Leicester sign 19 year old midfielder:
The Foxes can confirm they have signed young Irish midfielder Matt Martin from Cork City, the 19 year old is believed to have alot of potential according to manager Jake Stratton. The central midfielder has made 46 appearances for Cork City scoring 2 goals.

"Matt is a very young talented player, he's more of a one for the future. Hopefully he will start to feature in the first team within one or two years, he may have to be loaned out in order to get first team football."

It was a good game, Carew endured a poor game his first start for us. We deserved atleast a draw and we kept fighting right at the end and we got our reward.

Leicester or Man City to face Championship opposition:
Leicester or Man City have been drawn against Sheff Wed or Leeds after their 2-2 draw. Man City are favouites to go through with home advantage too.

Michael Fabre set for Olympiakos:
The out of favour Frenchman have agreed personal terms with the Greek side. The transfer will go through on 1st July 2013, the 28 year old has been number two to Kieren Westwood since his arrival.

Leicester swoop for Blackburn keeper:
Leicester have confirmed the signing of John Ruddy from Championship side Blackburn for £1.7M. It is thought that Ruddy will be back up to number one Kieren Westwood, he is alo a replacement for Michael Fabre who is leaving at the end of the season.

Stoke deserved the win and they are a force at home, a horrible mistake by Westwood cost us the game but he will bounce back from it in next game.

Dissapointing to go out this early in the cup but it was against Man City who are obvouisly a top side.

Not the greatest spectacle but its the 3 points that matter, which we managed the defence was solid today. To hold a 1-0 lead for 87 minutes take alot of pressure and defence coped well today.

Really pleased with 3 points how we turned the game around within a few minutes. First half we didnt really perform, but second half we came out fighting and got the two goals that won us the game.

The Foxes broke the deadlock when captain Niki Zimling scored a brilliant 25 yard free kick. Forestieri doubled Leicester's advantage when he was put through on goal by a wonderful pass by Kieta and finished cooly in the bottom corner. Emmanuel Riviere then piled on the misery when he was set away by De Jong.

Manager Jake Stratton was pleased with the win:
"It was a tough game today, and we fully deserved the win. Hull were on good form coming into this game and im really pleased how we performed and the 3 points."

West Brom took a suprise lead when Jonas Osslson rose the highest at the back post to head in a corner. 13 minutes later Leicester drawed level with a carbon copy goal from Brian Smith heading in a corner. Emmanuel Riviere secured the points 7 minutes from time with a cool finish.

Leicester ready for tough run of games:
"Another great performance from the lads today, thought we could of scored more. We've got a real tough set of games coming up, and we're in great form to go into them."

Leicester started the more likely to score and they got their award when Smith laid it off to Niki Zimling from about 40 yards to smash it home off the crossbar. Athletic then had the better of the game as they had a goal disallowed but Leicester held on to a 1-0 win.

Manager Jake Stratton praises Zimling:
"That strike was top top class, he scored a few like that but a bit closer. It really was an amazing strike that by its own deserved a win."

The hosts took the lead from a corner when Michael Carrick headed it across goal and Danny Welbeck done the rest. On form striker Riviere scored just before half with a good finish after a great counter attack, both teams had chances to win the game but failed to make them count.

Stratton pleased with point:
"To come to Old Trafford and get any points at all is very good. The squad are on top form and Champions League place is still possible."

Leicester took the lead when Bas De Jong pulled back for Riviere to tap in, the Athletic players questioned the decison but replays show De Jong was onside. Then Leicester grabbed a second goal when again De Jong squared to Riviere for another tap in, again question offside, this time a tough one to call. Emmanuel Riviere had a chance to seal a his hat-trick after he was brought down but his penalty was saved. Llorente pulled one back for Athletic but it was too late.

Stratton delighted to get through to next round:
"It was a great peformance from the whole team right from Kieren in goal to upfront, a brilliant result and we look foward to next round."

Leicester will play French side Boudeux.

In a thrilling encounter at The Walkers, Fernando Forestieri put Leicester in the lead from an impossible angle after good work by De Jong. Bosingwa delieverd a perfect ball for Yakubu to head in at the 73rd minute, the celebrations were short lived when Niki Zimling scored a free kick from 25 yards. Yakubu must of thought he earned a point when he headed in his second of the game from a corner 5 minutes from time. But again celebrations were cut short when Emmanuel Riviere headed in the winner 2 minutes later from a cross from Fernandez.

