****.... thats really unlucky mate. but look on the bright side, you have been really unlucky, and if you play all games like that you will win most of them. so it can only get better form here on out! good luck

thats so **** annoying. i just lost my first game, away to napoli 1-0. corner goal. i created little chances, coz i gave diego costa, david villa and diego injured and my othe rplayers are tired due to a lot of matches, but napoli had 2 CCC and 2 HC. ALL OF THEM.... i repeat..... ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!! from corners, free-kicks and long throws. 80% of the goals i've conceeded in this save are from set-pieces.
 
So, season done - ended 5th, which i feel is very unlucky.. (14-10-10, 50 scored and 34 conceded)..

The results:
Magdeburg, cup (A): Win 2-0 - 5-0 in CCC
Dortmund (H): Loss 0-2 - 7-1 in CCC - Both their goals came from corners
Hertha (A): Draw 1-1 - 3-0 in CCC - Their goal came from corner
Augsburg (A): Win 3-1 - 8-2 in CCC - Their goal came from direct free kick
Bayern (H): Win 3-1 - 5-1 in CCC - Their goal came from indirect free kick

So, the "big" conclusion?! - well, guess there are a couple..
First of all I found that the 'dribble more' PI for SS really messed with their scoring - think 30 rounds in my main 4 SS had 8 goals in TOTAL :O.. Changed the PI and *bam* 7 goals in the next 4 matches.. And due to this fact I think 1. we could've ended much higher, like at least 3rd... 2. that the scoring problems I experienced most of the season, leading to really bad runs of form when my Advanced playmaker (Salihovic) or wings backs didn't score, could've been minimised a great deal with the above mentioned "tweak"..
Second of all I feel I conceded a little too much from corners (and set pieces in general)..
And last the majority of the goals i did concede from open play came when the opposition ran around the outer defenders, got to the back line, and crossed..

My best player was Salihovic (Advanced Playmaker) with 15 goals assists and an avg. rating of 7.40 - can't help feel that Volland would've played just as good given he played 7.64, scored 4 + 2 assists in 4 after I removed the PI..

Regarding the the CWB - in total they had 12 assists and 13 goals, and my first choice played with a rating around 7 over the season..

great feedback mate! thank you! i will remove the "dribble more" seting from my SS and see if it makes that much a difference too. ?lately i've also removed all settings from CWB's appart from shhot less often and cross aim near post and they seem to do better. i agree that you should have done better. think you conceeded more than you should have. i've come to realise that its essential to have good players in defense, especially in midfield, where big strong players with technical ability can really make a difference. the AP is essential. arda turan has been amazing for me too, but my SS's have done really well with the dribble more feature, although i will try without too.
 
in regards to set-pieces, i like the offensive set-pieces, but i'll have a look at the defensive ones. al?though on my previous save i did concede very few goals from corners, most came from f-kicks

i've also found that most of the goals we concede from open play come from crosses on the line after getting past ou wing-back, but i dont know how we can possily counter this. any suggestions??

been using your test tactic with freiburg, who are in europa league. 12 games in i've done all the tweaks you mentioned, and I've had some bad results. I've conceded about 2.5 goals per games, I get about 6-7 yellows per games, often ending in red cards. I've scored plety of goals but that's not why I use this tactic.

any ideas?

Best tactic atm? So many verisions.. and you only use 1 tactic? Doesn't the engine read you after some time?
 
i've been replaying a sequence of 3 games for a while now. i've done it about 10 times, always with different settings, trying to see what works best. last one i tried had a few tweaks to CWB's and i changed all roles of 3 front players to AP.

we had a player sent off on 39 mins and played the remainder of the game with only one BWM. looks very promising. will finish the 3 game sequence and see how it goes
