Nice one StuW. Should be looking out for the Espanyol results regularly now. Cheers again.

this is gonna be an epic season, Barcelona have the best team in the world, but Mourinho is the best manager in the world and has beaten them before, it will be an epic battle

Good idea StuW, I will check back on here after each weekend, so you better not make it a massssive fail. :)

I'm going for Barcelona to win everything this season. There team last season was excellent, and with Villa this season just makes them more of a threat up-front, which is actually pretty scary. They have lost some players, but I still think they'll be too strong for Madrid, and anyone in Europe.

As spaniard too, I will visit regularly this thread then.

My interest is for my loved Zaragoza. For us it will be struggle for escape relegation again, I guess.

For me, I just wanna' see Hércules survive one season in Liga BBVA. They have a good enough team to finish just above the relegation zone. :)

The thing is, some of the players have been accused of match-fixing, so they may be relegated before the start of the season. HERE.

Barca to win the league and Bilbao to sneak into the top 4 :) Good idea Stu.

Real Madrid to win. They only missed out by 3 points last season. If their stars can stay fit, Mourinho can do it. But that's just because I hate Barca :P

Who do you actually support? :)

But I do think Barca will win the title.

Going to be an interesting season.

I have no doubt it will be between Madrid or Barcelona again, who will come out on top though?

Barca look frightening with Villa and still have Ibrahimovic in reserve, but will he be happy with that?

Yaya Toure is gone and there is no sign of Cesc signing after all, players like Bojan,Segio and Pedro will be expected to improve once more.

Real Madrid now have Jose Mourinho, who isn't exactly known for his exciting football, Di Maria is an exciting buy and Riccy Carvalho is an excellent signing.

Guti and Raul are gone. How will he handle Ronaldo? Will Benzema and Kaka improve?

I expect Valenica to be up there, challenging for the top 4 despite the departures of Zigic,Villa and Silva. They still have the likes of Mata,Hernandez and Juaquim.

Sevilla will no doubt be there or there abouts and it will be interesting to see how At. Madrid do, Quique Sánchez Flores salvaged what was a disaster last year and Forlan's world cup shows he is still hungry for goals.

Mallorca are likely to struggle which is a shame, they played great football last year and were unlucky not to get into the champions league, which may have saved them from going into admin.

Will Villareal improve? like At.Madrid they had a terrible first half of last year but slowly improved.

But most importantly for me, I cannot wait to see the mighty Getafe once more, they play such amazing football.

I reckon Barca will get the title, but it is going to be close.

Barca's frontline is perfect, especially with arguably the World's best striker playing for them now. Yaya has gone, but they signed Adriano from Sevilla, who is a similar type of player, and it only took a third of the cash the got from City. Bojan started well, but seems to have slowed down in his progression, but Sergio and Pedro are outstanding.

Real have some exciting options, but it's whether Jose can get Kaka, Benzema, and Ronaldo to play at their best. Carvalho, di Maria, Canales and Khedira are top signings though.

Getafe have lost Soldado to Valencia, but the usually come good, and are entertaining to watch.

Mallorca are in admin Kris. They went into administration and were then expelled from the Europa League because of it and Villarreal have now qualified in their place.

All that hard work last season down the drain as they get no reward.

You must be kidding. Or what are you refering to when you said "similar type of player".
Because I hope you didn't mean about position or role. Touré is a midfielder and Adriano a fullback / wingback.

Might start watching LIGA BBVA a bit more, never really gave it a chance, I've always wanted to watch Getafe for some reason.

Got the names mixed up.....

I reckon Barcelona will win La Liga this season ... but it will be very close

Villa will grab top goalscorer i reckon and Messi will have another top season most likely. And Barca will stay strong and retain the title

As for Madrid.... signing Khedira , Di Maria, Carvalho etc it will be very entertaining to watch them all play together...

Can't wait for El Classico

Real Madrid for the win of course. Barcelona is indeed very good team, Messi - Villa/Ibrahimovic - Pedro looks very scary..

But Madrid has now Mourinho and Carvalho, Khedira, Di Maria. Mourinho's style of play will ensure victories for Madrid over Barca.
