At the half way stage of the season we are still aiming for promotion but after our blip in December we are 14 points behind which is not going to be an easy task. We have had some big players leave after a very good start to the season and we need some of our younger players to step up and show me and the fans what they can do.

Our aim is still promotion but at the same time I recognise that losing top players will have an effect and I would be happy with a top 5 finish as it shows progress within the team. Hopefully the board will still stick with me if we fail to achieve promotion.

Haverhill has their midfield to thank on a crisp winter’s afternoon at UTS Stadium as they showed their strikers how to finish.

With the game nearing an end, it was Dimeji Adineran who scored a powerful close range effort to give Rovers the lead. The Rovers fans might have been forgiven for thinking that would have been that but the scoring wasn’t over. Central Midfielder Kieran English finally rounded off their victory with a shot from 20 metres out.

Rands:
An unbeaten month which produced some fantastic results none more so than beating Fakenham 4-1. We needed to bounce back from a bad December and I couldn’t have asked for any more. Our two new strikers continued their scoring form from their previous clubs and have slotted straight into the team. With Stowmarket still 12 points ahead every game is a must win game and all we can do is hope they drop points between now and the end of the season.

Young striker Louis Peacock then equalised for Rovers with a powerful close range header. Winger Aiden Kirby scored what proved to be the winner with a nice effort from 15 metres. Board Confidence Update
To summarise, the board are pleased with your management of the team.

Rands:
A tough month with injury’s taking their toll. We lost Jack Renew for some of the month and no one seemed to step up to the plate. It’s disappointing to be out of both cups but now our focus will now be on promotion and hopefully the lack of cup games will help this. We are currently 7 points off the top of the league so we need to push this month to close the gap.

Haverhill have paid out £500 to be shared among the squad on a pro-rata basis after finishing 6th in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division.

End of Season Review 2020-2021

Season review

“Haverhill had been expecting to be fighting right at the top end of the league this season but inconsistency and poor form meant they were forced into settling for a slightly disappointing finish. The Rovers struggled to find their best form at times but were otherwise able to enjoy a campaign which saw them produce a highly respectable finish” – Sky Sports News

Rands:
An average season for us where I had expected us to finish higher but with some top players leaving and a big injury crisis mid way through the season we still managed a respectable finish.
