View attachment 365074Youssouf Mulumbu didn't have the best of seasons in his first season and probably his last, the problem I have is pretty much all of his games were against smaller teams, on more than one occasion I chose his experience over the youth of George Throne, who actually performed better.

View attachment 365073
View attachment 365072
Just look at the attributes of Lucas Leiva, he should be one of the best central midfielders on the game, quite simply his performances have got to be better. I'm not sure what to do with him, there's worse players in the side who are performing better than him so he gets transfer listed. It will take a big offer for me to sell though, he's 28 now, we'll see what happens.

View attachment 365071
View attachment 365070
Definitely improvements made from Claudio Yacob, after last season I expected a bit more from him and he showed that, given his attributes though, I still expect a little more from him.

View attachment 365067
View attachment 365066
There's definitely more to come from George Throne, despite not playing a huge amount of games, his progress has been really good and hopefully with Mulumbu moving on, he'll get more chances next season.

View attachment 365065
View attachment 365064
Jordan Rossiter really has again made exceptional progress this season, he hardly got any game time but this lad has one **** of a future, hopefully I can find him some more game time, next season.

View attachment 365063
View attachment 365062
Steven Gerrard started the season really well and I even gave him a chance to play more regular football, when given that chance he didn't perform though. It's really frustrating to see such a legend and still a great player in real life, just not turn up, his contract is up and his wages are very high so I most likely won't be renewing his deal.

View attachment 365060
View attachment 365059
While Jordan Henderson's attributes aren't quite as impressive as Lucas Leiva, he's another player who's performances on the pitch have been good but with their outstanding attributes, they could do a lot better. Henderson is still 24 though, I'm willing to give him more time and see what happens.

View attachment 365058
View attachment 365057
Good season from Joe Allen, he's actually matching the likes of Henderson and Lucas, despite not having quite the high level of attributes and game time.

View attachment 365056
View attachment 365055

I'm not sure about this lad, Sheyi Ojo showed some promise in his first season and certainly has potential but he seems to have developed in to an injury prone player. In his first season he missed six weeks through injury but this season he's missed five months! That's more than half the season, his wage isn't that much so I'll give him more time.

View attachment 365054
View attachment 365053
If a big enough offer does come in for Lucas Leiva, Will Hughes will be allowed plenty more game time next season, most of his games have come as a substitute but even then he's looked solid and most impressively of all, his attribute progress has been quite exceptional this season.

View attachment 365052
View attachment 365051
Next time we'll finish off our player by player reviews, followed by some very interesting transfers.

View attachment 364985Another really good season from Raheem Sterling, he demanded a new contract with a month to go of the season and I told him to prove to me on the pitch, that he deserved he new deal, he did that. The trouble is with the class of Suarez and Coutinho it's difficult to hand him lots of game time but with stats like that, maybe I should be quicker to put him in, when one of those two don't perform.

View attachment 364984
View attachment 364983
A great season in the reserve team for Harry Wilson but with such quality players ahead of him in the team, it could be quite some time before we see him anywhere near the first team.

View attachment 364982
View attachment 364981
Solid season from Jordon Ibe, he's got bags of potential but his first team chances have been limited.

View attachment 364980
View attachment 364979
I'm not sure quite sure whether to keep Suso or not, his attributes are very good and I was surprised he didn't contribute a little more, with all that game time I gave him, we'll see what offers come in for him.

View attachment 364978
View attachment 364977
Consistency, that's the only problem I have with Daniel Sturridge, he's unplayable when he turns up but if he doesn't turn up in a big game it can be really frustrating. He's definitely made a slight improvement from last season and he still remains one of the best players in our side.

View attachment 364976
View attachment 364975
Sergi Canos has made some real improvements in his attribute progress this season but much like Harry Wilson, there's so much quality in front of him, it'll be a while before he sees his chance. Although I will say, last season I would of said Wilson is the better prospect but now It'd be a really tough choice.

View attachment 364974
View attachment 364973
What can I say about Luis Suarez that hasn't been said already? He is just world class, by far our best player and another incredible season, what a player!

View attachment 364972
View attachment 364971
Another brilliant player now, Coutinho continues to perform incredibly well and still with the potential to be a world beater, probably second to only Luis Suarez this season, I don't know what he has to do, he just can't seem to find his way in to the Brazil squad.

View attachment 364970
View attachment 364969
Rickie Lambert started the season really well, keeping Sturridge out of the team but then Sturridge started to keep him out of the team, he always seemed to struggle coming off the bench, making an impact, he's definitely not the quickest player but with the right service he should of scored goals.

