Another day in Italian football another day of controversy....

Italian Football has always had it's strange stories but maybe none like today when Inter Milan Hired young a Young Scottish Manager who does not speak Italian, The deal is believed to be as part of Erik Thoir overhaul and dream of bringing back the glory days to Inter.

"dominazione"

View attachment 349988

Thoir who has an expectation that Inter bring back the dominance they had under form managers Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho with Inter not picking up any silver wear in 3 seasons this is something that is no longer acceptable for this Italian Giant.

with Italian manager Walter Mazzari leaving Miller is looking to bring his own stamp and looking to apply a style of football that has seen Juventus do so well with a modified 3-5-2

View attachment 349975

Miller's squad is a mixed bag with strength and depth but one thing is clear they no longer have the quality that Inter fans are used to with no players that are at the top drawer of global football with Alumni such as : Ronaldo , Crespo, Zanetti, Djourkaeff

Identifying the Key Players for this season :

All this and only one day in the job.....

"This wonderful night will give us the colours for our crest: black and blue against a backdrop of gold stars. It will be called Internazionale , because we are brothers of the world."

Day Two in Milan:

With Chairman Erick Thoir's influence in the South East Inter have confirmed a tour of Australia and Indonesia as well as they have started the hunt to form an International Partnership with USA and the lucrative Asian market being the ideal link to help bring the foundations for Inter's Global stage.

View attachment 349710

Inter Milan have also confirmed that they are on the look out for a new Asst Manager, Miller is believed to want someone who has experience of British Football to be his counterpart that can help translate his philosophy of how football should be to his new Italian side.

Transfer News:

Inter Milan have put a bid in for experienced Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro to help bring experience to the Inter forward line, Pizarro who is also believed to have interest from the Premier League is someone that they believe would be invaluable for the Nerazzuri who can help develop the likes of Icardi and Longo in too strikers that can help lead the club forward.

View attachment 349709

Also believed to be on the Inter radar is another Bayern Munich player in half German/ half Italian full back Diego Contento who is someone Miller believes he can develop into a top class full back - Contento who has already seen a bid from German side Wolfsburg accepted will have to see Inter act fast if they want there man.

View attachment 349707

Miller has also stated in a recent news conference that he is looking for a top class "Number 10" someone who can create and score goals something that will be pivotal in the way that this Milan team is set up - With inside the club reporting there is 13 million pounds available to spend currently.

Inter have also confirmed today that they have received a bid of 15 million pounds for Strong Brazilian Defender Juan Jesus the bid of 15 million has been lodged and with Thoir promising 85% of this will be reinvested in the playing squad and with Andrea Rannochia and Mattias Silvestre already able to cover that position the move is certainly tempting for the Nerazzuri

View attachment 349705

Inter have also confirmed that Alvaro Perreria will later today have his medical before his 1.9 million pound move to Marsellie as well as developmental squad players Patrick Olsen poised to join Modena on a season long loan and Alfred Duncan looking to choose between Empoli,Brescia and Novara as part of his development.

( any thoughts feedback? - This my first attempt at this so would appreciate any help or support?)

South East Asia and Australia Tour update:

Inter have found themselves playing somewhat lesser competition in this tour but with the point of the tour being based around Generating a team bond and a tactical understanding of how they are looking to play for the coming year.

After two weeks of negotiating Inter are pleased to announce a deal with American franchise Seattle Sounders which will help boost the profile of Inter in the states with players such as Clint Dempsey and former Inter striker Obi Martins currently with the sounders it is believed there will be a match for these teams to play each other in the coming months.

View attachment 349651View attachment 349645

With Chairmen Erick Thohir present at every single game as part of the promotion of this tour Inter would have seen the owner pleased with the amount of goals they scored in these games with 32 goals scored in 4 games and 0 conceded.

View attachment 349650

The games were broken down into the following

View attachment 349642

Inter have also been more active in the transfer market since the start of the tour confirming rumoured deals for Pizarro and Contento from Bayern Munich with Pizarro costing 400k and Contento on a season long loan.

