Any recommendations for an up and coming LB who can learn flat throw? Doesn't need to be a first teamer straight away. Had Alex Sandro on another save and just wouldn't learn flat bullet throw for no love or money!

Btw, in addition to DL(or to DR if you use the mirror version) it's possible that one of the central defenders also has "Long Flat Throw" PPM and take the throw-ins but in this case some changes must be done to the attacking corner setup: the instruction of the central defender who takes the throw-in must be changed to "Challenge Keeper" and the instruction of Central Midfielder(Defend) must be changed to "Stay Back".

So you can have combo of throw takers DL + one of Central Defenders(or if you the mirror version DR + one of Central Defenders).

At one time you can try to train "Long Flat Throw" PPM all your players for DL position(or for DR if you use the mirror version) and all your player for Central Defender position and this greatly increase your chances that someone of them picks this PPMs.

For example, Giorgio Chiellini(CD) from Juventus has "Long Flat Throw" PPM. There are a lot central defenders who have "14+" for "Long Throws" attribute.

Faouzi Ghoulam from Napoli is DL who has "Long Flat Throw" PPM.

What pitch size is best to use?

average pitch size should work just fine

funnily enough I've been eyeing up Ghoulam for the LB berth

Isn't Ricardo Rodgriguez the best FB to buy? he has high long throws (guess he can learn PPM) and corners in same time as well as very good defender so you have both very good player and corners + throwins for this tactic.

Ricardo Rodriguez is poor for full back and the only reason why you can at least look at him it's because he is potentially able learn "Long Flat Throw" PPM . Btw, "Corners" attribute isn't such important because I find it's enough to for the corner taker to have only "9+" for "Corners" attribute to do good most of the time.

He is extremely slow for full back. He has only "11” for Acceleration and Agility and this mean that even poorest opposition wingers are easily able to beat him. He simple isn’t able to catch no one with such low Acceleration and Agility.

Guys, I've updated the "tips" section at the OP and added this:

"I find that investing CA of your attackers into developing of his weaker foot is extremely efficient.

You should develop of the weaker foot of your strikers, wide midfield and attacking midfielder till it reaches "Fairly Strong" rating.

You can develop the weaker foot of your attackers by training them "Develop weaker foot" PPM(this PPM can be found at "Technique" section).

Please notice that the rating for the weaker foot also cost CA for player but as I already said it's worth it without any doubts.

"Fairly Strong" rating for the weaker foot gives player ability to dribble in both directions and pass/shot with both foot which gives crazy advantage."

TFF, how long does it take to develop the weaker foot?

Thanks! :)
