HELP. need to register players!

I have a problem. I've picked my England squad for the upcoming EUROS and accidentally left out a key player. How can I correct this using editor? If I try to remove an existing player from the national team it says that the squad is already submitted.

I thought i could injure a player using FMRTE but it wont let me tick the box.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The euros are in a week and i left out the captain!!

I don't think you can maybe i am wrong so you might have to do without but if you are england you have 2-3 more player who could be your captain

I have tried putting up the injury proneness of a couple of lesser players, but they wont seem to get injured. Also, does anyone know if you can still pick replacements after the tournament has started?