Liverpool overcame on form Leicester at Anfield, the first goal from Dirk Kuyt heading in from a corner at the far post. 10 minutes later right back Glen Johnson cut in from the right to score a great strike with his left from edge of area.

Bordeaux earned a silm advantage in the first leg against Leicester, Emmanuel Riviere finished nicely and earned his team what could be a vital away goal early on. The French team dominated preceedings and got an equaliser on 37 minutes Soumare rising the highest to head in from corner. Bordeaux took the lead early in the second half, with another corner this time Mangala heading in, after Westwood flapped at the ball.

Leicester now go on a 3 losing streak after a dismal performance against Arsenal, Jack Wilshere got the ball rolling for Arsenal when his effort hit the post to rebound into the net off Westwood. Cesc Fabregas tapped into an empty net after a good ball from Eduardo, Westwood in no mans land. Alex Song then fired home to seal the game, Leicester pulled one back from Riviere but it was all too late for the Foxes.

Bordeaux ended Leicester's Euro Cup dreams after a 2-1 win at the Walkers Stadium. Leicester had the majorty of the play but failed to make chances count when The Foxes were caught on the counter and finished brilliantly by Chamakh. Leicester again failed to make more chances pay, and they were punished by Gouffran again on the counter this time chipping keeper Westwood. Leicester finally got a goal but it was all to late from Riviere, The Foxes have now lost 4 games in arow.

Leicester secured a vital win against Newcastle but it was not easy. The away side took the lead when Brian Smith fouled Vokes in the box giving Yossi Benayoun a chance to score from the spot which he did. In the second half Barker was brought down by Kadar, Zimling tucking the penalty away and in the final few minutes Bas De Jong ended his goal drought by scoring the winner with a nice finish.

 
What a season so far! You look like your going to be heading to europa league again, and unlucky against Bordeux.

Probably the most important game of the season so far for Leicester knowing a win would put them in touching distance of 6th placed Wolves, it didnt get off to the best of starts when right back Smith tripped Derbyshire to give the home side a penalty, Ebanks-Blake sent Westwood the wrong way. It didnt take long for Leicester to fight back when Bas De Jong used his pace to get away from defenders and slotted the ball past the keeper, the game then seemed to peter out, Emmanuel Riviere set up a nervy finish when he got sent off for a dangerous tackle, but Leicester hung on to grab a decent point.

Leicester grabbed a vital win to keep hopes alive for a Euro Cup place, not a very good spectacle but striker John Carew came off the bench to grab his first goal since joining Leicester to win the game. The 6'2ft striker headed in a cross from Forestieri to grab 3 points.

Burnley could not save their silm hopes of survival but still managed a decent point out of Leicester, they will see it as 2 points dropped after they domimated most of the second half. Leicester were with out leading goalscorer Riviere through suspension, Bas De Jong was ruled out with a thigh injury and Forestieri was given injections to play through pain. Jay Rodriguez headed in Pennant's cross but Leicester replied instantly Spence heading in backpost from a corner, Fryatt and Carew missed a handful of chances to win the game but it ended as a draw.

A classy second half performance was good enough to seal a 3-1 victory over Q.P.R. The Hoops got off to a good start when Surman crossed the ball for Braaten to head in after Westwood missed the catch. Q.P.R continued to make chances but couldnt take any. They were later punished when Fryatt slotted the ball in the net after a good counter attack. Then Barker scored late on with an excellent diving header, Matty Fryatt then made sure of the win netting his brace with a beautifully curled finished on the angle. With Fulham beating Wolves 2-0 Leicester move into 6th and Aston Villa, Leicester next opponents, move into 5th spot.

Aston Villa grabbed a crucial win in a dull encounter at the Walkers Stadium, Gabby Agbonlahor scored the only goal speeding away from defenders and just about finishing on the second attempt. Aston Villa are now pretty much secured 6th place with Wolves behind them on goal difference, Leicester need an unlikely win against Man City to have a chance of finishing 7th.

An eventful final game at the Eastlands, the hosts got off to a good start after Zimling brought down Tevez in the area, Gareth Barry slotting the penalty in the corner. Leicester had a mountian to climb when Keita got sent off for a second bookable offence. Frenchman Toulalan headed in a corner a few minutes before half time, Leicester pulled one back when Riviere headed in a Barker cross. Then Forestieri stunned the home crowd with an equaliser when Man City keeper Plaza took to long on the ball. But Toulalan soon gave City the lead again with an excellent drive from 25 yards, Tevez made sure of the win and the title with a neat finish.

