This is another story, which I will alternate in playing alongside my FC Bayern story. I was surprised that as a Newcastle fan, I have never published a story as them. Here we go!

BIG AL RETURNS TO TOON

Alan+Shearer+Takes+Over+Newcastle+United+Manager+cjW0R5GJGWjl.jpg

News on Tyneside tonight is news that many a Newcastle fan has been waiting to hear. Alan Shearer has returned to the club he loves as manager for the second time, after Chris Hughton decided that it was the time to move on. Hughton also commented on the new appointment -

Chris Hughton said:
After a year which has been the highlight of my career, I feel that now is a good a time as any to move on, with my head held high. Alan is the perfect appointment for Newcastle. He is the epitome of Newcastle United. He knows what these fans want, deserve and anticipate. I wish him the very best of luck, and hope we see him turn the club's fortunes around.

16 months ago, Alan Shearer joined Newcastle to try and steer the club from the unthinkable: Newcastle being relegated from the Premier League. Shearer had came at a time when the ship looked almost sunk. This time, Alan has come to the club with totally different circumstances. The club are on the crest of a wonderful wave, which saw them annihilate the Coca-Cola Championship, and show they are never going to back down. Mike Ashley has pledged around 30m into the transfer budget to make sure Newcastle do not fall through the trapdoor at the first time of asking, and to keep building for the future.

Looks good Stu.

Shearer is a legend so you don't need luck.

Good luck.

But Mike Ashley giving the team money for transfers :O that's a bit unrealistic XD

Squad/Formation etc.

Before we get into the story fully, I want to show my current squad, tactics, as well as transfer targets etc.

SQUAD
View attachment 72645

Some real quality, aswell as some of tomorrow's stars. A very threadbare squad, which is problematic.

GK
Steve Harper, 34
Tim Krul, 21

Not the greatest keepers, I will be looking to bring in a replacement, as Harper is too old, and Krul is still not at his best.

DEF
Steven Taylor, 23
Fabricio Coloccini, 27
Mike Williamson, 25
Tamas Kadar, 19
Jose Enrique, 23
Danny Simpson, 22

The back line has, for many seasons, been Newcastle's big weakness. Taylor and Coloccini will most likely be the first choice DC, and Enrique and Simpson will be the first choice on their respective flank. Williamson will give adequate back-up when required, and Kadar will be tutored for this season, and farmed out on loan next. Still needing some backup here.

C MID
Alan Smith, 28
Danny Guthrie, 22
Kevin Nolan, 27
Joey Barton, 26
Haris Vuckic, 16

The midfield is possibly the strongest area of the team, with a good balance of hard tackling enforcers, and also, two talented youngsters. I would still like to bring in a playmaker type of midfielder aswell.

WINGERS
Jonas, 26
Wayne Routledge, 24
Kazenga LuaLua, 18
Peter Lovenkrands, 29

Again very strong position for me. Jonas is the key man on the wings. Lovenkrands is a useful player, who can operate as a winger or striker. The right side is the position I need to strengthen.

STRIKERS
Andy Carroll, 20
Nile Ranger, 18
Leon Best, 22

A decent frontline, but it lacks pace. Carroll is a big player, and Ranger is certainly one for the future. Leon Best has the ability to be a good backup striker.

FORMATIONS

4-4-1-1 Gung Ho
View attachment 72648
Will give me a strong attacking style of play, encouraging central play.

4-5-1 Dominant Gol
View attachment 72649
My own tactic, which is using a wide width, with the anchorman sitting, breaking the opposition play, and sitting back, allowing me to have a 5 man attack.

Mr Hough(by JP Woody)

Narrow formation, which has a strong 3 man front line. Incredible formation made by JP Woody.

TRANSFER TARGETS

GK -
Andrea Consigli(Atalanta, 22)
I have previously signed him, and he turns out incredibly good. If I play my cards right, I can snap him up on a free.

DEF -
Nicolas Otamendi(Velez, 21) - DC
A hugely impressive young defender, will cost around 4.5m

Jorge Andrade(Free, 31) SW, DC
Would be very good backup, and would add some experience to the squad.

Jean-Alain Fanchone(Strasbourg, 20) - D/WB L
Very good young full-back, would cost maybe 1m.

Raul(At. Paranaense, 19) - D/WB R
A star of the future, who would certainly add something to my squad. 2-3m should land him.

MID

Christian Poulsen(Juventus, 29) DMC
Transfer Listed, would be an ideal loan to buy signing.

Ariel Ibagaza(Villarreal, 32) - AMLC
Would be the creative spark I need in CM. Would cost around 4-5m, but would be worth it.

James Rodriguez(Banfield, 18) - AM LC
Would be the CM of the future should I land him.

Fernando Arce(Santos Laguna, 29) - AM RC
Ideal signing for the right wing, would cost between 1.5m and 3m

ST

Yannick Djalo(Sporting, 23) - FC
Transfer listed, would cost 750k max.

Ilan(Free, 28) FC
On a free transfer, would be good value, and would give me a skilful option up front

Alan Shearer today unveiled his first two signings as Newcastle manager. Italian goalkeeper Andrea Consigli, who has penned a 5 year contract, has joined on a free transfer from Serie A drop-outs Atalanta, and 32 year old Argentine attacking midfielder Ariel Ibagaza, who put pen to paper on a three year deal, brought in from Villarreal for a fee of 4m. Consigli is the only Italian at the club, whereas Ibagaza is the third Argentinian at the club, alongside Jonas and Fabricio Coloccini.

Its oxolight, with my own background.

I started a game recently as Newcastle, and using Mr Hough's tactic (with a few very small tweaks) I'm top by 7 points mid-November.

Go for Djalo, he's a good all-rounder, and I don't know if its just me, but Shola Ameobi is an absolute goal machine - 12 in 14 for him. Also, Yannis Tafer is available on loan from Lyon, a good young player who is proper rapid.

Nice one Stu. :)

Great layout and a great club. :D

Best of luck , it looks good , i'll try to follow

Yanick is a beast mate plus I think u should try out Shola Ameobi an absolute quality player

Good Signings there .
Liking the lay-out and i will sure follow this

good luck (you wont need it;))

Well, Ameobi will be used as backup when I need him, as I intend to use Carroll as my primary target man. I like Tafer, was always a loan signing for me, but never seems to get the goals. Djalo is a given, an absolute machine every time I have signed him, whether its been the Championship, Serie A, Ligue 1 or Bundesliga.

Very greatclub :D. Things are looking up for us at the minute, so I thought, aswell as my Munich story, I would try my hand at a Newcastle save. Will be looking at your story closely, to see if I can pick anything up from it :)
