How to make player a coach

I have done this plenty of times but have completely forgotten how and cant seem to find it anywhere?!

Once a player indicates what they want to do when they retire interact with them and suggest staff role, if they want to be a coach they may offer their services there and then.

I simply use the in-game editor to make most retired players (mostly the famous ones) have staff role as manager. I love it. Seeing Scholes, Giggs, Cannavaro, Salgado, Hierro and others managing teams is so much cooler than having some regen managers aged 32 managing teams like Inter Milan.

Under the "development" tab, go down to recommend future staff role and suggest role. Usually have to do it a few times for it to work. When I manage in a lower league I'll sign older players just so they can coach when they retire.
