Thanks!! Gets even more interesting with the emergence of world class regents and stuff, it's why I'm loving about this save and can't wait to show people :)

Season 7 - 2020/21

So season seven and our second season in the Sky Bet League 2!! After last seasons mid-table finish I made some new additions hoping to maybe sneak into the play-offs this year.... lets see how we done:

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Champions with ease this time around, made some new additions but ultimately some of the younger lads upped their game i.e Tom Palfreyman, Louis John and John Marquis.

Like I said not many changes just most of the key lads improved and upped their games!!

Not much again to be honest!! Not managing to pocket enough cash to improve our facilities as much as I'd like to :/

Season 8 - 2021/22

ild1s-horsham-v-dulwich-hamlet-58w.jpg

So after lifting the Sky Bet League 2 trophy we were promoted to League 1. not too much difference in terms of quality after playing sides from both leagues before in the cup competitions so I was hopeful especially after some certain signings!! Lets see how we did:

42b5d351e49e7ba99a3c02a1a3da238d.png

Booom champions again!! With ease we breezed through the league thanks to my signings of regen right winger Lee Sargeant from Villa who was a class above for this league. I also snapped up Charly Musonda on a free who's a fantastic little flair player. Sergio Buenacasa was a revelation up front after I sold Marquis. Steven Sokolov and Brody Carroll were immense at centre back too.

Aside from the signings I've mentioned two Italians I snapped up were also brilliant in Alberighi and Gianetto took our team to a whole new level.

Another change of owner, promotion and Youth facilities upgraded.

Season 9 - 2022/23

horshamymca.jpg

So after our promotion last season we stepped into the Championship. I gutted the team of all the dead wood and players I thought weren't good enough and snapped up some loanees and free transfers yet again!! Lets see how we done:

e5fdec90831c6d3964222c2ad15d2926.png

PROMOTION ONCE MORE!!! Through the playoffs after beating Cardiff on penalties in the final. Extraordinary stuff, we looked like we were going to be settling for the mid table but a late push meant we made it into the play offs. It really was a team effort this season no-one massively stood out. Anyway we also had a superb FA Cup run lets have a look at that!!

All the way to the semi finals before Liverpool knocked us out sadly!! But big wins over United and Spurs.

Like I said no-one stood out too much. The goals were spread out throughout the team really, Paco Semioli was a really good signing for us and was attracting interest from some bigger sides....

Gianinetto become our captain and Lewis Baker our vice. We replaced our terracing with seats and won promotion to the holy land of the Premier League!!!

Season 10 - 2023/24

EPL_trophy.jpg

So we finally made it to the holy land of the Premier League. I was given a decent amount of money finally to make some improvements to the team, obviously a good number of them are regens these days but I did pick up a few veterans...

bc4c2d5529d50572200a15360f0a9419.png

So all of the players I signed were regens apart from Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Ben Wyatt. I wanted some Premier League experience and Alexis and Dusan provided that, also they're still decent enough players for us. A lot of notable regens but Mario Tomas is an absolute steal at that price, he's a really good striker but more about him later... I sold Paco Semioli even though he was by far our best player last year and a number of players were upset with me for that but for a player I signed on a free last summer to then sell him for £5m was decent in my opinion. Lets see how we got on anyway:

d057f68ea49c8be536f6d57d3a03a8e9.png

Very decent first season!!! We even managed to secure Europa League football as Liverpool won it meaning they got Champions League qualification and we got their Europa League spot!!!! Historic stuff. I feel like we've consolidated nicely but could have our best players poached with a number of clubs sniffing around Ben Wyatt, Mario Tomas and Lewis Baker.

Mario Tomas was a big signing and an absolute steal for the price we got him. He's now worth over £6m. Russell Evans showed he's grown with us through the leagues and paid back my faith in him with some stunning performances this season. Ben Wyatt proved an inspired signing and Dusan Tadic was a solid enough left winger for us. Alexis Sanchez was maybe a bit past it but still knocked in a couple of nice free kicks.

A lot of this upgraded but sadly the council blocked expanding of the stadium which meant we were stuck with our 5000 seater..... LAME!!!

Anyway I'm not all caught up pretty much!!! I'll do a squad intro with some screenshots of our players ect. then its monthly updates!!

