Good call eddlad. Imperial Commander didnt look good at all. Seemed to be pushing him hard before that fall. Good 2nd to last from What a friend though. Im impressed.

The problem with What a Friend is they didn't know whether his Lexus win was a fluke or not. He was trained with this race in mind and has showed it definitely wasn't a flash in the pan.

I'm betting on whoever Jake does as he is always winning money on William Hill.

Dear Mr Readman:

Here are the future French steaks that im backing.

Mon Mome (sentimental value from last year, good form in recent races though)
Cloudy Lane (sentimental value again, this horse has won me a lot of money)
Snowy Morning (i got in early and backed it at 50/1, odds have now plummeted to 15/1)
Officier De Reserve (a tip from a friend)

Im also keen on:

Comply or Die
Black Apalachi

But im currently weighing up the value in backing them when ive already tipped 4 others.

I have put money on comply or die in the past just because of his cool name.

You could already trade out of Snowy Morning and be in profit win or lose.

Gonna throw a tenner on Black Apalachi and a tenner on Tricky Trickster.

Wouldn't say you get better odds betting in football, there's only three possible outcomes of a match, so you have a better chance of winning compared to the National which I think has 40 runners. The odds reflect this.

I had a few ante post bets;

Niche Market @ 27
State of PLay @ 27
Snowy Morning @ 27
My Will @ 46
Don't Push It @ 50
Cloudy Lane @ 75
Cerium @140

I have backed the above horses win only on betfair and plan to lay each horse in running at roughly 5% of the bet price...obviously leaving a decent profit if catching the winner.
some of the bets are carrying up to 11 stone 5lb but as I am trying to lay in running they could trade short even if the weight does tell in the end.

there are more things to be put a bet on in football than win loose or draw

Ive Placed My Bets On Dream Alliance and Backstage. Two Horses in the middle of the odds at 40-1 and 25-1 respectively so fingers crossed eh....

In my house, between us, there is about 8 horses, so we have to win something surely?

I am telling you lads.

Place Money on Tricky Trickster each way. Super Horse, With a name like that it is going to do well. I out 60quid each way,

I have gone for Ruby (Big Fella Thanks) and AP (Don't Push It).

Niche Market @ 27 currently trading @25
State of PLay @ 27 currently trading @19 Layed
Snowy Morning @ 27 currently trading @15 Layed
My Will @ 46 currently trading @50
Don't Push It @ 50 currently trading @26
Cloudy Lane @ 75 currently trading @40
Cerium @140 currently trading @85

I will trade some more prices in running, if they shorten more.

My tip is Cloudy Lane. Back e/w. Some bookies paying top 5 as place.
