Officially ranking in at number 166 in the FIFA World Rankings at the start of this FIFA Campaign, the ninth largest country in the world is hoping to increase it's stance in the world of Football. They were officially founded in 1991 after a split with the soviet union national football team but have yet to qualify for a world cup or european championship.
Although early days for the newly found country they have found some success such as their world famous 3-1 win over Estonia. Kazakhstan have also managed to get a fantastic manager running the team and have started seeing one or two talents come through the youth side of the nation.

The son of the world famous "Borat" ,who brought trade and tourism to Kazakhstan when he released his self-made film title 10 years ago, is showing fantastic potential to be on the world stage as a centre midfielder. At just 17 years old he continues to develop and now has 3 international caps under his belt as well as being ever present for his club team Astana.
Kairat Akhmetov won't be recognised to the world but inside of Kazakhstan he is known as a professional MMA fighter with a perfect record of 23 wins and 0 losses. He decided to hang up his gloves and lace up his football boots after receiving praise from an open training session he attended with Kazikhstan youth a year ago. Since then he has already played 3 games for the senior national team and was quickly snapped up by club team Astana where he continues to improve his ability as a clinical striker.
