Gurkha fought off 30 Taliban

This dude is an absolute Hero not just for fighting off 30 Taliban but for standing on the front line day after day willing to take a bullet for something he believes in AMEN BROTHER and to ALL OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO HAVE FALLEN THROUGH OUT THE YEARS GOD BLESS

The gurkhas most definatly deserve citizenship in the UK, this guy (and many others) serve this country as if it were their own!
utmost respect for them, and any1 else in the armed forces!

talking about this the other day, such a don especially after throwing a tripod XD seriously deserves the medal cudda called in a nuke after those 30 kills ;)

THIS is why Ghurka's are massively respected!

Wouldn't like to **** him off :$

Nice to see some one with nothing but pride for the country he represents.

Heard about this the other day. Hero.

The row that erupted over Ghurka's was a huge joke too. Put your life on the line for a country that kicks you in the teeth.

Gurkha's = Jedi Knights

Seriously, read some of the **** they did in WW2, simply epic. They hardly get the credit they deserve.

When they are awarded their khukri, they slice their hand with it in order to essentially please the knife and become one with it.

The Gurkhas have been legends for the British army for over 150 years, and even in Imperial times were looked upon by the average British soldier as at least his equal whilst he tended to look down upon other empire troops.

This guy is merely maintaining a glorious tradition.

A full-on Hero. He should have got a VC.

Sorry if this has been pointed out, but why is it only the second highest? Sometimes our country, jheez...

Take a bow son. This guy is unbelievably brave, I cannot imagine having the balls to do what he done.

Not suprised it was a Gurkha, British Army selection is one of the toughest in the world, and inside that, Gurkha selection is one of the toughest in the regular army. These guys are hard as nails.

Hero.

Sorry if this has been pointed out, but why is it only the second highest? Sometimes our country, jheez...

Because VCs are usually given out for directly saving the lives of others.

One problem with this story, SECOND highest honour? What did he have to do for the highest, die? Ridiculous.
What a brave, brave man.

The VC is actually rarely given out, in fact a significant number of VCs are given after death, and most are given when the solder has sustained major injuries in the course of his action. and some of the reasons for awarding it are legendary. if he had been injured or killed he would have got one.

Didn't the guy who disarmed the most bombs ever get a VC ? (He is from Sheffield, hero)

This guy must have been so scared though, credit to the lad, another true hero

Sounds like it'd make a great film.