 
The New Season 2013-14

Stratton signs new contract with Foxes:
Manager Jake Stratton extended his contract with Leicester keeping him at the club till 2017. Stratton has brought sucess to Leicester getting them promoted as champions to the Premier League and now they are a force to be reckoned with in the league.

Leicester release players:
Mickael Fabre has already agreed a contract with Olympiakos. Ritchie De Laet, Michael Morrison, Paul Konchesky and Andy King all leave the club on a free. All of them had a big part in the promotion season to the Premier League and they are no longer in Stratton's plans.

Mark Venus joins backroom staff:
Leicester have signed Mark Venus from Celtic, he will be Stratton's assistant manager after Terry Gibson's contract was not renewed. Celtic will be paid 775K compensation.

Neymar and Johnson signs for Leicester:
Leicester City smashed their transfer record after signing Brazilian foward Neymar for a fee of around £19M. A big price tag the young foward will have to live up to, Midfielder Michael Johnson joins on a free from Man City after they decided let the 25 year old go.

Leicester sign duo:
Leicester confimed the signing of goalkeeper Robert Green and right back Cheikh Gueye. Green arrives for £5M from West Ham the 33 year old will replace Westwood in goal after his departure from the club. Gueye arrives from Toulouse FC the Senegal international will have to fight for a place in the starting line up the quick defender cost £2.8M.

Stratton blasts manager O'Neill:
Leicester boss Jake Stratton has accused Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill of upseting Jordan Spence. The centre back is a target for Aston Villa and Leicester have rejected 3 offers for the player, Spence publicly admitted he was unhappy about not being allowed to move clubs, but he was willing to remain at the club.

On the opening day of the Premier League for Leicester ended in a 2-1 win for the home side. Neymar covering himself in glory on his debut for the club. The Brazilian scored his first with a nice finish from just inside the box after a brilliant ball from Barker. Denilson got sent off for a wild lunge on Zimling and on 56 minutes the 10 man side team equalised when Fabregas shot played pinball deflecting off 3 players before it a clearance was sliced on the line and in the net by another debutant Gueye. But Neymar stole the show and was causing all sorts of problems for the Arsenal defence and he got his award after he picked the ball from 40 yards out and dribbled past 2 players before a cool finish in the net.

Leicester grabbed their second win of the season against Fulham, it took 87 minutes until Fulham were finally broken down after Leicester dominated the whole game and got the win they deserved. Subtistute Bas De Jong scored the late goal after Emmanuel Riviere crossed from the right for an easy tap in for the young striker.

A scoreline that doesnt show the dominance of the game a meer 1-0 over League 2 side Stockport, it looked like a goalfest when Neymar scored within the first 5 minutes with a beautiful ghosting past a player before finishing brilliantly in the top corner. Leicester made several changes to the side that beat Fulham, handing first starts to Matt Martin, John Ruddy and Michael Johnson. The main thing for Leicester is they are through to the next round.

Leicester sign Nester from Lille:
The Foxes can confirm the signing of French man Loic Nester from Lille. The centre back will cost Leicester around £13M, which has upset the fans. It seems to be another gamble one that will pay off hopefully for Leicester.

Manchester United scored with the last kick of the game to inflict the first defeat of the season for Leicester. Peter Barker the guilty man when he fouled Rooney in the box. Michael Carrick slotting the penatly past keeper Green, the tables turn and it was Zimling who equalised from the spot after Neymar was brought down. Man Utd couldnt take their chances and it seemed Leicester was going to grab a point, Wayne Rooney scored a screamer from edge of the area to grab the points for United.

September 2013

Leicester bounced back brilliantly from their defeat against Man Utd after claiming all 3 points from Liverpool at Anfield. The first goal came in the 2nd half when Zimling tapped in a rebound from De Jong's effort, another goal came 4 minutes later when Johnson handled the ball in the box giving Zimling his second of the match. Fernando Torres grabbed a goal late on but it wasnt enough to cause the outcome of the game.

Leicester continued their fine form with a win over Blackburn at the Walkers Stadium, new boy Neymar giving the hosts the lead with a well worked goal. Jason Roberts has a goal wrongly disallowed on 55 minutes but justice was done when he headed home from a corner on 58 minutes. But centre back Nestor tapped in from close range after Zimling's free kick was deflected. Loic Nestor has reasured fans he can live up to his price tag with this performance.
