Had to drop a few lines about this game, we had an incredible twenty nine shots but managed only four shots on target. Some terrible finishing, really wasteful from the team but we managed to win in the end, going all the way to penalties, big problems for the next game now, against Rivals Everton, there's loads of tired legs in the side. We'll play Norwich at Anfield, in the Quarter Finals.

We're three months in the season and with ten games played in the league, we can get a good look at what kind of season it's going to be. Unsurprisingly it looks like it's going to be another great one for the red side of Liverpool, although Everton are doing well, considering their recent seasons. Elsewhere Cardiff are the surprise package, so far this season.

View attachment 356449
Good solid month from the lads, we started with a hard fought victory over the Saints, continued with some fantastic wins in the league and in Europe. Of course though, the game against Stoke was the big disappointment, despite winning on penalties, we had plenty of chances to win the game, we ended the month with a solid victory over derby rivals, Everton. Next month there's plenty of big games, as we travel to London to face the Gunners, fierce rivals United come to Anfield and we'll conclude our Champions League group stage matches.

Good and bad news for the club, we'll start off with the good news, our youth and training facilities having both been upgraded, our training facilities are now at 5/5 stars, the best possible facilities we can have and right up there with all the other massive clubs. The bad news is that Luis Suarez, our most influential player, picked up an injury on international duty, keeping him out for three weeks but the really bad news is that Jordan Henderson also picked up an injury on international duty and he's out for three months! That could cause us some problems now, both of them are very important players for us.

We top our Champions League group with ease, only losing the one game, away to Porto, surprisingly it was Viktoria Pizen who advance in to the next round and second seeds Atletico finished in last place.

View attachment 355972
Solid month from the boys, there was some impressive and very important wins at the start of the month beating both Arsenal and Man United, unfortunately we followed that up with our first loss of the season. It was a close game in Portugal, against Porto, I did play some youngsters but we didn't deserve to lose 2-0, we could of quite easily of nicked it. We managed to get straight back to winning ways though, just about beating Fulham and then slaughtering Atletico. Next month the games come thick and fast over the busy festive period, we're coming towards the business end of the Capital One Cup and we'll see how we fare in the Club World Championship.

The Liverpool, Man united game hahaha, Pure rivalry! Nice going so far :)

I know right! We actually got fined 25k for getting six yellow cards in one match, that's pocket change to us but I was a bit annoyed to be honest, there's nothing wrong with getting stuck in!

I wanted to wait and see if we got through against Norwich before I talked about any draws, we cruised pasted Norwich and we'll face Fulham in the Semi Finals. I've very happy with that, considering the other semi has the two Manchester clubs in it. Now on to the big draw and Liverpool will face Shakhtar in the last 16 of the Champions League, definitely another good draw for us, very confident we can progress again there.

Were still sitting nicely at the top of the table, despite that disappointing draw to Stoke, we can go nine points clear of our closest challenger Chelsea if we win both of our games in hand. United have dropped off in recent months and Cardiff and Everton are still going strong, this season.

View attachment 355778
Another really solid month from the lads, Cardiff gave us a good game early in the month but we just about came out on top, elsewhere in the Club World Championship we do brilliantly to lift the trophy for only the second time in our history, although we might of scored a few more goals. The one big frustration this month, was of course that away draw in Stoke, they played well but we could and should of won that game. Next month there's no rest for the wicked, they'll be no resting as we play eight games in a busy January, including Fulham in the Capital One Cup, a tough opening game in the FA Cup against Arsenal and some big games in the league against Tottenham and City.

Nice going again, Club world Championship is always nice to add, Should make the final of the cup and top of the league with games in hand, going fantastic!

View attachment 355394The board gave me extra transfer money, a few months back, with the club in such a strong financial position. Remember me saying that we didn't have the money to sign Jeremy Dos Santos, well now we do and it couldn't come at a better time with Lyon manager, Remi Garde, moaning at me every other week, that he's not getting enough game time. We signed him up straight away, 16.5M is a lot of money for a youngster but he's already progressing well in training and it won't be long before he gets some more chances in the first team.

Just a quick note on another young lad, Jordan Rossiter, still only 19 but look at those attributes! His progress in training in the last year has been quite extraordinary, he's been getting plenty of game time this season as well. He's got it all, the only thing he's missing, is a face. if he continues like this, he could be world class, in just a few years time.