I turned to Jerome Sinclair midway through the season, who played really well and most importantly looked a lot better coming off the bench. With Sturridge and Sinclair injured, I turned to Rickie late on in the season and
he'll never be forgotten for that fantastic winner against Chelsea, in the FA Cup Final.

View attachment 364968
View attachment 364967
With Lambert's contract running out, Sinclair has showed me this season he's ready for the first team. Under the guidance of Sturridge in our first season and then Lambert in our second, Sinclair has made incredible attribute progress and I just hope he can step up on the big stage.

Next time there's massive transfer news, retirement news and we round up the season with my Player of the season and Young Player of the season awards. As we approach the start of our third season, I couldn't be more excited!

just caught up nice to see Liverpool winning things and thank you bayern for not letting United with the CL 2x in a row :$

View attachment 364926There was handfuls of names who had great seasons but there's two who stand out above the rest, Coutinho has really stepped up this season and showed he's a top quality player but this guy is just on another level, some of things he does on a football pitch are just magnificent, yes you guessed it, of course my Player of the Season, has to be Luis Suarez.

View attachment 364925
View attachment 364924
As for Young Player of the Season, well Sam Byram and Raheem Sterling both deserve a mention, Sterling had another fantastic season and I'm sure he'll go on to do great things and Byram surprised me a little that he started life in Liverpool so well, I'm sure he has a big future. He might of missed out on one award this year but Coutinho wins this one by a mile, the scary thing is the lad is just 22, he could be so good by the time he hits his prime.

View attachment 364923
View attachment 364922
Rickie Lambert and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard both decide to retire with weeks left on their contracts, Rickie enjoyed a decent season for the Reds and Gerrard well he's a living legend in real life and I was disappointed with his performances in this save. Apologies for not having the retired information screenshot of Steven Gerrard I messed it up in the paint so here's his biography instead.

View attachment 364921
View attachment 364920
There was one bit of good news from Steven Gerrard's retirement, his staff attributes actually make him a good coach, I'd already had him employed as a player/coach for almost the whole of last season, he's best coaching area is ball control, he's four out of five stars for that but I currently have a better coach in that role. Hopefully I can employ him as a coach, as long as his wage demands aren't to high and his attributes will improve over the next few years.

View attachment 364919
Moving on to our transfers now and straight away, I'm sure you'll be shocked to see that we've absolutely smashed our previous record transfer, by signing Brazilian centre back Doria. 53M on a centre back, I must be crazy! The truth is I had roughly 120M to spend and 500k wages to play around, with Tiago Ilori leaving, for much less than I would of liked the only position I didn't have depth in was centre back. With Mamadou Sakho, Ryan Shawcross and Lloyd Jones at the club so why not splash out on one of the best central defenders in the game and still only 20!

View attachment 364917
With Gerrard and Lambert retiring and Suso, Mulumbu and Lucas being sold on, you're probably wondering why I said the only position I didn't have depth in was centre back. The thing is there's plenty of money to spend, 75M for transfers and 400k for wages but I've decided to take a huge risk by promoting the youth.

Jordon Ibe will replace Suso, while Will Hughes, George Throne and Jordan Rossiter will replace Lucas, Mulumbu and Gerrard, and Sinclair will replace Lambert. I know right, this could all quite easily go **** up but it's a risk I'm willing to take, I'm confident these players can do the business. Why am I doing this?

Well I hope it'll make the story a bit more interesting, instead of spending 150M on world class players, building a dream wonderkid team and winning everything. I'm very excited to give these lads a chance, we're already doing really well for only our third season and most of these replacements have been nurtured and brought up through the youth system. I wouldn't be giving them a chance if I didn't think they could do it, the important thing is if a player doesn't perform we'll have the money to bring in top class replacements.

Like I said I would of liked some more money for the Ilori but we made up for it with the sale of Suso, 30M for such an unproven player is great business, Mulumbu was poor and Throne will take his place and the other players who left were deadwood. Suso and Lucas might not of been the only big transfer outs this season. City came in with offers of 35M for Sturridge and 28M for Sterling, I declined both while Sterling attracted interest because I wouldn't give in to his wage demands of 100k per week, with three years left on his deal, we'll see what happens there.

In France, Monaco offered 35M for Santon and 45M for Henderson, I was close to selling Henderson but like I said in his player review, he's still just 24, I'll give him some more time. PSG and Real Madrid were looking at Mamadou Sakho both offering just under 40M in installments, much like Santon, Sterling and Sturridge, there was no way I was letting him go for that much.

