There aren't bugs in the ME. Thing is, it seems that the instructions you put into your tactics doesn't work at all. I have my assistant manager telling me multiples times that we should close down on an opponent who's giving the team much trouble, and even though you get to "Opposition Instructions" and change it multiple times, this simply doesn't work. Also, SI is giving us as an argument that the lack of tackles and the high amount of interceptions and misplaced passes are to make the game more "real". Ok, I get it, but now the game is resumed in who can get the most out of counter-attacks. It makes no sense when you're playing a team full with greyed players with Manchester United and you lose 3-0 to a Bet Premier team even though your team even had a sweeper.

I'm using Raikan's formation downloaded from the website. And I've also made a tactic 4-2-3-1 with a normal setup at the back with the 2 FB on Automatic and 2 CB's on Defend. 1 DM is a supporting role and the other DM is a defensive role playing as an anchor. The 2 wingers are Inside Forwards both on attack while the CAM is an Advanced Playmaker in a supporting role. and the lone striker is a complete forward in an attacking role.

I'm playing in BSN with Vauxhall Motors.

Board expectation was avoid relegation

Anything else I can help with, let me know :)

OK, what mentality are you using? It sounds like you are trying to play dominating football with a side that is really just trying to stay up. Its akin to Wigan playing as they are now, looks pretty, not always the best idea.

My thoughts on roles would be this:

------------------------------------(GK Defend)-------------------------------

(Full back - Auto)---- (Central Defender - Defend)---- (Central Defender - Defend)---- (Wing back- Attack)
(Winger- Attack)---(Cm/ap support)---(dlp defend)---(Winger - Support)
-----------(Advanced forward/poacher Attack---(DLF/ support)
This is from a post i did earlier, but the concept is the same;

winger attack has one job, keep the width and massacre his full back.

This gives the support mid more room to operate, moving into the space left by him and the FC in front.

Other MCs job is to shield and protect the back four, and to use his passing ability as an extra threat we give him a dlp role, lesser gifted players like would have a central mid/ball winning mid role here.

Give other winger a role that doesnt force him to stick to the flank, so he will go both ways. To keep width and create an overlap, we set the DL to wing back attack, so that he attack down to the byline. To protect him, we place our quickest centre defender here.

This is subject to the type of players you have, so you'd adjust accordingly

I'd use the attack standard and defend mentalities, according to the teams you were up against. And there may be games where you will want to sacrifice a forward, and put in a dmc. In that case remove the DLF.

DM on a defend role, the Cm defend role becomes support, and the cm support role becomes attack

Mike upload a tactic which plays dominating attractive football for good sides Liverpool , Tottenham etcetra prove to me it can be done I'll happily send a cash cheque your way.

It's impossible to play with any stability at the moment.

Is this based on 4-4-2?

Yes, sorry miss that out. Not sure i would be trying to put together a 4-2-3-1 just for a relegation threated BSP side. start with a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1

Ok thanks for your help :). I'll report back after a few games to get the players used to the tactic etc.

OK let me know, but bear in mind you are trying to avoid relegation, so you will be on the losing end more often than not anyway. You've actually given yourself quite a hefty challenge.

Shouldn't the signings I make take me to atleast mid table? I've definitely made the squad stronger a little I'm sure of that.

If only it were that simple. They made yet push you to midtable, but they may need time to settle, and your overall quality is a relegation embattled side. Of course if these are your new stars, getting the best out of them will be key, if you want to push on

From the last 7 games:
Corby 1 - 1 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 1 - 4 Bradford PA
Vauxhall 1 - 1 Altrincham
Droylsden 0 - 1 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 0 - 0 Gainsborough
Workington 0 - 2 Vauxhall
Bishop's Stortford 0 - 2 Vauxhall

----

A lot better than I was doing originally. Thanks for the help :).
Would you know of anywhere that would allow me to understand how to create better tactics? or any other FM guides

Glad I could help.

Yes, look out for the threads by thebetterhalf on here, also some of the threads here:

Tactics & Training Discussion

Game has only been out a few days so people will still be getting round to writing articles etc.

Cleon's posts in that tactical section will be especially useful to you.

I did come across what the complaints are about though, with lower teams dominating you. I had to play Stourbridge(?) in the FA Trophy and was expected to dominate however lost 4-0 :S

I'll have a look at this tomorrow if you like?

Key signings for Liverpool save were Kjaer and Callejon. Trying to replicate the Rodgers style but with a little more cutting edge. Pre season and first 6 league games were a complete disaster culminating in a 4-0 thrashing at home to Man City and losing 3-1 to Bolton in the cup. Thought about abandoning the save but persevered and now am on a run of 6 straight wins in all competitions.
Key problem was defence but now the team is becoming more fluid with the tactic things have tightened up a little bit.
Obviously the ME still has MAJOR issues but I'm managing to counter it at the mo. it's not pretty and is extremely irritating but It will get sorted and I'm gonna persevere.

Enough of that, you are just running around various threads posting literally the same misinformation, and seriously pushing your way towards an infraction.

Do not use someone elses tactical help thread for you own rants

Been in horrible form for the last few games
Hinckley 0 - 2 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 0 - 1 Stourbridge
Vauxhall 1 - 2 Solihull Moors
Halifax 2 - 1 Vauxhall
Histon 2 - 1 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 0 - 2 Oxford
Guisley 1 - 1 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 1 - 1 Chester
Vauxhall 1 - 2 Brackley
Vauxhall 2 - 1 Stalybridge
Harrogate1 - 0 Vauxhall
Vauxhall 1 - 3 Macclesfield
Stalybridge 2 - 1 Vauxhall

Where are you conceding from? types of goals you are conceding? Are you getting robbed from a short pass etc (for example that is still bugged and you could be being punished for that)
