We were extremely frustrated by Atletico today. They took the lead with an early goal from Leo. We managed to get the equaliser but after our goal they became tight at the back and we struggled to get through. Jonathon Tah hit the bar right at the end of the game with a thunderous effort from 40 yards but it wasn't enough!

Toni Kroos wants out at Madrid
View attachment 234292
Toni Kroos has handed in a transfer request at Real Madrid today. The German international, 33, is thought to want a new challenge after becoming frustrated by his lack of starts under new manager Jamie Carragher. Kroos has started just 3 of 7 games since Carragher took over and has indicate that he would like to be starting more considering he is coming to the end of his career. We asked Jamie Carragher during the press conference before Real Madrid's match with Murcia about the subject.

"Me and Toni had a good conversation and I told him where he stands in my plans. He's a fantastic player but I can't guarantee him starts every game and that's what he want's at this point of his career. Toni knows that he's not 20 anymore so want's to make the most of his career, just like I did when I was playing. There are no hard feelings between us, he want's to finish the season off with at least one trophy, but I've told him we're going for three. He's been a terrific servant for the club and he will be until the day he leaves."

Carragher has opted for Columbian Jefferson Marin, 24, over Kroos since his arrival at the Bernebeu. And it's a decision that has gone down well with the fans as Marin has been a key figure in Madrid's recent unbeaten streak.

It was Toni Kroos day today at the Bernebeu. He'd just announced he was leaving at the end of the season and this was his 300th game for the club. I had many of the second team players out today so we could rest our first team. I started 16 year old goalkeeper Alfredo Marcias. He must have been pretty bored as he didn't have one shot against him all game.

We demolished them. It was so nice to see Kroos get 2 goals today. He hit the post of a freekick to deny him a hat-trick which was gutting s it would have been the perfect fit. We've accepted 3 bids of £2 million pounds for him from Man City, Wigan and Dynamo Moscow. It is up to him where he goes, it will be a dent in our team but it will also free up £300k of wages.

Savic also really impressed today. He scored 2 off 2 corners and set a goal up with a long ball over the top too. He didn't let anything passed him and somehow bossed the game from the back. As we have Getafe at home next I'm going to give him another start.

A lovely performance which see's out young lad in goal get his second clean sheet, and this time he had a few shots to deal with. Their keeper on the other hand didn't have much of a game, as he scored an own goal and was the next victim to a Ronaldo rampage. The goal of the game came through Wendell as he thumped in a volley from just inside the box. Just what we need to get our confidence up to the clash at the San Siro in a few days time.

As you can see we are 7 points behind Barcelona with only 7 games left. We're going to need a miracle to win the league but for some reason we still have to play them twice. If we can get a win in the first game the pressure is on them.

Looking at our last 7 matches it does look like a big ask to win the league. 5 away games and one is against the best team in the league. We will look to cause a shock but we could still finish second even if we win all of these games.

After 25 minutes it seemed as if we were going to go on and complete another whitewash. We didn't manage to score anymore goals after but a weaker team were out today and they again kept a clean sheet. Our 16 year old keeper get's his third clean sheet in three games. Which is brilliant for him, I can really see him becoming one of the worlds best goalkeepers.

Marin will be out for a week which is a blow to us, but he would have missed the Milan game anyway because for some reason a lot of star players were not registered for the Champions League, which could dent our chances if we progress.

20 goals in two Semi Final ties was not what everyone was expecting! Liverpool are in some form at the moment and they would be the team I'd wan't to avoid over two legs. We made it to the semi finals after a pretty comfortable game. History was made today too. As Gabriel Gomez (Pirlo) was made the youngest ever Real Madrid player! Marcias also played in goal. I wan't to bring youth through as well as buy some big names with Madrid. I've never been great at it with other clubs.

Gomez is quite possibly the best 15yo I have ever seen.... he could play first team for any midtable club in Europe's top leagues.

Nice to see Liverpool still doing well after you built them to the top!! Would be a great game if you were to meet them in the next round:P

This one will be big. I've managed Liverpool to two Champions League final wins over Madrid. Going to Anfield will be so tough.

Manchester United will play Dortmund in the other semi final. It would be some story if I manage to beat Milan, Liverpool and then Dortmund to life the cup!

He's a real top quality talent isn't he. I just hope he develops. Some players are great young but don't seem to get much better. I might loan him out next season.

Well stay tuned because we are! Yeah it's good to see them still fighting, apart from they've knocked Sunderland off top spot :(

Seeing how mature he looks for his age, not a day too soon! :P

That is a near-perfect draw. Of course facing them in the final would have been even more epic, but maybe next year... ;)

This guy just gets better and better. 6-0 and 5 Ronaldo goals have kept our title hopes alive. We have a greater goal difference to Barca but they don't seem to be dropping points! Wendell scored a beautiful goal which caps off a lovely performance for him as he set up Ronaldo 3 times. Gomez played a full 90 minutes as did Macias.

Hopefully we do play them in the final next year! I've won the competition twice now and I really want to make it three times! Imagine having that beard at 15 too :P

We've done the first job today. A win against Barca. We not got just 4 points behind them and we still have to play them again. Only this time it will be at the Nou Camp which is a much tougher game. Ronaldo scored 2 and then got himself sent off but luckily we managed really well without him. Lozano was miles ahead of anyone on the pitch and bagged 2 goals before the game ended.

A brilliant win today in our last home game of the season in the league. It's amazing that we have 4 games to play and they are all away. We come back here in a few weeks to play my old club Liverpool in the Champions League semi finals. Heung-Min bagged a hat-trick and it's really been deserved. He's been doing really well in training recently. I can't help but feel for him because Ancelotti brought him in and he isn't the bracket of player we really go for at this club. But he keeps going and going and I'm debating giving him another season. He's been a great professional.
