Laldy Counter and Control Tactics

I don't get how you can't make a tactic yourself dude. I will give you some xmas cheer and make an attacking two striker tactic in the coming days. The formation of these tactics is not a big deal to be honest.

Maybe I should not say can't... let me re-iterate. I have made wonderful tactics, but none that were the way i wanted to play. As the guides you referred to said, it is about playing your way, I could not disagree more with that statement. It is about the way the game wants you to play. Granted there are many variations that will work, there is still limitation. One could not play 3-4-3 with 3 CD's, 1 DM, 3 CM's and 3 strikers, you'd get ripped apart from having zero width. Not saying I wish to play that way, just that it is not an option. My example is a bit ridiculous, no one in their right mind would try and play football that way but there is a way I wish to play.

You said it yourself, the two striker way is dying out and some old guys, like me, enjoyed that style and formation back in our day. I don't care if it is dying out in the real world, I would like to use it in my game and not have to lose every **** game in order to achieve it.

I have made great tactics, but none were 2 strikers and at least 1 DM, because the game just doesn't like that setup for success. I was so happy to have used your old one and have it work it **** near brought a tear to me eye. I can easily make yet another 4-3-3 wide and win, I can easily make another 4-3-3 narrow and win but this is not how I wish to play! I can make a great 4-4-2, but then, anyone can. It lacks that component I want, I don't want flat 4-4-2 even though it has my 2 strikers... though to be honest this is actually more the way I am leaning because at least it has that one element and at the very least is a compromise to my ideals, but who wants to compromise with a game? Playing it your own way should be the goal and I'll be damned if anyone can tell me how to play my solo game.

Be that as it may, merry Chrimbo to all. And thank you Chrissy Dude for your awesome tactic before, even if it did not last long it was a great ride. Playing with 2 strikers and 2 DM's was the most fun I have had since FM12.

if you want 2 strikers and a DM try 3 defender formations

I'll create a two striker tactic in the next day or so. If I can get it done for Monday all the better. Got alot on work wise thereafter.

3 striker tactic.

If you want to go down to 2 strikers then move the DF Support to DMC Anchor Man.

Absolutely disgusting tactic. That's me done with creation for FM16. Feel physically sick uploading this.

It works, play about with YOUR d-line if you are getting caught on the break - Move it back to normal if that is the case.

So you asked for a tactic with more than one striker, there you go.

What? Why?

Three defensive forwards, three ball winning midfielders, a keeper and defence humping balls forward.

Football died the minute that started getting results. I sincerely hope this doesn't work for alot of people and it's a fluke of testing.

Actually the first one I posted is for teams that try to play your offside, this version works better as a base.

Use this instead folks;

451 good tactic,but a bit too soft.
so easy for AI to hold a draw.
More aggressive sytle is better for big team.

Any long term results using this set of tactics from the OP, Chrissy?

Btw. I tried the disgusting tactic but it's just too random to use with a poor team in lower leagues.

Yeah, taken Clyde from League two to the Prem. Just enjoying my own saves now.

The disgusting one does what it's meant to do, close down. As long as you pick players to suit it's fine. The problem with going down the leagues is that you'll not get any ball playing defenders or defensive forwards up to scratch.

This is the future of FM tactics download section; tactical sets. True plug and play tactics are really difficult to achieve, borderline impossible.

That statement might be true, but a **** sad one then imo, it's like this so called game, ends up evolveing to a second job, it's kinda kills the fun part a bit, if a casual player ends up spending +80% of his game time, tinkering with micro adjustments to tactics and single roles etc. I know irl managers do that, but that's their job, not something they do for fun or leisure - I just hope that SI isn't gonna push the game too much more in that direction, It could kill the fun for a lot of people playing this game.

Counter and Control Tactics are working well for me, a little bit of in mathc twaeking here and there sometimes, but my Pompey team are recovering after the patch disaster. Cheers.

@Chrissy

from what u have learnt from the 2 articles you mentioned , how would you set up a counter 4-4-2 ?