Inter have also brought in another Centre back with Juan Jesus deal to napoli close to completion and Sevilla intersted in Andrea Ranocchia the club have acted fast and brought in former Man City and Fiorentina centre back Stefan Savic in a 7 million pound 4 year deal

Miller has stated he can't wait to work with Savic and is someone who he believes can reach the top of his game with Inter.

View attachment 349636

Inter have also recently been linked with Southampton player Gaston Ramirez who was once a star of Italian football at a young age who seems to have stalled in the Premier League and with Millers desire for a number 10 could the Uruguayan be the man to unlock the defense's for the nerazzuri.

Inter have also enquired about the availability of Shinji Kagawa on a year's loan with nagotomo and Thohir used to help lure the Man U star but there is plenty to go in the shape of that deal.

Inter have also taken former Juventus Midfielder Luca Marrone on a 4 week trial to assess the ability of the Young Italian.

Pre season update:

Finally Inter have confirmed there new Asst Manager by bringing in former Liverpool youth manager Josep Segura who was believed to be a big part in Lionel Messi's development at Barca and was also part of Liverpool's academy between 2009 and 2012.

With Inter having so many potential Young stars in Icardi, Longo, Kovacic and Contento it is believed that Segura's influence on youth is beleived to be the reason he has got the job.

View attachment 349588

Inter have seen an unfortunate turn of events Juan Jesus deal to Napoli has fell through and no formal bid was ever made for Ranocchia which now means Inter have Vidic,Savic,Jesus, Ranocchia, Silvestre and Andreoli with only two positions available the Inter Defence will have to be at there best every game or there position could be under threat.

Inter have also seen deals for Ramirez and Kagawa completely break down due to wage demands which Inter were unwilling to meet has left current boss Miller in a slightly frustrated situation and is believed to be now focusing on the Loan market for this season.

View attachment 658968

"we are hearing news that Inter Milan have signed Manchester United wonderkid Adnan Januzaj on a long term loan deal"

View attachment 349579

With the Januzaj believed to be one of the best young talents in the world the chance to develop with a team the size of Inter the deal was seen as a similar mould of Courtois' loan deal at Atletico Madrid with a long term development at a top team to hopefully help turn januzaj from a "super sub" to a "Super star"

View attachment 349573

Inter fans are believed to be delighted about the deal to bring the young Belgian to there team and hope to see the same man they seen take his premier league debut season by storm.

In other news Inter have drawn former European Champions Red Star Belegrade in there Europa League qualifier

View attachment 349568

The blue and white revival is well and truly under way

Good start mate.. Would be amazing if you manage to bring Januzaj in on a permanent basis.

The first Match:

Inter today start the real test today with Coppa Italia being the first competitive match for Young Scot Manager Gavin Miller with Serie B side Spezia being the competition.

Miller is quoted as saying "These games are always difficult Spezia go into the game with nothing to lose and we go into this game with a history and expectation of victory - This is the type of scenario that you journalists dream of if we are to fail."

When asked whether Januzaj would start against Spezia, Miller replied with " His time to take the nerazzuri fans will come - is that today... I don't know yet."

View attachment 349549

MATCH REPORT

An early scare for Inter when Spezia took the lead with a shock goal... Inter fans immediately looked worried with a young Scot at the helm of there precious club. Peruvian Summer signing instantly changed the mood of the stadium with a wonderful finish from outside the box. Mauro Icardi then lightened the mood even more with a cool penalty and then quickly dispatched a rebound in the box and then another penalty for a hat trick a great way to fully introduce yourself. further goals from Nagotomo and Dodo who play in advanced full back position for Inter as part of Millers Tactical thesis looked a really strong and promising performance.

View attachment 349548

Man of the Match: Claudio Pizarro

Inter fans are believed to be happy with the exciting brand of football that was on display - Inter have since drawn Sampdoria in the next round which will be a much tougher test.

