There's a meeting scheduled tomorrow between the LFP and AFE, the clubs have no say and the players are sticking together on it so the schedule is currently the last thing on everyone's minds...
September 11th is the earliest possible date at the minute, but the 2 sides are so far apart it could be September the 18th as the season start date which would cause problems.
Need to understand that the amount of players in Spain that go unpaid (Even at Villareal) is ridiculous, the players have no legal protection under current regulations so essentially they are obliged to work without being paid. Bankruptcy is another big problem, around half the clubs in La Liga have filed for voluntary bankruptcy at some point in the past 10 years because it's an easy way for presidents to immediately half the clubs debt.
This has been coming for a while and it's blowing up in the incompetent LFP's face, the fans/players/clubs in La Liga are all against the LFP and on the AFE's side, I hope tomorrow the LFP bridge the chasm and realise they are simply in the wrong.
The League Of Nations was more useful/competent than the LFP and that is saying something.