Do people want a squad update and screenies of my players as most of them are regens? Got some nice ones too :)

Gonna finish this season im on first atm as I'm in March anyway then I'll do a meet the squad post :)

This is unreal, such insane progress!
Thanks man, its honestly not as hard as you'd think. Just spend time scouting and making the right loan signings and free transfers and find a good tactic and you'll be fine. We've had our fair share of luck and a couple of decent cup runs got us much needed money and rep boost. But I've nearly always had someone smashing in 20+ goals which is key, along with a solid centre back pairing.

Anyway latest season is done so I'll type that up, then a ''Meet the Squad'' post. Then start the new season :)

Season 11 - 2024/25

howie-hornet.jpg

So after we had a solid first season in the BPL we needed to build on that and consolidate. Plus we had the Europa League to juggle too, that can sometimes be a bit of a curse!! Anyway lets see what we did in the transfer window this season:

3bafd6ce83172cce283892860b3fb4e3.png

Ended up spending a ton over the season!!! Released some of the older players who were on high wages, we also sold talisman Mario Tomas after he asked for a wage rise twice(I gave him one first time) to Watford. Felt he was taking the **** to be honest, no-one's bigger than the club. Fernando Ramirez is a sensational centre midfielder, Lloyd McCarthy and Phil Keane are English regens who can grow and improve. Amine Akour came in then was sold in January for a small profit, Lataste is a superb right winger and Alex a Brazilian left winger. Wilmar Baron was a steal from Arsenal in January.

Anyway after spending a ton this season lets see how we fared in the league:

fbd79d436539823fb506743e00583d6d.png

Hmmm 6th. Might only seem like 2 places but the points different from last season is 17!! We missed out on Champions League football by the skin of our teeth too which would have been nice.

Europa League

9a691f28ae7a772d53140f2ca5d1d033.png

I'd say we done alright, got knocked out by eventual finalists Milan who lost to Everton. Solid first season in Europe, just wish the money was better in this competition!! Big difference between this and the Champions League.

A lot of the new signings shone but standouts were Lataste, Ramirez and McCarthy for me personally. We'd do well to hold on to some of these lads as some clubs are sniffing around...

Stadium increase, facilities upgraded. All still needs improving which will cost money...

Club Overview

85bfaf68af0082924245bde3a9a7ada5.png

So here's the club overview. Just under 5k season ticket holders which isnt too much. Value of the club is £259m which is quite nice. Continental reputation and we're predicted to finish 8th this season!!

Finances

2d6b336b86837f1dcd33f111a404a931.png

They're a bit all over the place at the minute. Until we increase our stadium size though and attract bigger crowds we're gonna struggle.

Facilities

d99df9bcc61eac8b4aec6ac6d6e1542a.png

So we're currently ground sharing for a third time with Brighton whilst we expand the stadium yet again. This time it'll take us up to a healthy 20217 seater which should be perfect for the size of our fan base! Training and youth facilities aren't great to be honest, but we have good junior coaching and recruitment too.

Affiliates

edc852b95a8dd4ea771ecde6007bb31c.png

We've got three affiliates, the best one easily being the Shaktar link!! We get first option to buy their players which is great as they always seem to have a few world class Brazilians and Ukrainians. Also we can loan players out to them. The Pompey link is good too as we can send some of our younger players down to them so they get some match time.

Transfers

ab7e14dca940daa94918dffb3b2eadf4.png

A lot of changes.... I lost star men Lataste and Ramirez after they asked for transfers when bigger clubs came sniffing, knew this would happen but I would have liked a lot more money for them. The legend that is Palfreyman left on a free, would have loved for him to stay but he couldn't quite cut it at this level. Spent a lot of money on the backline this window but we're pretty much sorted for many years now. Tiago Luis will partner Wilmar Baron at the back and Camilo Maiolino is a 20 year old defensive midfield wonderkid who's got stunning stats. Screenshots will be provided in the meet the squad post :)

Europa League Group

Simple enough group between us and Lyon really.

Centre back signed from Hull back in January 2024 for a measly £350k. No longer first choice but a useful player still.

Long serving left back, joined on a free waaay back in 2019. Still useful and I like having someone long serving around.