The next big test is now Red star in the Europa league qualifier

Nemanja Vidic was interviewed before the game and said this game would have a special place in his heart as Red Star have a great place in his heart as this is the place that made him be the footballer he is now... He is also excited about how his Inter team will do in the competition " A team like inter deserve the best and the best we can give our fans this year is to go all the way in the Europa League this is a competition we want to win to put ourselves back in the European lime light"

Miller has also stated Januzaj will play a part in this game!

Red star have confirmed they will line up with a back 5 and play 1 defence mid in attempt to frustrate Inter's free flow football

View attachment 349535

Good result but sloppy away goal conceded with Handonovic making an error from a cross ball.

With the second leg against Red star taking place in 6 days and then the first game of the season away to napoli Miller may look to rotate some of the starting 11 for the next game,

View attachment 349534

Few changes in the team seen Savic make his debut and Kovacic comes in as well samuel Longo starting up front.

Man of the match : Claudio Pizarro

With Europa League qualification confirmed and a minimum 1 million in prize money given to Inter the team are all expecting to give the competition a strong run and hopefully go all the way.

Inter have since been drawn in the following group:

Inter should have the quality to get through this game but a few tough games away against Dinamo and Brugge

FYI DURING THAT UPDATE LAPTOP CUT OUT AND HAD TO PLAY THE FIRST QUALIFIER AGAIN WAS RAGIN!!!

View attachment 659080

Today the real test for Gavin Miller started with a difficult away game to Rafa Benetiz' Napoli.

Miller has said that he would be delighted with a point in this game as Napoli are a team in the current standings are above Inter in terms of recent years performance and that Inter have to remember to walk before they run.

Benetiz seemed to have more respect for Millers Asst spaniard Segura than he did for Miller... and this was to set the tone for the rest of the game.

View attachment 349532

Inter drawing 0-0 at half time and keeping the game tight Miller is said all he did was tell his team they are not better than you! show them they need to respect us and after bringing off young striker Icardi who was looking frustrated for experienced Palacio the changed seemed to have work with a cool finish from the argentine which sent the Inter away fans into a state of euphoria with so little left in the game the 3 points were almost in the bag... Miller then pulled his wing backs back to full backs and looked to shore up the game.

Man of the Match : Palacio

1 game , 1 goal , 3 points and a good away win and a message sent out to the rest of Italy.

With no more transfers expected and a two week international break it is expected to be quiet for the nerazzuri

with only 2 and half hours left of the Italian Window Inter Milan have accepted a 15 million pound bid for Japanese International Yuto Nagotomo from Shaktar donetesk the deal is believed to be 7.5 upfront and 7.5 over 12 months

View attachment 349516

Nagotomo was part of Millers plans but he is said the deal was too good to turn down for the 26 year old squad player it does leave Inter a little short on the right side with no real cover for Danielle D'Ambrosio at RWB - Inter will need to look to train either Contento or Dodo to play that position or look to the Youth side for cover.

View attachment 349514

Transfer round up:

In

Best Signing : Adnan Junazaj - So much potential and has the ability to change a game single handed and could be massive for Inter

Value Deal : Claudio Pizarro - The veteran striker has started on fire with Inter and has shown you are only as old as you feel with the 34 year old scoring 3 goals in 4 competitive games and 2 assists

Out

Best deal : 15 million for nagotomo who has been second fiddle behind D'ambrosio and Dodo is surey a good deal for the 26 year old

Watch out for : Alfred Duncan and Ibrahim Mbaye

View attachment 349513View attachment 349512

These two young defensive players have joined Novara and Getafe respectively in a bid to improve there chances of being part of the Inter revolution

September Review:

Inter Manager Gavin Miller spends his first full month under the limelight and spectacle which is Serie A and the expectation of nothing short of victory will do.

With a fan base on the brink of total collapse through silverware starvation...Miller can be sure that every match he is walking on eggshells with the nerazzuri faithful.

After a good win away to Napoli - Inter found themself at home to Atalanta and with a few changes with goal hero Palacio finding a place in the starting 11 after his heroics in Naples

View attachment 348871
View attachment 348869

First home test passed...a good 3-0 home victory with Palacio providing the goods again. 2 games and 3 goals with Palacio stating that if he reaches his target of 20 goals this season he will shave his solitary dreadlock for charity!

