Newport Isle of Wight FC
In this challenge, I plan to dominate England and Europe with Newport FC. However, I can only achieve this by using products of my youth development. No signings whatsoever. I may only ever sign a player if that player was previously sold by me, or greyed out players and are therefore still a product of my youth development.
Newport FC are based on the Isle of Wight, which in itself will be a challenge due to youth intake and how it works - taking the best players from within the local area, which isn't easy when you're on an island. However, gradually improving facilities and my youth recruitment system should steadily provide a self sufficient 'fountain of youth' all the way up the divisions.
The story will start from the Wessex League, in the nineth tier of Englisgh football. The aim is to get to the Premiership as soon as possible. Any leagues or cups on the way would be a bonus.

Tactics & Style of Play
I always try to play an attacking, free flowing style of play and most of the time it works for me. I've yet to challenge myself with it at this level, but I'm hopeful as we have a decent squad to pull it off.
As you can see - we are lacking strikers.
This may be a major problem throughout the season, although, it isn't uncommon on Football Manager that at lower levels, the rest of your team does put in their fair share of goals too. This is what I am hoping for anyway.
Midfield looks good.
Solid enough with some good prospects already. As I said, I'll be relying on them for goals.
Defence isn't good, but it isn't bad either.
Again, a few decent young players but I can see them leaking goals.
Goalkeepers - not impressed.
I'll be praying for some good keepers in my first youth intake.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the squad. It'll be good enough for now anyway, I could never have expected anything better really. I hope for something better by the time we are promoted. If i could sign players I'd be after strikers and a goalkeeper, but it's all part of the challenge! I did sign a couple greyed out players already though, and they're pretty good for their age. They have gone straight into the first team.

I'll keep this as up to date and free flowing as possible with only the English leagues running.I do have work so it will be tough getting updates in through the week. Hope you all enjoy and any feedback is welcome.
