How is your chemistry with all those new players. Some of them do look nice though and should add depth to your team.

There is only five of those signings that are going to feature first team, the rest will either be in Reserves/U18, or loaned out. All are huge prospects, I will add some screens of them and also some from my game in 2017 later. You will see why I bought them.

The squad is near perfect in terms of depth. It will be a case of when I sell a player, one player will come in as a direct replacement for him.

and how did u get shearer as youe manager if your playing lol

Firstly, i deleted Shearer on a custom db for this game, and instead of calling myself my name, changed the details to Alan Shearer. it can be done with any ex-player.

SHEARER BEATS LYON AND BORDEAUX TO ADRIANO
090410_p19_brazil.jpg

Newcastle today confirmed the surprise free transfer of Brazilian striker Adriano, who was released by Flamengo last month. The player, who has been vying for a move back to Europe, has joined the club on a 4 year contract, worth around 75k per week. With Lyon, Bordeaux, St. Etienne and numerous other European clubs chasing his signature, this is considered a real coup for Shearer.

ALAN SHEARER
To sign a player of Adriano's calibre on a free is a fantastic accomplishment. I have no worries about his baggage, as he said that the time back home helped him clear his mind and focus fully on football.

TOON AWAY FORM CONTINUES TO HAUNT SHEARER

STOKE 2 - 0 NEWCASTLE

Newcastle United's away form was yet again the downfall of their attempt to take the points at the Britannia Stadium. They started brightly, having the better of the play in the first half, and could have been two ahead. Stoke came out fighting after the break, forcing Jose Enrique to concede two cynical fouls in as many minutes, which saw the full-back earn a red card. From there on, Toon fell apart, as Lawrence scored from the edge of the box after 60 mins. 20 minutes later, James Beattie sealed the points with a close range drive. Newcastle continued to throw everything forward, with Arce, Djalo and Ilan going close in the dying minutes.

Another fruitless away journey. I am looking to play a shorter, slower game away to see if I can break the opponent down, rather than the current style of going for the jugular.

ill keep an eye on this :P
good luck
sorry if i missed something but have u started the story after a season or edited database to put toon back where thy belong

SHEARER NAMES INCOMING TRANSFERS
rennes-jimmy-briand_diaporama.jpg

Alan Shearer announced today that he has confirmed 5 future transfers. Jimmy Briand will join in January from Rennais, for a reported 1.9m fee. 16-year old centre-back Uros Cosic will join him from CSKA Moscow. Finnish legend Jari Litmanen will join until the end of the season from Lahti on a free transfer in October, whilst Brazilian youngster Dudu will move to St. James Park next July from Cruzeiro on a loan to buy.

ALAN SHEARER
The players we are bringing in will serve us very well. Litmanen is proven as a reliable player, and has expressed interest in joining our staff once he retires. Cosic and Dudu are potential stars of the future, whilst Jimmy is a French international who will add depth and extra qualities to our existing squad.

The moves may see some of the existing squad moved on, with Lovenkrands, Ilan, and even Ibagaza linked with moves from Tyneside.

Awesome signings Stu.

Thanks a lot for doing the update. :D

Thanks :). Managed to get Briand cheaply, as he has an injury ATM, but will be fully recovered before he joins. Litmanen will give me some cover. Dudu and Cosic are both potential wonderkids, so I had to sign them.

Litmanen has the only 20 injury proneness attribute in the game I believe.

Good luck with him. ;)

Yeah well luckily, he won't be playing much, only as a Cup/backup to the backup player.

Dudu and Cosic should turn out quality. Was looking at Cosic earlier actually. :)

Newcastle tonight outclassed and outplayed a very poor Birmingham City side. Danny Guthrie's exceptional performance was one of many highlights for the Toon Army, with the midfielder capping the game with a hat-trick. Guthrie opened the scoring with a volley from 25 yards after 11 minutes. Jonas then scored a glancing header just after the half hour mark. Second Half cam and Newcastle kept going. Guthrie doubled his money with a close range strike, before topping a scintillating performance with a penalty. Ibagaza came from the bench to score a late penalty, looking to quash his critics.

An absolutely brilliant performance, the whole team looked on top notch form. Guthrie obviously the star with a hat-trick from midfield.

CHELSEA DUMP TOON OUT OF CARLING CUP

A Drogba inspired Chelsea side saw off the challenge of Newcastle tonight in the Carling Cup. Drogba opened the scoring with a close-range header after 19 minutes. Joe Cole struk on 35 minutes, which seemed to kill the game off. Ilan hit the bar in the second half, before Djalo had a goal ruled out for offside.

Looked a totally different side to the one that slaughtered Birmingham. Chelsea's counter-attacks caused us problems.