Inter's next trip was an away tie to Dinamo Moscow in a game where Inter were at least expected to pick up a point.

"From Russia with not so much Love"
"Soviet Suicide"

are just a few of the headlines after Inter's loss to the mid table Russians

View attachment 348866

All those doubts that were there on July 3rd started to surface again with Miller's naive gung ho tactics being the focal point for the skeptics.

Back to domestic duty with an away tie to Cesena again Inter had the expectation of a all or nothing affair.

View attachment 348864

More disappointment for the Nerazzuri blowing the chance for 100% win record with previous games hero Palacio missing from 12 yards and the murmurs in the crowd have started to grow louder.

Next up was an inform Lazio side against the fragile looking Inter with confidence hanging by a thread after the previous two results... Claudio Pizzaro's early goal looked to settle nerves for all of 53 minutes when Inter found themselves trailing again and the boo's around the stadium started to take real effect on the players. Miller immediately turned to the Bench with a triple change which seen with a quick fire double from Alvarez and Vidic seen Inter take the lead but this game was not over yet with 5 minutes left German legend Klose broke Inter fan's hearts and had emotions on a rollercoaster again.

View attachment 348863

A tricky away tie to unbeaten Chievo had a game which Inter were favourites to win have a heightened sense of pressure and so early in the season after throwing away games against Cesena and Lazio only a victory would cut it for the nerazzuri

View attachment 348861

step up Claudio Pizzaro who seemed to lift all pressure that the Black and Blue's were under and he celebrated with his manager directly to show a form of unity that the squad are behind the young Scot.

View attachment 348860

So after 5 games and a undefeated domestic record the Nerazzuri are maybe in a better position than there fans seem to give them credit for at this stage early in the season.

Inter Fans player of the Month :

Palacio with a 75% shot accuracy and some crucial goals Palacio is keeping young stars Mauro Icardi and Longo out the team and looks to have formed a good bond already with Claudio Pizzaro

Any feedback would be great:)

An action packed few weeks for Inter with no less than 8 games in 6 weeks the resources at Inter are sure to be stretched on the Home front and the European battle.

The first game of the busy schedule seen Inter take on Portuguese opposition Maritimo in the Europa League

View attachment 348429

Inter started this game licking there wounds from the last European exploit in Russia - with aspirations of a major confidence boost and after only 26 minutes Inter seemed to have that with a commanding 3-0 lead again with Claudio Pizzaro proving a thorn in the sides of all that come in his path. 90 minutes later and a 4-1 victory Inter seemed to have a spring in there step again all be it with some tired legs as sacrifice as part of this dismantle of the Portuguese.

Now only a few days later Inter found themselves back in action against a struggling Genoa a side, An opportunity to bring in some fresh new faces to the starting line up which found previously frozen out Campagnaro finding a place in the starting 11 alongside serbian battler Kuzmanovic and it also seen Claudio Pizzaro not be in the starting 11 for inter for the first time.

View attachment 348423

a shock Genoa lead and that familiar feeling once again had Inter fans with that sinking disgruntled feeling once more with Spaniard Falque lobbing the helpless handanovic after only 12 minutes but like so many occasions this year Inters "Bounce back ability" to quote the in famous Iain Dowie seen unlikely source Hugo Campagnaro with a fantastically cool finish from a well worked move. Inter then squandered a few good chances and seen a disallowed goal from Yann Mvila - Leave the nerazzuri with a frustrated look once again.

View attachment 348420

Millers unbeaten domestic record something most team's would be proud of but when drawing at home with bottom of the league and losing a late goal to lazio... Clinical is a word that is not being associated with the Nerazzuri at this moment in time and before the game with high flying Fiorentina currently second in Serie A - Inter have confirmed a lot of time this week was spent on work done in the final third of the pitch.

