Nippy winger signed from Pompey for £2.5m in the summer of 2024.

David Prosek

Joined this summer on loan from Barca. Looks a very tidy little player and can hopefully secure a permanent deal for him in the future.

Camilo Maiolino

My marquee signing of the summer and a superb looking defensive midfielder. Joined for a club record of £13m only 20 and classed as a wonderkid.

Dylan Mason

17 year old lad joined this summer for £2.3m after I sold Ramirez. Looks solid and can't wait to see him develop.

Lewis Baker

Ex Chelsea lad joined on a free back in 2022. Coming to the end of his days but a set piece specialist and useful player still.

Lloyd McCarthy

Brilliant English lad signed last summer for a measly £3.5m. One of our best players last season and a consistent performer.

Rodrigo De Paul

Signed on deadline day this summer. We were lacking in the right wing department so will stay this season on loan.

Joseph Diallo

Right winger signed this summer for £1.7m. Young and will improve hopefully.

Alen Gavric

Nippy and strong left winger with superb physicals for his age. Like the look of him and will improve. Signed for £1.8m this summer.

Bratislav Radivojevic

Versatile player who looks solid enough. Joined this summer for a measly £500k and I'll probably be looking to sell him for some profit.

Brazilian winger signed last summer on a free!! Maybe get one more season out of him before selling.

Strikers

Cormac Murt

Decent looking English striker joined on a free back in 2023. Never quite managed to crack the first team due to injuries and poor form.

Jacob Mthembu

Very decent young striker signed in January 2025 for £5.25m.

Dominik Grbic

Young lad joined in January 2025 I see his future on the wing more than up front.

Tim Hesse

Probably our best striker joined back in January 2024. Club captain

Poor start to the season down to tough fixtures
Draw Arsenal in the Capital One Cup
Ed Kirkwood will miss the first month of action

League

Manchester United 4 - 2 Horsham

Hesse, Mthembu

This United team is littered with so much talent. They were just too much for us really, Finotti is an amazing regen who's scored 12 goals in 16 games for Italy.

Horsham 2 - 1 Fulham

Hesse, Baker

A must win game for us with the run of fixtures we have coming up. Easier than the scoreline looked we totally dominated them.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Horsham

This Chelsea team is ridiculous and will take something special to stop them from dominating English football. Martin Odegaard and a 38 year old Luis Suarez with the goals for them!!

Monthly Review

Okay so a difficult start and its not gonna get any easier. Games against Spurs, Liverpool, Lyon and two against Arsenal next month is gonna be a real struggle and a crazy run in for us which could leave us near the bottom of the league. Tm Hesse has got off to a decent start in front of goal though and I never had a natural right winger in those games either with 20 year old Mthembu playing out of postition out there.

I'm honestly not sure how this season is gonna go for us to be honest I look at the squad and it's not as good as last season but it is younger which will be better in the long run.

Two goals in three games from the skipper in this difficult month.

Rough start but hopefully be able to turn it around after this tough run of fixtures.

Better month in terms of results
Tough start in the Europa League away to Lyon
Alen Gavric out for 2-3 months

League

Horsham 2 - 0 Tottenham

Baker, Hesse

We probably deserved to win here. Another goal each from Lewis Baker and Tim Hesse.

Arsenal 3 - 1 Horsham

Keane

I would have happily taken a draw here but we collapsed a bit late on and Suso completed his hat-trick with a free kick and nice finish with 10 minutes left.

Horsham 2 - 1 Liverpool

McCarthy(2)

What a match this was. Havlicek turned the ball into his own net to put Liverpool ahead, but just after half-time Lloyd McCarthy tucked away a penalty for us. Flanagan was then sent off after hacking down Alex. We dominated from then on but it took a long range screamer from McCarthy 2 minutes from time to secure us all three points.

Europa League

Lyon 2 - 2 Horsham

Radivojevic, Alex

1194109fcdfe41f2c180a492858fbdda.png

I wont lie... I'm strangely disappointed. We dominated and took the lead twice but gave it up twice!!! Its a good sign though playing so well away from home against the best team in our group.

Capital One Cup

Third Round

Arsenal 2 - 0 Horsham

Meh not really too bothered. I rested a number of key players here whereas they fielded a strong side again just 3 days after the league game.

Monthly Review

Considering the teams we had to play I'll take 6 points in the league from a possible 9. Beating Liverpool for the first time was nice after they broke our hearts a couple of seasons ago in the FA Cup semi final. Outclassing Spurs was also a sign that we're moving in the right direction, its just away from home against the big clubs we need to improve if we're ever to break the top 4.

In the cups, I wasn't too fussed about the League Cup. Its a distraction for us and will clog up our fixture list with the Europa League and league matches. I was very happy with our performance against a strong Lyon side just a shame we couldn't win the game.

Player of the Month

Lloyd McCarthy

Lloyd has been superb this season so far. Already matching his assist and goal total from last season it could be a real breakthrough year for the lad.

Tight in both tables. Will take a couple more months until we know where to aim in the league. In the Europa League everyone's level with 1 point but hopefully we can get wins next month over Twente and FK Austria to pull ahead.

Forgot to mention I'm England manager but let face it no-one cares too much until the World Cup and Euro's xD