Wow, well after all that, we only signed the one player but what a player I hope he'll be. I was shocked at how much attention my players were getting. I think we've done quite well to come away with only one unsettled player, Sterling. Absolutely crazy window, bring on the third season! Next time we open our league campaign, in the Community Shield, facing off against rivals United, morale could be sky high as we approach our first league matches, hopefully it will be as we start with some very tough games.

View attachment 364915

View attachment 364500Winning silverware in your first game of the season would be a great way to kick start the season, Doria was still recovering from his long season after Brazil won the Copa America. Sturridge scored an early goal and it all looked to easy, we were dominating United with half an hour ago, although gradually they worked there way back in to the game. It looked like we could hold out for victory but United equalised right at the end of the match and we went on to penalties.

Unfortunately we were poor in the shoot out and United won the trophy in the end, I'm frustrated considering we lead for such a long time and it would of been good for morale to start the season with a trophy but it's not the end of the world. I have bigger trophies on my mind this season.

View attachment 364505
Throne and Sterling come in for Yacob and Suarez who both get dropped after poor displays against United. It was a really close encounter in this one, we deserved the victory but 2-0 flattered us, Sterling come in for Suarez proved to be a wise decision, he won us the game with two superb finishes. Unfortunately Glen Johnson picked up an injury keeping him out for a month.

View attachment 364504
Byram takes the place of Johnson, after some great attribute progress over the summer and Doria makes his debut as Shawcross is dropped. Sturridge continued his good start to the season by scoring and Raheem Sterling put in another man of the match performance, scoring and assisting for both goals, we could of easily scored more goals.

View attachment 364503
The groups for the Champions League were drawn and I was excited to see who we got, we're still third seed, despite a great season, last season. Apart from Romanian side Astra, we probably got the toughest possible draw, footballing giants Real Madrid and PSG were drawn in our group as first and second seeds. We're in for some really tough games, hopefully we can get through but one thing is for sure, one huge side is going out. The games against PSG will also see Lucas and Doria return against their former clubs.

View attachment 364502
Chelsea up next, Shawcross comes in for Doria, who's still getting used to life at Liverpool. I was expecting a really tough game and it was, really tight, either side could of won it. Unfortunately though we lost it, we conceded two penalties after some poor tackles, disappointing to lose but we were playing away and they were favourites.

View attachment 364501
Deadline day was fast upon us, there was no news on transfer out goings but Hector Herrera came in for 26M from FC Porto. It looks like a panic buy because it was completed on deadline day but the truth is we'd had the transfer wrapped up for almost a week, we were just waiting on a work permit.

View attachment 364499
After some nervous performances from Jordan Rossiter coming off the bench, I realised the young lad might look like he's ready for the first team. Trouble is, he's only played a handful of matches for the first team so a solid central midfielder that could come straight in to the side was needed. Herrera fits that description and he was impressive for Mexico at the World Cup in real life, with some energetic displays. I did have my eye on a few other targets but some of the asking prices were absolutely ridiculous. I could of signed some cracking youngsters but I wanted to bring in someone with bags of expeirence so overall I'm happy with my purchase.

View attachment 364497
A real mixed bag of results as we start our third season, solid victory's over Arsenal and Southampton but we lost against our rivals, United and Chelsea, in some huge games, I'm not too disheartened though, it's still very early in the season. Next time we begin our Champions League campaign with probably one of the toughest games we'll play this season, Real Madrid away. We can seek a bit of revenge on United, as we play them at Home in the league, there's a tough away trip to Newcastle and we're drawn with Fulham in the Capital One Cup.

View attachment 364498

View attachment 363726
Suarez takes the place of Sturridge up front and Herrera comes in to make his debut for Joe Allen, I was expecting a close game here, Newcastle finished fourth last season and they're competing with the big boys in the Champions League this season. What a time to score, Suarez converted a penalty just before half time and Newcastle got a man sent off. We won't on to dominate the game but unfortunately couldn't find that all important second goal.

View attachment 363731
Sturridge comes in for Sterling as Real were missing some key players, it was a great chance to pick up some early points in the group. Fantastic performance from the team, we deserved our victory, the goals came from Sturridge and super sub Will Hughes came on to score the winner.

View attachment 363730
The big games just keep on coming this year, we play United, this time at Anfield for the second time already this season, Sterling comes in for Suarez who has started the season really poorly. Another fantastic performance from the team, Coutinho, Sturridge and Henderson doing the business and Hughes come on to put in a good display. It looks like we've started to find our form now, after a poor start to the season.

