Munster Senior Cup Final V Ringmahon

Well you can see this was a bit of a lop-sided final as we smash 9 past them with Boadu grabbing a hattrick along with braces from Feeney, Galbraith and Maher to secure another Munster Senior Cup.

7th in a row for the club but only my 6th in 6 seasons but with Cork City the only other team in the competition even in our league its not the toughest of Cups to win.

So along with the Champions League qualifiers and the Cup Final we have already mentioned we comfortably won our first 3 league matches of the month before the big final league match of the month against Title Rivals Sligo Rovers.
We were 2-0 down in the blink of an eye against Sligo Rovers but after giving the team the hair-dryer treatment at half time we managed to get a couple of goals back through Boadu who continues his blistering form with 9 goals this month in 7 games.

So along with drawing with us Sligo Rovers drew with Dundalk to drop a few more points which now sees us 3 points clear at the top with Dundalk in 3rd well off the pace a further 9 points behind Sligo.

Maher and Boadu top the goalscoring charts whilst Boadu tops the assist chart with Maher in 3rd place, between them they have 34 league goals in 20 league games so far this season.

Another match were we come out firing with 3 goals in the first 20 minutes to secure our progression to the Champions League Playoffs.

Well i was thinking we should be able to roll Lech over easy enough but there has been a major injury crisis at Limerick with Feeney, Maher, Boadu, Ogilvie and Sheehan all set to miss the games against Lech.

A bore draw at home as our inexperienced strikeforce have plenty of chances but simply cant find the back of the net.

2nd Leg V Lech - Away

They took the lead just before the break before we came back in the second half with goals from wingers Lynch and Galbraith, they scored a late equalizer bit it wasnt enough and we go through to the Champions League Group Stages on away goals.

was gutted Boadu and Maher got injured! 81 goals between them so far this season and i wanted a 100 goal partnership

So along with all of our European matches we have been progressing well in the Cups and won all of our league matches this month with Maher on fine form before he got injured.
Demba Ba did manage to score on his debut in a win in the Senior Challenge Cup

Sligo is draw central at the moment as we finally start to pull away as were now 4 points clear with a game in hand as we get to the final 10 games of the league season.

Even if Maher doesnt play for the rest of the season i reckon he will still win the Golden Boot but im not so sure if Boadu will be able to cling onto second place being our injured also.

So i was looking at signing a new GK and spotted Ukrainian legend Pyatov from Shakhtar on a free transfer, we agreed a contract and everything but his work permit was turned down and we have to wait til Jan 1900 to see if he will join!

League Cup Final V Dundalk

So its yet another Cup Final against Dundalk as we have played them in 5 Finals in the past 3 seasons and won all but one of them, and today it was buisness as usual as we win 3-2 in a nervy game.
We took the lead early on thanks to Boadu before Dundalk hit back with a brace inside of 30 minutes, we had new signing Demba Ba to thank for the equalizer just before half time as we then went on to clinch the winner thanks to winger Lee Lynch.

This is very annoying as Ba was only brought in as a short term replacement for Maher who will probably be back from injury now before Ba is.

The month was going well with 7 wins on the bounce before bogey team Shelbourne came along and spoiled the party by beating us with a lucky late goal.
We managed to beat fierce rivals Dundalk 3 times this month as we won the League Cup along with a couple of league wins against them along with beating Bohemians in the Senior Challenge Cup to set up a Semi Final against Local Rivals Cork City.

Sligo have seriously started to fall away now as were 5 points clear with 2 games in hand and they only have 3 league games left to play this season so another league title is all but secured.

Hes back from injury and after a crazy season of 45 goals in 44 games Maher wins his first Ireland Cap, Hes my first player from the youth intake to go all the way and hopefully with him now there the likes of Delaney and Feeney will get chances too.

As expected we lost to Monaco and Bayern but only by small margins even grabbing a goal against Bayern before they came back strong.
We beat fierce local rivals Cork City twice in a row, one in the league the other to set up yet another final against Dundalk in the Senior Challenge Cup.
It was 3 comfortable wins in a row in the league before we drew against Bohemians who we had only just beat a couple of weeks before.
We ended the league season by thrashing rivals Sligo Rovers which confirmed our 4th Irish League Title In A Row.

So in the end Sligo fell away rapidly by the end as we win the league by a massive 14 point margin after breaking the points total and scoring well over 100 goals.

thanks mate, with the points i get for the hall of fame i think its going to be a 100 odd years to reach the top of the world hall of fame!

We dominated the game with twice as many chances but it ended all equal as Dundalk grabbed a very late equalizer in normal time.
We were both in fine form with the penalties as we score all 12 penalties in a row whilst Dundalk miss their first penalty on the second time round.

You eyes are not deceiving you! My youth intake striker Maher scored 51 goals this season and now has 141 goals since coming in the youth intake 4 seasons ago.
Not only did he get 51 goals he also got 26 assists and 13 man of the match awards.

Well he was a bit amazing, I was all sad thinking he would be leaving at the end of the season but his loan is not up until June so he will be entering into a 3rd season on loan at Limerick.
He got 48 goals and 27 assists which if it hadnt of been for Maher would have been breaking all sorts of records this season.

Bar Sheehan and Demba Ba all of our players are in the early twenties so we should be able to keep the team together and get even better, the aim has got to be for Feeney to reach the all time record for most appearances and Maher to reach the all time top goalscorer as their the closest to those records.

The perfect start to a new season as we win all 6 games in the opening month scoring at least 4 goals in each of them.
Feeney and Boadu were in fine form whilst Maher had me a little worried to start with as he went 5 games without scoring before grabbing a brace in the last game of the month

I remember reading your first Limerick save last year, was amazing what you managed to achieve with them. :)