View attachment 348418

Again with a few changes in the team to try and keep everything Fresh Inter added D'ambrosio , Mateo Kovacic and Claudio Pizzaro back to the fold.

with nothing really happening in the game until the 41st minute when a stupid handball by Ricardo Alvarez seen Inter give away a penalty which the normal Ice cool Rossi stepped up to take... Only to be thwarted by a great save from Inter goalkeeper Handanovic

View attachment 348428

with the game sparking into life Inter caught on the break by fiorentina with wing back dodo given the ball away and being found out of position this left fiorentina with a 4-2 which ended in manual Paqual slotting home.

Again that frustration and disillusion was creeping back into Inter's game. but for all of one minute of the second half when Claudio Pizzaro swung in a fantastic ball which split the fiorentina defence for Palacio to side foot home , Inter on a resurgence clear to all.

Miller then decided to up the ante by throwing on Wonderkid JANUZAJ

View attachment 348425

Who had am immediate impact on the game with a fantastic free kick which saw only a great save from neto denying the young Belgian.

From the resulting corner swung in by Januzaj saw Juan Jesus head home to give Inter a well deserved lead.

With Inter in control the game was put to bed by none other than Januzaj with a well worked move and a low hard drive leaving Neto found flat footed.

3-1 Inter with an empathic end to the second half

View attachment 348424

The result seen Inter leap frog Inter from 4th to 2nd and keep there undefeated record.

View attachment 348422

as per any feedback would be great - any thoughts suggestions / anything you would like to see?

View attachment 347088

October has seen another big incident in Milan although this time for AC with Pippo Inzaghi getting the sack, Miller has been quoted as saying he is not surpised and that managing AC is a poisoned chalice as they will not be able to bring the success they had for a long time.

View attachment 347070

Some are not sure whether this remark is to play to the Inter fans but it is sure to help win them over.

Back to Europe and Inter travelled to Belgium to play Club Brugge who were breathing down there neck in the Europa League , Miller said its important to keep the positive run going and get a good result tonight

View attachment 347073

A game where Inter could have won by 5 or 6 but had to settle for a 90th minute winner from an unlikely source of Yann Mvilla to get his first goal for the team with a deflected shot.

Back to domestic action and this time it was one of the most important games of not just the season but of the Italian fixture card with Inter away to Juventus who were top of the league by 4 points and a win for Juve could see them with a 7 point gap so early in the season which would make it a difficult task for Inter to try and challenge to claw back that type of advantage.

View attachment 347072

A game that was very tight with both sides not wanting to lose this fixture but on the 74th minute Juventus took a deserved lead through kwadwo Asamoah from a well worked move which seen the nerzzuri fall behind and with little threat shown so far it would take something special and every single player to dig deep with only a quarter of the match remaining.

Hold that thought : Inter reply instantly straight from the kick off D'Ambrosio runs down the right hand side and whips in a horrible ball which seen claudio pizzaro free at the back post and heads home for his 7th goal of the season

View attachment 347071

A shock to the Juventus system and a bolt from the blue literally.

with a lift of energy and belief from the Black and Blue machine saw Inter press forward and forward with Juve well and truely on the back foot.

"I can't believe it they have turned it around Kuzmanovic from 25 yards beats Gigi Buffon with a fantastic strike"
" This Inter team look like they believe they can beat anyone"

View attachment 347069

These quotes from pundit James Richardson are sure to be music to the ears of the Nerazzuri faithful.

What a comeback! What a result!

Now only a point behind Juventus in Serie A

after the match Gavin Miller stated his side can win the title if they show that kind of fight in every single game!

only 3 days later and the elation from the Juve result , Inter were back in Action against Calagari and rumored Inter target Marco Sau

View attachment 347067

The Inter fans were in party mode right from the get go at this game... Only to be silenced By Marco Sau

View attachment 347066

The Italian striker on the fringes of a national team call up, found the back of the net with a cool finish where he took the ball by nemanja vidic and slotted under the on rushing handanovic.

