Not a bad start to the season. Disappointing to have lost the Community Shield after i bigged us up to win it!! God ****.
Massive start to the league though, 5, 8 & 7 goals in the first 3 games is just ridiculous!!! Then a 9 - 0 shortly after Goal fest.

Dont know what really happened. It was quite an even game, we both had plenty of chances but neither side took all their chances. Man Utd sneaked it though which was frustrating. I did leave a big gap between my last friendly and this game so whether the match sharpness wasnt quite there i dont know? hmmmmm

Massive start to the season. It was 1-0 to us when Batth got sent off, then all of a sudden we started playing awesome haha. To finish up 5-1 is impressive. Chuffed to see Roberto getting amongst the goals so early on. Think he could be a vital player this season. He wasnt amazing last season, but hes settled now.

Being drawn against Hamilton in the Qualifiers was a relief for me. Its nice to have slightly smaller teams to rotate your squad. I fielded a completely different team apart from Cillessen. Fowler, Crockett, Mings, Bishop & Cole all products of our academy started the game along with new singings, Rossiter, James, Llorente & Malele. So to win son comfortably was very satisfying. Everyone played awesome. My bench was full of academy products also. Cocada looks a real decent prospect at CB so i hope he improves as much as im expecting.

WOW. WHAT A GAME. At 37 minutes i was ripping my hair out wondering how on earth we were losing 4-1... A goal by Roberto & Woodrow pulled us back to 4-3 at half time. A rather assertive team talk seemed to have done the trick as we come back out and equalized. To then go back down to 4-5 got me thinking it just wasnt going to be our day. Bringing on Fowler, Crockett & Llorente turned out to be a master stroke as we won 7-5 with Crockett & Llorente scoring a goal each. PHEW.

The 2nd leg meant i would change the whole side again. This time Clarke started in goal seeing as the tie was won. We still dominated but only a 1-0 win was going to be. Never the less, its more game time for my youngsters and a win.

Back to League action and we were welcoming back an old stalwart of the club. Christophe Berra who was apart of our Championship & Premier league winning side was sold last season due to old age and being surplus to requirements. He won promotion last season with Forest so a reunion was on the cards.
It wasnt a fairytale return for him though. We absolutely tore them apart. Winning 9-0 and to be honest, it could have been more. What a win though.
On a rampage at the moment.

Disastrous defeat away to Brentford. I wasnt happy though, there was certainly some conspiracy against the club this game as the ref gave Brentford a whopping 3 penalties....WOW. We didnt take our chances and red card just ruined our chances of a comeback. Very Very gutted to lose. Unbeaten season is out of the window....

We had in our hands at 2-0. Then all of sudden...red mist....we got 5 yellow cards and another 2 red cards. Our discipline is just completely outrageous. Made me want to check the players instructions, and this new version of the tactic has all players on hard tackling!! Its only these 2 games that has made me want to check so it cant be too bad.
We lost 3-2 in the end to a strong Atletico Madrid side and our poor form in the Champions League goes on.

After receiving all those yellow and red cards so far this season, i checked the player instructions and changed all the players from hard tackling to default. Not sure if it effected our result, but we only had 9 fouls and 1 yellow card which is a massive improvement from previous games. Winning 4-0 was massive. It might look better than it actually is though. Man City finished 5th last season so they are perhaps not the force they once were.

Should have beaten Brentford and should be top. But ill take 2nd for now. 27 goals in 5 games is crazy stuff.

I was drawn with Atletico Madrid, CSKA & Club Brugge. Madrid will prove difficult opponents, Club Brugge i should brush aside. So our qualification for the knockout rounds will basically all come down to how we fair against CSKA in my opinion.

Our next 5 Premier league games look winnable. Arsenal & Liverpool will be the real test. Fulham in the 3rd of League cup means i can rotate my youngsters in to rest the big guns for the big game at the Emirates.
I may decide to rest my big guns for the Club Brugge game too, but i will see. At this stage of the season playing a few games on the trot shouldnt too much of an issue.

Hopefully when i next update i should be top of the Premier League and in top 2 in CL.
