Won't clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid end up playing on extremely cramped schedules if they keep pushing the start date forward?

There's a meeting scheduled tomorrow between the LFP and AFE, the clubs have no say and the players are sticking together on it so the schedule is currently the last thing on everyone's minds...

September 11th is the earliest possible date at the minute, but the 2 sides are so far apart it could be September the 18th as the season start date which would cause problems.

Need to understand that the amount of players in Spain that go unpaid (Even at Villareal) is ridiculous, the players have no legal protection under current regulations so essentially they are obliged to work without being paid. Bankruptcy is another big problem, around half the clubs in La Liga have filed for voluntary bankruptcy at some point in the past 10 years because it's an easy way for presidents to immediately half the clubs debt.

This has been coming for a while and it's blowing up in the incompetent LFP's face, the fans/players/clubs in La Liga are all against the LFP and on the AFE's side, I hope tomorrow the LFP bridge the chasm and realise they are simply in the wrong.

The League Of Nations was more useful/competent than the LFP and that is saying something.

Wondering how Valencia are going to line up with the loss of Mata.

Piatti and Hernandez on the wings, with Jonas and Soldado central?

Good central midfield options, hope Canales gets good game time.

Valencia looking strong.. i dont believe they will miss Mata to much unless theres an injury to piatti or something... Hernandez i rate very very highly... I watch Valencia alot and its a shame that they under such incompetent owners... well good for Real i guess
;)

I think they'll make a move for Ogbonna/Griezmann.

They will sign one more winger and one CB from the Mata money, already tabled a bid for Ogbonna.

Still no resolution to the AFE/LFP dispute.

They held 6 HOURS of talks today with no compromise close.

They say 6 hours, they meant dinner/lunch and 15 mins of talks probably.

No end in sight, season start date could be late September at this rate.

God I love Drogba.

What's the point in trying to stir up hate, Van? No class.

Shame about Malaga's loss to Sevilla, looked good in the 2nd half though and pressured Sevilla more then.

Ronaldo scoring a hat trick first game of the season. I think he might be in for another high scoring season.

I still think Barca will win the league though :D

Barca and Real are looking so strong. They look even stronger than the Manchester teams who are playing some of the best football they've played.

Another very impressive performance by Barca and a La Liga debut goal for the "benchwarmer". Still think Real are quite a bit off them, although Real have improved a lot and will make it harder for Barca this year, long way to go though.

Villareal need more midfielders it's that simple.

Bruno/Cani/Valero are set but they're clearly missing Cazorla going forward, their backline will be fine and it's still gelling after all.

Oh, have anyone seen the Atlético-Osasuna match? Finally we've played well once, even without Falcao. Good display, even though the final score was 0-0. Arda played too. :D

Great team is doing Atletico Madrid despite sell Aguero, Forlan De Gea and good offense: Falcao, Diego Ribas, Arda Turan, Reyes, Pizzi, Salvio, Adrian ..

I do stand corrected but I do recall suggesting the same sentimant in the champions league thread to you :) but anyway i completely agree, Villareal however normaly start slow because of their unique pass and glide system (haha its not quite pass and move;)) i sincerely hope they come good love their football.

dunno if it been mentioned but Del nidos rant was atrocious IMO
