now, if there were other teams really interested in him and they had made offers that were accepted, as my next point in the previous post, I would offer him probably what he had asked for, except the clean sheet bonus and probably like 1 million more on his signing on fee, and if he decided to go somewhere else, so be it I would just get Consigli or Ustari or Romero instead

I avoid spending over 30m, I have a mental block about it, after 30m it's suddenly a huge signing and I have certain expectations, 2015 Fabregas was the only player on my current save I've spent over 30m on (and he was sooo good btw). If a Striker is worth 15m I'll try 26/27 incrementing up to 30 then bail and find someone who has the same potential but for up to about 5/6m

I'm Man City so it doesn't matter does it? I tend to go for cheaper deals but I can't resist signing Pato for 80M.
I got Pato to Chelsea for 38m in 2011