There was some fantastic wins over Arsenal in the FA Cup and Tottenham in the league, we white washed Fulham 4-0 on aggregate in the Capital One Cup Semi Finals as well. Next time we're back in the Champions League playing Shakhtar in the Last 16, there's a big derby game against Everton and we'll play Man City in the Capital One Cup Final.

Our fourth trophy of the season and we're only in February. I couldn't believe my eyes when I was given the opportunity to announce myself as the special one, I literally laughed out loud, very loud. I was going to credit my players but I just couldn't resist, Jose Mourinho eat your heart out! Henri James is the special one now. I'm now in the European Hall of Fame, ahead of greats Brian Clough and Walter Smith. I'm coming for you, Jose! The greatest manager of all time, Alex Ferguson, his record is quite something and it will take a long long time to get anywhere near him.

The League is almost wrapped up for another year for Liverpool, we're nine points clear of Chelsea, with two games in hand so I think I'm going to play a few of the youngsters in our remaining league games. Everton are still going strong this season, despite losing to us and Man City are all the way down in eleventh!

View attachment 355222
There was mostly solid results this month particularly against City and Everton but there was the odd poor performance, despite winning the game, we really should of wrapped the game against Norwich up much earlier and there was some really wasteful finishing against Leicester, that saw us only win by one goal.

The big shock was that away defeat against Shakhtar though, I think I under estimated them, I put our match preparation to attacking movement and I expected a slim away win. We did score two away goals though and with just the one goal lead for them, we should finish the job at Anfield. We'll find out next month as we start the month against them, then the games against City keep on coming as well play them twice and there's also big games against Arsenal and Man United.

Jordon Ibe picked up an injury keeping him out for nearly two months, not a major problem, considering he's not a first team player, more of a back up player but it's never good seeing a player get injured, particularly for more than a month, as players attributes decrease very quickly when they're injured.

A good point in Manchester there but I wanted to talk a little about Mascherano, frustratingly he got himself sent off and he'll be banned for our next three games and his seventh game this season. Perhaps surprisingly it's the first time he's been sent off this season but he's already racked up seventeen yellow cards in thirty six games.

Don't get me wrong for the most part he's been really solid but the guy is a complete animal, still there's nothing wrong with getting stuck in, I just wish he didn't pick up so many cards. Elsewhere the draw for the Champions League Quarter Final was made and we play Man City, yes, again. On a side note, Viktoria Pizen, from our group, somehow beat A.C. Milan 3-0 on aggregate, what a shock! they'll face Ajax in the Quarters.

Almost a perfect month for the team, I can't really fault any of the performances. We started the month with fantastic wins over Shakhtar and City, we then went on to grab a good point away in Manchester and I was surprised we fortunately took all three just across Manchester at Old Trafford but I'll take it. Next month we've got a really busy month, with more games against Man City, this time in the Champions League Quarter Final. There's action at Wembley, as we play Wigan in the Semi Finals of the FA Cup and we need to catch up on our league games.

What a shocker! I can't believe we've lost that game, after securing a fantastic away win I was confident of winning again at home by at least a goal or two but our lads just didn't turn up. It was a close match in truth but we let City have far too much of the ball and they were much more clinical in front of goal. I'm so shocked and disappointed, we were in excellent form and that loss came out of nowhere.

Despite winning all but one of our games this month, the one game we lost puts a damper on the month. It was of course that 2-0 defeat to Man City, at Anfield in the Champions League. It's disappointing not to get closer to back to back Champions Leagues but we've won every other trophy and there's always next year. Although the league was wrapped up for another year, there was a brilliant victory over our rivals Chelsea and we're on course for an unbeaten season in the league, can we become the new invincibles?

We'll find out with three fairly easy games left in the Premier League and we've also got the FA Cup Final to look forward to. We will also take a final look at the league table, we'll see how our players performed over the last season and how they ranked up against the leagues best and Europe's finest.

Apologies for the Stoke result at the end of the month, I had to update my laptop last night and I forgot to save the game, I'd already put the finishing touches on the update, ready to post today but of course I had to play the match again. I've then forget to change the screenshot and scoreline. The attached screenshot at the bottom of the page was the game I played last night and the one in the update was the one I played today, that I had to replay, sorry for any confusion.

