This will be the very last tactic i release for FM11.

Kind of stumbled across this tactic after changing all my team round at half time after a very poor performance and thurned it round to a 4-3 win.

I then decided to run the tactic for the remainder of that season (12 games or so) and was undefeated. I then kept the tactic for the following season and had a 44 match unbeaten run with a 24 game winning run in all competitions. I also went a record 13 games without conceeding at one point.

As Liverpool in the 2015/16 season, I won everything, Charity Shield, European Super Cup, World Club Championship, League Cup (with reserve side playing all the way through), FA Cup, Premier League Title, and the Champions League. My only losses came when i fielded the reserves, and one time when I fielded the youth team.

Since I started using this tactic, I have also never failed to score, currently 86 matches without being held out in all competitions.

So here is a screenshot of my tactic and some screenshots of my season results and final league table:

And these are some fairly typical match stats from some games:

At the end of this season came the European Championships and I was controling England with a good but not world class squad and managed to win it using this tactic.

I haven't yet tried this tactic with a lower reputation team but I would have said the England team were fairly average and Liverpool were a top 3 team.

I'd love to get some feedback from other on this tactic as its my first real effort at the 4-3-3 after never really being able to make it work and sticking with my perfected 4-4-2.

Selected position info

CM's: both need to be creative players
AML: a right footed player (I had to train people so may take a little intergration time)
AMR: a left footed player (same as above)

Other Selected info

Pitch size - I have it on large but worked with medium too
Opposition instructions - None
Shouts - None
Team Talk - assistant unless you know better

If you would like to try this tactic out yourselves then please feel free but let me know who you are trying it with and how you get on!

Heres the link and enjoy!!!

is this just for top teams?? not for llm teams?

i havent tried it in the lower leagues yet but if you wanna test it go ahead!

it worked well with England and their squad was average id say so you never know, only one way to find out!!

anyone wanna test it?

Another 4-5-1 which looks like the same :)

Inside forwards, lone striker main job is to score goals, and the usual destroyer-passer creator combo, fullbacks supporting the attacks.

Nice tactic though, like the other also.

well ive never used any others so wouldnt know

the two wingers are advanced playmakers, as are the two central midfielders. so i guess you could call it a breakupper-creator-creator combo

in my last season the lone striker had more assists than goals

nope in prem, LFC update, what are player requirements? ie what players will do good in positions?

important ones are probably:

RCB - tall, good header, strong
LCB - pacey, good anticipation, good positioning
DM - ball winner
CM's - creative
AMR - left footed,
AML - right footed

Don't get me wrong, it was a statement rather than a criticism.

Started great!

I hope you have success with this tactic Harriers it looks like another good one you have come up with. Probably going to give it a go with Newcastle.

I won't use updates like LFCMarshalls awesome Transfer update...(waiting for the final release :p)
So it will be run on Patch 11.3.

I'll let you know how I get on :)

Overall

So far even though it has only been a few games I am pleased with how the team has played using your tactic, the midfield and wingers/inside forwards play exceptionally well. They make great forward runs and thread passes through for the forward. Cédric Bakambu has scored a hatrick thanks to some excellent midfield build up.

Creativity is key in midfield as you mentioned in the OP, so Kevin Nolan simply doesn't play well. Labyad however does and has formed a good partnership with Barton.

For my start of season I'm having a baptisim of fire by playing Man City..I'll now post some screen shots for you as it will explain it all better than I can in words.

wow cheers for such a comprehensive update! glad to see it has started well for you and hopefully once its reaches its highest fluidity it'll work even better!

i think that you've made some great signings but will take them time to gell too, but the furture is bright! Especially if you cn get a few more players in to suit the formation, like what you said about Nolan

keep the updates coming cause id love to see how you get on!

Brief update

Tactic is now fluid and 5 games in. Overall I am still pleased with how things are going considering I am meant to finish 18th so signs are good.

I lost Labyad to injury for a few weeks and since then my performances have been a little up and down...The amount of creation the midfields create is high and he is proving to be a real tailsman to the tactic.

Ok so a few results analysis and league standings as promised.

First loss was against West Ham, and truthfully I don't feel we deserved to lose by 4-1 but we did.. Also my squad seriously needs to be upgraded and some investment from the chairman would be nice...but he won't.

I'll continue to keep you updated.

Update

Ok I'm 21 games in now and thought it would be a good time for an update. Overall my team has perfored well, currently laying in 6th position in the league and through to the semi-final of the league cup.
After suffering my defeat to Bolton and checking again to see the fluidity of the tactic I made one slight alteration which has proved to be a good one. That was regarding the Match Preperation training, I now set that to my Assistant Manager (Sidnei Lobo) and since then my results have been fairly consistent.

I believe my players are still geling so form tends to fluctuate somewhat, but I am still doing well. Again considering I am meant tipped for relegation I believe I have done really well. Thanks to your tactic mind and only a small amount of micro-managment on my part :p

Recent changes

Match Preperation is now given to the assistant Manager once I see the tactic is fuild on all levels.

I'm in the process really of trying to build my squad for both now and the future, so I have transfered players that are not performing at all or consistently enough to warrent a first team place or to even push for the first team.
Only problem I am having which seems to be a reocurring issue..no one wants to buy my transfer listed players which has pushed my wages higher than I would like and for the moment capped my spending.

Transfers In & Out

View attachment 193255

So not a big change Just Tim Krul out on loan and Borja Bastón brought in (more for the future however scored on his debut against Wolves)

Players I am attepting to move on

Kevin Nolan
Shola Ameobi
James Pearch
Alan Smith
Xisco
Leon Best
Ole Soderberg

Also going to be letting some usual suspects go at the end of the season to ease my wage budget.

Sol Campbell
Shefki Kuqi

Ok a few screenshots for you, first league and squad.

Player Stats

Ok just a few of how certain players are doing. I find Kevin Gameiro can perform well but he is fairly inconsistent in my opinion. Steven Taylor is great...when he isn't injured, Hatem can be a little up and down consistency wise also, Adam Vass has performed well as has Guthrie the latter suprising me.

Final Word

So in general things are going well, however I wish I could score a few more goals against some of the teams I only won 1-0 and that was lucky. I miss the second striker like in your 4-4-2 tactic (Which I also tested for you and had great success) But again I can't complain too much and again the tactic plays well and the midfield is creative which I like personally.
I believe the defence needs to be fairly fast to close any gaps and stop any aggresive counter attacking movement by the opposition. Mine is rather slow sadly so it explains the ocassional goal leak.

Pace in general for the team is a good thing to have especially inside forwards and the pocher as they can create good chances for themselves.
Teams I play against have needed to try alot of long shots as they have difficulty breaking us down across the pitch thanks to the anchorman too. But be wary of those wonder goals you can ocassionally see from long shot specialists and the down right lucky shots.

Well I think that covers it for now, I apologise for the long windedness of my report but I hope it helps.
My next and final update will be at the seasons end. I'm sure you'll be glad to know :p
