MANCHESTER UNITED BOSS MIFFED WITH MEDIA!

View attachment 412083

Recent reports are emanating that the Manchester Untied boss Sherlock is pretty annoyed with the media, as of late. In essence, he is angry at Sky Sports recent coverage of the transfer round-up, wherein the transfers of the major clubs were present.

While the logos of all the major clubs were present in the report above their transfers, the logo of Manchester United was surprisingly missing. This angered Sherlock when it was brought to his attention. He had this to say,
"Yes, I'm not particularly happy with it. The whole point of a report is that it is checked before being published. We are a top, top club, and our logo is amongst the most recognisable globally, and we have a huge fanbase globally. Our logo should have been present on top of our transfers reports, like other teams' logos were. A more paranoid person would take this as a conspiracy against Manchester United, but we hope and know that such things aren't possible from such a reputed news reporting agency. We hope that such mistakes won't happen in the future, and that this is corrected as soon as possible."

Regarding the recent reaction of Sherlock regarding the logo, Sky Sports would like to stress that it was an honest mistake and not a conspiracy of any sort against Manchester United. Sky Sports has too much respect for the sport to resolve to such underhanded tactics. Proper care will be taken to ensure that such a thing doesn't happen again.

When asked about the statement issued by Sky Sports, Sherlock had this to say,
"As I stated earlier, I never accused them of anything. God knows, I have the greatest respect for the media. However, such an incident happened, it was regrettable, but it is good to know that care will be taken so that it won't repeat in the future."

You need to buy a couple of more senior players mate imho ...

Hamsik and the abovementioned Lewandowski maybe?

xD Thanks for following it mate ^_^

And as for transfers.. I dunno, mate;; With the current quality I have, I'm pretty sure I can easily win all the titles in my first year;; Mainly because United is crazy strong;; (unlike the new database);;

My wingers are pretty good;; I've van Persie, who'll be main goal-scoring option upfront, through the season, with Welbeck and Rescaldani as rotation options;; My defence is very solid, with lots of experience (Ferdinand and Vidic are actually good in the first year, Ferdinand deteriorates after that);; LB and RB are set for now, although I'm still a bit queasy about LB..

As you say, my ACM is the main issue, but the players I like are simply not available;; I tried for Hamsik, but Napoli wanted 80 Million $ for him;; So I'm planning to alternate tactics with a DM and ACM, that should even it out..

I'm also planning on getting a CM/ACM substitute to be safe, for evening it out ^_^

CB and CM are the main places where you need experience;; My CB position has Evans, Vidic and Ferdinand for experience, so that's covered. My CM has Carrick, Fletcher and Giggsy for experience;; Fellaini as the middleman, and Pogba as the younger option;;

Only City and Chelsea pose a very big threat in the League;; In Champions League, I need luck though, to get through. If I get Bayern/Barcelona/Madrid before my tactics are gelled completely, I might be screwed..

Edit: Lewandowski and not buying more expensive players are part of a further plotline I'm planning to build ^_^

I signed Rescaldani in my United save and hes been an outstanding goalscorer for me as a rotation option, Won me many points! Team is pretty much complete agreed with LB i signed Alex Sandro to replace Evra in a year or two and for AMC you should sign Will Hughes probably no one better than him in that position for a good price unless people get unsettled!

PRE-SEASON

Amidst all the furore of the transfer window, we bring to you the pre-season games of Manchester United. This will be the first chance for the Old Trafford faithful to assess their squad after a very eventful transfer window, which saw their star player Wayne Rooney leave to Bayern Munich.

The following were the games played by Manchester United as part of their pre-season routine.

Manchester United have had a mixed pre-season, with two draws and two wins. They didn't trample over the teams as was expected of them, but probably that was due to Sherlock experimenting with his squad more than anything else. We caught up with him, to give us more thoughts about the preseason he had.

First off Sherlock, how do you rate the preseason you've just had with the team?
I think overall, it was a pretty decent one. We didn't lose any matches, and I finished my main goal during the preseason, so I think we benefited from it, as a whole.

What goal would that be?
Well, with any team whose star player has left, there is bound to be some squad harmony issues. Two Senior squad team members have left for greener pastures, and we've got in 4-5 players who will feature in the first team this year. So, our main aim in this preseason was not to win everything, but to build up our squad harmony so that the players understand their roles and what is expected of them, and also, to get along with their teammates. We've been training for that through the time the transfer window opened, so we're happy with our goal acheivements.

Take us through the preseason.
Well, our first game was our most tentative one. It was our first match in a while, since after a couple of intra-friendlies, and the team was testing the waters, so to speak. Our cohesion wasn't too perfect, but we still managed to come out with a draw, thanks to Nemanja. Against Beijing was a surprise victory, as it was heading towards a draw, but for Chris' last minute header, which won us the match. Although it was a friendly, I was jumping around with joy at the late impact of the goal. Then came the match against Toulouse, and it was a goalless draw, but it was an experimental friendly, where youngster played, and held on to draw the match.

The final match much have been a shocker, considering the previous games?
Actually, it was the results of our training finally translating onto the pitch. Our squad harmony became pretty good during the three games, and the players were open to instructions, their tactical knowledge improved and it translated into an outstanding performance on the pitch. The boys played a free flowing attacking game, even while their mentality was to counter. Crisp passing and solid attacking meant that we finished in a good way. The game was a joy to behold, and two things made it even sweeter - this was the first match till date where the goals weren't scored by a header from a defender! And two and more importantly, three of the five goals came from youngsters. This completely justifies the faith I placed in them at the start of the window.

How do you rate your chances of the season ahead with your current team?
I've always stated that we have the team to go all the way and win every trophy this year, and I still stand by that statement. Only in the UEFA Champions League will we require a bit of luck with the draw, with which we can win that too. The squad is good, we have excellent cover for every position incase of injuries, and our overall squad quality is pretty good. The youngsters have some excellent tutors to help them understand the game. Plus, our result against Antwerp means that we can hit the season running on the back of a very good score, confident in ourselves to win.

Coming to the squad, will we be seeing any more players being brought in?
Well, it is too soon to confirm anything at the moment. I'm quite happy with my squad at present, and think we have more than enough quality. We will only try to get in players if they're available at the right price, and if the player is what we currently need. We are actually in talks with a couple of players, but I cannot reveal anything more right now. Once talks reach fruition, we'll be able to confirm or deny any rumours.

Well Sherlock, good luck for the busy season ahead, you've also got the Community Shield ahead of you, your first trophy match. All the best for it.
Thanks a lot, mate. Pleasure talking to you.

That was the Manchester United boss Sherlock, sharing his thoughts about the preseason with us. He thinks that the performance in the last game will only lead to better things for United, but only time will tell as to whether Sherlock's young squad has the potential to perform at the big stage.