The Champions League final between Bayern and PSG, came in the final game of the season and it was PSG who took our crown and lifted the biggest club trophy of them all.

A final look at the league table looks incredibly for Liverpool, a massive twenty four points clear of Chelsea and we've gone the whole season unbeaten in the league, this team is now one of the invincible sides. Absolutely brilliant achievement!

View attachment 353170
It was a great way to end the season for us as we scored plenty of goals, didn't concede any and most importantly we lifted our sixth trophy of the season, the FA Cup. Despite winning six trophies, it was the big one we missed out on, crashing out of the Champions League against Man City. Hopefully we can do better next season. Next time we'll take a look at all the end of season awards, player stats and my awards for the players.

Great Story man!

I never knew the Jordan's could become so good, need to work more on them on my saves :p

Looking forward for next update!

Here are some questions:

Conn - TuttoSports

1. Why did you chose to run AP on the AML/AMR positions considering most tactics/managers this year run with IF or wingers, and how does it influence you're offencive play?

2. Regarding tactics, are we going to see some changes considering the opponents tend to "crack" the code?

3. Winning throphies like a madman, how has this influenced you're personal life? Do you get a lot of fans walking up to you on the street and sutch?

Thank you for the time.

Ye the Jordan's have been bossing the midfield even Jordon Ibe has looked decent on the wing.

Well, although the default on my tactic uses advanced play maker, I did say when I posted the tactic that I change the wingers roles to suit them. Firstly an AP with the support duty would be instructed to play creative through balls, requiring excellent decisions, composure, creativity, technique, passing, first touch and teamwork, where as an AP with the attack duty, would not only do this, he would also dribble at the oppositions defence, requiring excellent strength, pace, balance, agility, acceleration, decisions and dribbling. The idea is that I like my wingers to have these attributes but if they don't have the attributes to play "creative through balls", I try to use them as either inside forwards or wingers, depending on their favoured position(s) and their preferred foot. For example a player with a very strong right foot that is naturally a left winger, I'd use as an inside forward, on the left side.

View attachment 348044Firstly the domestic awards were announced, Hazard won the the FWA Footballer of the Year, while surprisingly Suarez won the PFA Player of the Year. It was Jordan Rhodes who ran away with the Golden Boot, Coutinho won his second consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year, while Sterling came in second. Bernd Leno come out as the clear winner of the Golden Glove award with 24 clean sheets and only 16 goals conceded and after a season like that I was always going to win Manager of the Year.

As for the Team of the Year, well there was six Liverpool players there, more than any other club. As for the Champions League, well we dropped out at the Quarter Final stage so there was only Raheem Sterling who made this one.

There's only really two names you can mention for my Player of the Year, Luis Suarez of course is one of them. Yet again he's had another fantastic season, scoring and assisting and proving he's top quality. It has to go to Gino Peruzzi though, his average rating and just general consistency has been absolutely incredible. He's definitely the best right backs I've used.

View attachment 348039
Sinclair, Doria and Rossiter all deserve a mention for my Young Player of the Year award but it has to go to Raheem Sterling, another fantastic season from this young man, he's slowly becoming one of the best in the world, he even beat Luis Suarez to the number one spot in shirt sales.

So you probably guessed with the lack of updates recently, this story has unfortunately come to an end. I'll be completely honest, I just lost interest in the save, we'd managed to win everything and the team was stacked but a big reason was the fact that I literally couldn't sell anyone. I mean I tried to move Daniel Sturridge on, nobody would even take him on a free, a player with a 30M value and a scoring record of 95 goals in 157 starts.

View attachment 348035
The idea was to let Sinclair be my man main up front, I couldn't even sell one of the best players in the world, Luis Suarez. Anyway I've really enjoyed this story and thanks for all your support along the way, I'm pretty bored with FM atm so it's unlikely I'll start a new story before FM15 comes out but look out for a new story from me when FM15 drops, in a couple of months time. I'll leave you with my best eleven, over four years with Liverpool and a couple of nice screenshots from our youngsters, let me know if I missed anyone out.
