View attachment 301912Leeds United have today released a statement announcing Matt Bullard as the man to replace current make-shift manager Neil Redfearn.
Redfearn has been used as a temporary manager on as many as four occasions over the past 3 years but it appears his time at the club could be coming to an end with the appointment of 'unproven' manager Bullard.
Trigger-happy owner Massimo Cellino has gone on record to say that he is fully aware of his reputation of sacking managers without giving them a chance but this time things are different, he will give Bullard his full backing and after lengthy discussions, he truly believes he will take the club to heights never experienced before.

Despite identifying these players as my 'Key' players, there are plenty others that are of a good standard for the Championship, many of whom are Italian. I will be looking to move a lot of these players on as I want to build up a kitty to revamp the squad with young, hungry talent.

Not a fan of Leeds by any stretch of the imagination but they're somewhat of a sleeping giant, good luck restoring them to past glory!

Oh god not dirty Leeds ;) haha good luck with them mate!

I also want to state for the record that I am far from a Leeds fan myself :D Thanks though guys! Hopefully I can get them back in the Prem and challenging for titles in no time!

Pre-Season

We have had a pretty standard pre-season, all wins and mostly clean sheets so I am very happy at this stage and there has been some really good individual performances.

I have been really busy in the transfer market so far and I think I have done some very, very good business in this window for a team in the Championship..

View attachment 301580
As you can see I have really shown my intent in the transfer market by beating off competition such as Juventus, PSG and Athletico Madrid for players like Humam Tariq and Pavel Savitskiy, although unfortunately I had to loan them both straight back out due to work permits.

I have also signed some young English/British talent in on loan with the intention of making their stay here at Leeds a happy one and hopefully they will want to sign on a regular basis next season.

My transfers out were pretty standard, they were either players that were aging and as such did not fit my philosophy or just gave me the money to reinvest in young talent.

Also, although it is not shown above, I have already agreed a deal to bring Martin Odergaard to Leeds in January for £1.2 Million.

August Fixtures

Now my pre-season is over, this is how my first competitive month in charge looks..

It looks like its gonna be a tough month but if I want to finish in the top 6 come the end of the season then I think realistically I need to be getting at least 10 points from the next 15 available in the League. I will also be expecting a win in the Capital One Cup.

August

Leeds through to next round of Carling Cup
11 points in the League
Antenucci top scorer in league with 6 goals
Young English talent signs for Leeds on permanent deal.

First game in the League, a good win, Adryan with an inspiring performance.

Leeds Vs Mansfield

We had a bit of a scare, our quality managed to see the game out in the end.

Leeds Vs Middlesborough

View attachment 301328
Pleased with this result, dominated the game and Antennuci put in a great performance.

Leeds Vs Brighton

View attachment 301327

Very frustrating and scrappy game, Brightons tactics were to tackle hard and stifle our game.

Watford Vs Leeds

We had this game sown up just before half time and then let it slip, still a good point.

Leeds Vs Bolton

Solid win and a great way to finish of a good month.

League Table

Pretty happy with the month in total, I achieved my targets in league and cup and I finished the month off with another signing of a solid English talent.

Dele Alli signs for Leeds on Permanent deal!!

This transfer has completely emptied my transfer budget but really happy to secure a fantastic english talent.

Leeds Player of the Month

Mirko Antenucci

Really good first month in England for the Italian, I was looking to cash in on him in pre-season but he has proved me wrong and scored 6 goals in 5 games.

Hi guys, due to a couple of things that come up in my home life I haven’t been able to update this story at all. I have managed to squeeze in a bit of FM here and there and I have completed a season. Whilst I realise updating pretty much an entire season in one update is not the most enthralling of reads, I will certainly be jumping straight back into it and writing up the new season as I originally intended and hopefully I can still gain a few followers and regain some peoples interest.. Cheers

Currently in third season with Leeds. Won Playoffs in first season and managed to squeeze into the Europa league spots in the 2nd season. Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook with playing time become awesome mate so keep an eye on these two. Charlie Taylor has been a great LB as well he came in for Warnock during the 2nd season and has made it his spot ever since. Backroom staff need a change though i ousted out nearly all of them at beginning of this season as now a few quality staff want to join. GL mate ill be a reader of this.

