Go on Player Instructions, and make all of your players 'pass short'.
Go n Team Instructions and make sure your passing is short, not direct.
Make sure a centre midfielder is in more of a deep position so they can collect the ball of the defenders.
Also have a player behind the striker 'AM' so your midfielders have someone to pass to easier.

Change some of your midfields to support instead of attack it works for me with there passing at 5 clicks and your attacking midfielder set him with mixed passing does good for me