View attachment 363729
Glen Johnson returns from injury to replace Ryan Bertrand, while Yacob, Allen and Sterling get dropped for Throne, Hughes and Suarez. Solid victory from the team, Fulham are a decent side and we gifted them a few chances but we created and converted more, running out 3-1 winners, Luis Suarez turned up this and found his form this season, scoring twice and assisting for the other goal.

View attachment 363728
Great run of results from the team there, we won all of our games, those first three were all huge wins, particularly the away victory over Real Madrid, I know they had injuries but I would of still taken a point if I offered it, before play. Next time we have some very winnable games in the league and another really tough Champions League match, at home to PSG.

View attachment 363124Quite a bit of rotation in this one, ready for that big game at home to PSG in just a few days time. We were cruising in the first half and took a deserving lead at the break, Berahino scored after some complacent play from the team but once again it was the Sturridge show as he scored his second of the game. We slaughtered West Brom but just couldn't convert our chances, I let the team know how disappointed I was after the game and unfortunately Sturridge picked up a knock late on which will keep him out of the game against PSG.

View attachment 363123
Sinclair comes in for the injured Sturridge, as Sterling played poorly against West Brom and Suarez stays out wide. Lucas and Doria return to face their former clubs, speaking of Doria, his performances have been ok so far. I've been trying to let him play the smaller games while the experienced Shawcross plays in the bigger ones, the pressure on the shoulders of a 50M centre back will be colossus.

If I had it my way, he'd hardly get a game this season but when he wanted 110k per week and key player squad status, it's always going to be difficult not to let him play. He's even been complaining about first team football, starting 3/9 games, I'm sure we'll get there though. Anyway on to the game, we played really well and definitely deserved our victory, Jerome Sinclair took his chance, with a brilliantly taken goal, Suarez had a good game to keep his good form going and Doria looked ok.

View attachment 363122
Some tired legs in the side for this one and that was worrying because Stoke had built a very good side. It looked like a really close game in the first half as we went in 1-1 at the break, that continued in the second half but some brilliant play by Sinclair and Sterling won us the game.

View attachment 363121
Tired players after the international break forces us in to changes but we should still have enough about us to see off Swansea at Anfield. An absolutely terrible performance, we didn't even deserve a point but we some how managed to win the game and if it wasn't for Raheem Sterling we would of lost, he was the only good performer. It's a trait of a good side, playing poorly and still managing to win.

View attachment 363120
Great start to the season in the league, despite losing to Chelsea we've won all of our other games and it's looking good for us to retain to title for a third successive season.

View attachment 363119
Fantastic run of games from the team, we won all of our games, conceding the odd frustrating goal but none the less, the PSG result was very important and those league wins put us at the top of the table. Next time we should really win all of our games, although I suspect those away games, particularly the Stoke game, will offer a tough test for the lads.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I'm still interested in making this story, just been watching the world cup and been really busy in the last few days.

View attachment 363023I let plenty of youngsters get a game here, notable ones being Ryan Fulton, Sam Byram, Geroge Throne and Jerome Sinclair. Good performance from the lads there, Suarez had a shocker but Coutinho put in a great performance but it was Sinclair who stole the show, grabbing a hatrick, he's stepping up on the big stage with complete ease.

View attachment 363028
The big names come back in for this one, Ryan Bertrand will serve his suspension after that red card against Swansea. Incredible performance from the team there, it was game over at half time, leading 3-0 at the break and we continued that by making it four in the second half. Coutinho and Henderson were both very impressive, both scoring and assisting.

View attachment 363027
Surprising to see Stoke rest some key names, we looked to take full advantage as I named a very strong eleven. There was ex Liverpool players everywhere in this one, Assaidi laid in Yesil to open the score and then Wisdom scored an own goal to put us level, Charlie Adam crossed from a free kick and Wisdom climbed high to put Stoke back in front.

It was Suarez who bailed us out, scoring a tap in shortly after, we made some changes and couldn't find the winning goal but in extra time substitute Sinclair scored the winner. We just about got there in the end but I let the team know that I was frustrated. The Quarter final draw was made and we got a really tough game, playing away against Chelsea.

View attachment 363026
View attachment 363025
Big problems now, after playing extra time against Stoke midweek, we're forced to make changes with some very tired legs, hopefully we'll have enough in the squad to see off QPR at Anfield. We did, winning the game comfortably, some solid performances but no real stand out performers.