Play offs in the first season is a great result, If I can make Europa on second season I will be very happy, I will be updating shortly but my preseason budget is worrying low so I am not sure how I will get european football.
Yeh I have been keeping tabs on both players, neither got match game time in my first season, I am going to look at loaning them out I think. I did bring in a new Assistant Manager, I will also be bringing in new staff for this season.
Cheers for following mate, update coming very soon.

I certainly can, I will include them in my end of season update if your interested.
He wasnt great for me at all, Sharp is definitely someone I will be selling in the summer.
Im not a big fan of leeds but I defo think they are a great team to play with in FM, its a shame you deleted it all, you should give it another go, saying that I havent attempted to keep them in the PL league :D Thanks for following

You play in 4-2-3-1? whats your first team? and the general instructions? i am starting now :)

2014-2015 Season

As I mentioned, I have now completed my first season with Leeds and I will give you a bit of an overview on how the season went and how I got there, with the intention of reverting back to more regular updates next season..

Squad

So I made a few more signings over the season and this is roughly the squad I played this season..

Tactics

In truth I played around with my tactics so much in the season that it was hard to say my 1st choice, I went from a 5-3-2-1 to a 4-3-2-1 and finished off with a very attacking 4-4-2, which is what put us on route for a fantastic unbeaten finish and gave us a chance.
My instructions to the team was quick, possession football, push high up and tackle hard, GK play short passes and I set my Pitch to the largest size possible and tried to play a wide game to stretch my opposition at Home.

Results

View attachment 299152View attachment 299150
These were our results up until Mid March, at this point we were sitting in a wobbly 7th place, we was 18 on points off of Norwich who were running away with the league in first place, at this point I began to worry we wouldn't even finish in the play off places. Now was when I decided to make a big change, straight 4-4-2, attacking and flexible style of play, shooting at every opportunity and stifling every opponents attack by smothering them.. and this was the result..

League Standings

After that fantastic finish to the season we really put our selves in with a shout for the promotion spots..

View attachment 299142

And thats exactly what we did, in fact we very much almost won the league, going agonizingly close. I was very happy with our final standings in the end and I am very much looking forward to seeing how we fare back in the big time..

End of Season player review

For me I cannot pick a Player of the Season so I am going to have to go for the below 3, in no particular order..

Mirko Antenucci

Games Played: 35(8)
Goals: 30
Assists: 9
PoM awards: 7
Average Rating: 7.32
Awards: Championship Player of Month Award x 2
Team of Year Substitute

Humam Tariq

Games Played: 17(2)
Goals: 9
Assists: 5
PoM awards: 3
Average Rating: 7.49
Awards: Championship Player of Month Award x 1
Championship Young Player of Month Award x 1

Jack Grealish

Games Played: 50
Goals: 13
Assists: 21
PoM awards: 4
Average Rating: 7.23
Awards: Championship Young Player of Month Award x 2
Championship Young Player of the Year

Season Review

Championship: 2nd
Capital One Cup: 3rd Round (Knocked out Hull in the 2nd and went out to Man City)
F.A Cup: 4th Round (Lost to Southampton)
Profit: £6.74 Million

All in all I am extremely happy with our campaign, I feel like I am right on track with my goals I originally set, I also feel I developed some great talent over the season with a good mixture of English/British talent making up the foundations of the clubs future successes and I am looking forward to what I can do in the summer to get the squad ready for the Premier League next season..

TBH I played loads of tactics across the season depending on opponent and whether it was Home or Away, these were my most successful tactics/instructions.. its what got me my end of season results as shown in my most recent update. I also really focused on individual instructions for each player as well. Let me know how you get on dude..

Tariq

You lent Tariq and the other one who can't have licence to work in england to what club? and when you know that they can return and play in england? you forgot two excelent players: aranzubia(free transfer) and bernardesci :) but, excelent game!

yo, goodluck to ya. Im interested to see how you fare with the big boys in the Pl. I'm just about to go into my 7th season with leeds. In my first two seasons in the PL it was narrow relegation escapes. But overall Its a pretty good challenge. Cause you never get too much money to spend. So its keeps you in for the long haul.