From bad to worse - Straight after half time Inter skipper Vidic seen red for a clumsy challenge outside the box

View attachment 347065

Inter had looked all but dead and buried until the 70th minute when advanced playmaker Alvarez stepped up from a free kick and curled one home right into the corner of the top left. It was always going to be a set piece that got Inter back into this game.

Inter had to hold on for the last 20 minutes and seen a tactical change to see the game out.

After the game manager Gavin Miller seen the positive and spoke again of the dig and fight that is installed within this Inter team at the moment which has helped them on there ten game unbeaten run.

November Update:

Inter started November with an away day to Parma:

View attachment 346998

This seasons top scorer Palacio put the blues ahead with a cool finish in the box early in the first half...but on the 45th minute from a corner Inter conceded with Gabriel Perelta headed home in the dying embers of the first half.

at the start of the second half Young signing Riccardo Fiamozzi the former Ac Milan youth player scored a spectacular goal from the edge of the area to put the blues ahead.... but late in the day former Inter player Antonio Cassano came back to haunt his old team with a fantastic finish curling into the top corner.

View attachment 346996

Next up for the nerazzuri was a European tie against club Brugge at home with Inter looking to secure a place into the next round.

View attachment 346994

The game started well for Inter with Hernanes the former Lazio midfielder curling home a free kick to put the nerazzuri ahead.

View attachment 346992

Then in the 31st minute Diego Contento scored a good team goal with the ball pulled back for the italian who is on loan from Bayern to blast into the roof of the net.

It went from bad to worse for Brugge when Center back Oscar Duarte put into his own net.

with the result finishing 3-1 Inter manager miller has stated that his squad believe that they have what it takes to win the Europa League and that they are determined to put a mark on the European front.

Empoli were up next for the Milan giants ..Empoli somewhat of a surprise package sitting 7th in Serie A and have been very tight and hard to break down.. and with some tired legs Miller made some changes with Mauro Icardi starting up front and Hugo Campagnaro coming in for D'Ambrosio

View attachment 346981

Miller had said he had challenged Mauro Icardi to start living up to his potential:
View attachment 346977

The young Argentine scored with the only real clear cut chance of the game when played through by partner pizarro and Icardi then chipped the keeper when one on one.

After the Game Mr Miller was saying that Mauro has to start showing more in the games or he could find himself out on loan until he is ready to be the quality of an Inter Milan player.

Former Inter boss Andrea Stramocinni Now udinese manager was the next challenger of the Black and Blue unbeaten record.

Brazillian midfielder Hernanes then crushed the former inter boss hopes of an upset within 8 minutes with two identical goals with late runs into the box not being picked up and effectively killing Udinese hopes before they even had a chance.

View attachment 346973

Udinese then pulled back a goal from Frenchmen Thereau but by this point Udinese were down to ten men and would be nothing but a consolation.

This pushed Inter upto 2nd and again kept there unbeaten domestic record upto 12 games.

Inter then seen Valbuena pull one goal back for the russians and we have seen Inter lose two goal leads twice this year.

Inter Milan started this game like a house on fire pressing every early ball and closing down the Milan team and the early hard work paid off when palacio intercepted a pass from danielle bonera and was left one on one with abbiati and rounded the keeper to make it 1-0 to the nerazzuri.

it only took the Black and Blue of Milan 9 minutes to double there lead when Riccardo alvarez finished off a nice one two with Pizarro.

AC fans had already started leaving the stadium and it was only 35 minutes in.

by half time half of the AC section was empty from what was a sellout crowd of 53818

Ac scored which was a consolation to make it 3-1 but it was a little too late

Man of the match Ricardo Alvarez was quoted saying that this was one of the proudest moments of his career and that Inter believe they can beat anyone right now thanks to the confidence installed by Miller.

When questioned abate stated he hopes to win a permanent move to the black and blue side of Milan having found himself frozen out at AC - Abate is sure to have his doubters but the parting bow to his old employers were that in terms of progress Inter are the only half of the Milan side that look like being able to challenge Juventus.

Inter also confirmed that they had reached an agreement for a pre contract with Sami Khedira and he will join them at the end of the season beating the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal to the German International signature
