I have clearly said it is not just about diving, more about play acting and hounding the ref for every decision which Madrid didn't do. Even if they did it was negligible. That was how Barca acted.



I haven't made a single post on Madrid, then how can i say they are angels. Hounding and trying to con ref in every possible way is what frustrates me, that Madrid never did. So i didn't have a go at them.




When you have a team who were man down for 5 consecutive games against Barca, then it needs some thinking. I'm glad Jose said what many had in their mind.

And FFS Pepe made No/Faintest of contact with Alves. It was world class acting from Alves that made ref to show red card. Not the tackle. Biscuits made worse tackle but didn't even get yellow.



Did you miss Biscuits calling Marcelo monkey? Which was clearly caught in the video. That was after Biscuits went down holding his face when Marcelo touched his chest.

I have said many time, I hate the midgets coz of their play acting, acting as if they are dead for fiantest of touches, hounding ref for every small decision. No team in the world does this. There will be rare occassions where team does that, but not week in week out like Barca.

Pedro going to ground trying to send Arbeloa off. David Villa going to groung at every chance.
Biscuits, i wont even talk about him and Alves.

Simply not true, if you ever watch Madrid they do it as much in every La Liga game, they dive in every La Liga game.

And for the point you are making out that Madrid are Angels. If you ever watch La Liga you will realise Madrid are just as bad in every game but you don't mention it. Something doesn''t add up.

You are missing completely one side of the story and fail to mention anything Madrid do wrong.

Oh, and Barcelona have every right to complain about Mourinho. After all, he's questioned the integrity of just about everyone, from the referee to one of the worlds biggest charities.

I think Mr. Mourinho is forgetting that the Spanish Banks and Government fund pretty much everything Madrid do and write off most of their debt. If that isn't corrupt then I don't know what is...

Lost some respect for Barcelona because of that game but their both as bad as each other, Both teams went onto that pitch with the intention of gaining a unfair advantage and because Pepe got sent of it was Barca who got the unfair advantage, if it was a Barca player sent of we would be saying the same things about Real Madrid. Its a shame how the last 3 games between these teams have been, After the first game(5-0 Barca) which is prob the greatest performance I have ever seeing I was really looking forward to the 4 El Classicos that were coming up, but at this stage I don't even plan on watching the semi-final 2nd leg.

Madrid are the exactly the same in other La Liga matches most weeks. They hound the ref for every decision and dive and simulate. Both teams are shocking at it is Barce that get all the criticism.

If you don't realise that then you clearly don't watch La Liga regularly and shouldn't comment on the matter.

I watch them regularly. There is no way any team can match Barca. They dont hound ref for all the decisions. They dont have Biscuits, Alves, Pedro, Villa to fall for every touch. Marcelo, Di Maria and to some extent Ronaldo dive, but they dont hound the ref. Did you see the gif that i posted and how all the players started to run in the same direction? It is methodical coaching. It is not instincts. It is well trained move.

Madrid have their share of dives, but Barca's diving, whinging, play acting, hounding is on another level. No wonder for the first time club wanted to complain about play acting.

Barca got the criticism coz they are ****** good at it and using the same shameless tactic they won the tie and also 2 champions leagues(Though 2005-06 was more of a ref blunder than hounding).

And also how does Madrid doing same makes Barca any less disgusting team?

Good ref or not, when players try to con ref for 90 mins, he is bound to make mistakes. Thats what Barca are good at. Its funny as **** that you try to blame ref when the reason for the mistakes are someone else.

I have to admit i was bit OTT on accusing Barca but left with no choice when some think they are defendable.. , I would like to quote a post from Barca fan..

I'm actually pretty torn on the Alves thing - it's established that yes he dived. However on the other hand Pepe is a dirty player with intent. It's like if someone shoots at you and misses, are they innocent. Still, Alves shouldn't have dived.

I'm more embarrassed about Busquets... this peekaboo business is sad. Not only does he dive constantly, but he's ******* bad at it and makes it obvious. Plus he allegedly said a racist comment to Marcelo, if that's true then I don't know what to say.

I said here earlier that I wish people would get booked more for diving. I still stand by that, and if that ever cost us a title I'd be willing to deal with that if it meant that it finally got across to a few of these guys that it's a pathetic way of playing the game. Potentially leg-breaking tackles by few Madrid players is a dirty way of playing, and so is diving.

I'm a cule to the core but I hate how all this has tarnished our image, and I hate more that I feel I can't defend my club.

And with this I would drop this issue and would no longer post on this topic.

Marcelo deserves rest. He looked knackered when tracking back for the 3rd goal. This is what i dont like with Jose.

This was not Madrid's first choice team, but shame that they lost to relegation battling team. Its more like they have given up hopes on La Liga after the El Classico at SB.

I meant Ronaldo, Alonsoesque rest. He should have been left out of the squad. Should have played Arbeloa as he hasn't started many games as Marcelo. And also Marcelo is very attack oriented wing back so moves up and down very often.

Barcelona lost to Real Sociedad after being a goal up. Can win the league next week with a win against Espanyol though.

On a side note, I only saw highlights of the Madrid game, but watched the full Barcelona game, and there was very little of the play acting or the crowding the ref in either game.

Guys ignore Sunil. His hatred for Barca is stronger than what anyone has here for another club, it's borderline crazy. I've seen some haters in my day but he takes the cake. Yeah they've got some divers but they're not any worse than your typical Latin club (and definitely not worse than Real Madrid, his new team), no reason to hate them so passionately. He also said in another thread he hated every Spanish player other than Casillas and one other guy (might have been Alonso), so I don't see why he even posts in the La Liga thread. You can't really take him seriously when he talks about La Liga or Barca because he's so passionately one-sided. If someone posted like he does against the Prem and ManU on this forum they'd definitely get a lot of infractions.

Simply not true. First leg of CL semi-final was very bad, but they're no worse than a lot of othe teams out there. Watch any game in Latin America. If you want to see the worst diving in the world, watch a team from Central America, especially El Salvador. Their diving and gamesmanship is on a whole different level than Barca's.

Watching diving worse than Barcelona's would probably infuriate me, but if I can get to watch an El Salvador league match (Not sure where to find that) then I shall.
