessor's Pogba decision as a mistake, while at the same time cleverly modified his statement so as to not appear insulting. But other things aside, he'll want to strengthen his first team considering the fact that he is currently only on a one year contract, and his performance in the first year will determine whether or not he gets an extension.

ARSENAL ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF HERNANDEZ!

In the latest news coming out of the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal have announced the signing of Manchester United's 25 year old poacher, Javier Hernandez for a fee rumoured to be in the value of 40 Million $. Arsenal have splashed the cash on 25 year old Chicharito, and he is a signing Arsene Wenger firmly believes will add to the squad.

Arsene Wenger was all smiles as he gave his statement to the press.

View attachment 416587"Yes, we have managed to capture Javier Hernandez from Manchester United. He is a player I firmly believe necessary, and he will provide a big boost to our club's title chances. There have been many instances in the past where we were accused of being lackadaisical in the transfer market.. Well, we have put all those rumours permanently to bed in this transfer window. Add to the fact that we managed to sign him from our rivals, and our allure as a football club is evidently visible. This should go quite some way towards assuaging our club supporters after van Persie went to Manchester United.

When asked about the concern that Hernandez was signed from their main title rivals, Wenger wasn't too overtly concerned. "Javier is a very professional player, and I have no doubt in my mind at all that he will hit the ground running, and strive to give his very best for his new club."

When asked about why Hernandez picked Arsenal, Arsene Wenger had this to say, "Needless to say, we're a top, top club, and most players would love to don an Arsenal jersey and play for the club. We assured Javier of more playing time than he'd get at United, and he was happy to move here."

About the transfer amount, and the first bid being rejected, he had this to say, "Our intial bid of 30 Million $ was rejected, so we instantly went back with a bid of 40 Million $. I'm guessing that was a bit too much to turn down, and it was successful, and we got our man. We may have paid 10 Million extra than what we'd earlier anticipated, but after having got Hernandez, I believe it's worth it."

Arsene Wenger is pleased as punch to have finally gotten his man. Whether it turns out to be a good move for the club remains to be seen.

You lucky so and so, I can't sell hernandez first season for love nor money :(

I dunno man, I've always been able to sell Hernandez in the first season, arsenal seem to want him in most of my saves.

Might just be my luck, I've tried several times to move him on so i can sign Lewy without having to fight barce and real for his signature but no luck

Actually, it's more beneficial to sign Lewandowski on a free;; Especially if you're managing United, you can contrive to plot in such a manner that you can sign him easily, without hassles. Follow the story if you're curious about it, I'll put it as a plotline in it. I was successful for this very reason;;

MANCHESTER UNITED KEY PLAYER UNSETTLED?

Early rumours emanating from the Manchester United camp seem to indicate that United's key player is reportedly unsettled with the change in management at the club. Rooney, it was reported, was not exactly very happy with Sir Alex Ferguson. One would have thought that he would atleast be more content with a change in management, but turns out, Rooney's woes continue.

Will he, won't he?

Rooney is reportedly very unsure of where Manchester United is planning to go. Being such a high profile player, he probably feels that Sherlock doesn't possess enough qualifications to tell him what and what not to do. There are also rumours that Rooney and new boss Sherlock have had a spat regarding the direction in which the club is going. At the moment, it is not sure what exactly they had a spat about, and what the outcome was, but everyone is keeping their eyes glued on this saga.

However, as most would expect, the situation will be resolved internally, as Manchester United would be highly reluctant to let go of their star player. Especially more so as it can provide their rivals the necessary boost to overtake them in this slightly uncertain time for the club. He still has two years left on his contract, so Manchester United have some breathing time to convince their man to sign a contract extension. One thing is for sure, major clubs would be waiting to swoop in, should the Manchester United star decide to leave his club.

MANCHESTER UNITED ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNING

Manchester United today announced that they had signed Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper for 1.8 Million $.

Sergi Samper is just 18 years old, and is clearly a talented future prospect. This news is even more significant considering Manchester United were able to convince Samper to leave his boyhood club Barcelona, for Manchester United. Barcelona have been known to zealously guard their youth prospects, so it is unclear yet as to how Samper was allowed to leave, but the price makes us think that Sergi Samper was probably on an unprotected contract, and Manchester United just swooped in and got their man.

Sergi Samper is another exciting youth prospect, and this is Sherlock's fourth youth signing following Cerri, Pugliese and Zivkovic's signature. One naturally wonders if he is just interested in shoring up Manchester United's youth, or if he'll bring in some first team players too.