View attachment 363024
Good solid performances from the team there, bar the obvious Stoke result were we just about got the win, we scored ten and conceded zero in three games, that's great form. Still our winning run goes on and it's looking like another great season. Next time our winning streak and unbeaten when will take a real test, first we play a game we should win, against Astra in the Champions League and then things get a bit tricky, playing some really tough games against Tottenham, Everton and Real Madrid.

View attachment 363020

Playing as LFC in 1st season, winning the league by 1 pt but top 5 separated by 2. Also in CL (using LFC's Database) Facing Fenerbache in last 16.

Fantastic story so far, dominating England in your 2nd season. Hopefully you dominate Europe and win the 6th Champions League for Liverpool. YNWA :)

Fantastic story so far, dominating England in your 2nd season. Hopefully you dominate Europe and win the 6th Champions League for Liverpool. YNWA :)

Thank you! I'm in the third season currently, hopefully we can do better in the Champions League than we did last season. Oh and I'll have a post out later today :)

View attachment 362360The second game against Astra in the Champions League now and again despite playing away we give some youngsters a game. Apart from giving them the odd chance which resulting in an unlucky goal, we dominated them and ran out clear winners in the end, scoring five goals, while Sinclair once again stole the show, Bertrand also had an excellent game.

View attachment 362365
Huge game now, first versus a surprising second Tottenham in the league, they were two points behind and could go top with a win so we had to make sure that didn't happen. Really tight game here, either side could of won it and we can feel fortunate that we did, Sturridge grabbed the all important goal.

View attachment 362364
Another huge game up next, we play our derby rivals Everton at Anfield, a game we really should be winning but derbies are rarely easy games. Brilliant performance from the team, we've shown that we are the dominant force against our Merseyside rivals in the last few games that we've played them, they hardly got a kick and Sterling was our star performer. Coutinho picked up an injury that will keep him out for a game or two, frustratingly though, he'll definitely miss the Real game now.

View attachment 362363
The big games just keep on coming lately, with our twelve points already and Real and PSG both on six, if we managed just a point here we would top the group with one game to go, very impressed how we've made such light work of this group. We grabbed a deserving win, Sturridge scored the only goal and it was a really scrappy one, fantastic win for the team.

View attachment 362362
After last seasons great accomplishment of finishing fourth and getting in to the Champions League, Newcastle have made one **** of a U turn now sitting in the relegation zone of the Premier League, even more surprisingly they managed to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, beating off Marseille and Sporting. Anyway they sacked their manager, Alan Pardew loses his job because of poor league form and he's successor is Michael Laudrup.

View attachment 362361
View attachment 362359
We're still looking really good in the league this season, starting to build a nice seven point cushion, while Fulham and Swansea have been the surprise packages this season and like I said before Newcastle are somehow in the relegation zone, maybe their new manager can get them out of there.

View attachment 362358
Another fantastic run of results from the team, we played some really tough games but managed to come out on top in all four, those last three games were all huge wins. Next time we'll start with a tough away trip to surprise package Fulham, we then play one of our title challengers, when City come to Anfield and we finish with our final game of the Champions League Group Stages, against PSG. That'll be a chance to play some youngsters, since we've already qualified and secured top spot.

View attachment 362357

View attachment 362198With Fulham surprising a lot of teams this season, I was expecting a tough game, especially because they were playing at home. To be fair though, our lads did a really good job and won the game comfortatebly in the end, Sterling was the best player on the pitch. Unfortunately Sakho picked up an injury keeping him out for a month.

View attachment 362197
Big game now, as City come to Anfield, Shawcross comes in to replace the injured Sakho. We slaughtered them and 3-0 really does show how good our team is, Shawcross scored twice, losing his marker twice from corners and volleying home for both of his goals.

View attachment 362196
Our training facilities were finished being upgraded, that means we now have 4.5/5 star training facilities, great for the development of our young players.

View attachment 362195
Sunderland were having a good season by their standards, sitting in eighth place, so this would be a tough match. It proved to be, we managed to get ourselves ahead from some good finishing from Daniel Sturridge. Sunderland played exceptionally well and we didn't play all that great, it looked like we were going to sneak the win though but a mistake from Simon Mignolet let Steven Fletcher in to score in adding time, right at the end of the game.

View attachment 362194
I know we're playing away against a European giant but the game doesn't really matter for us, there wasn't much any of the team who played against Sunderland did to convince me to keep them in so plenty of youngsters are playing here. That's a real frustrating loss to take when you consider we had the slight edge on PSG, they were very lucky and our youngsters really gave them a game but the loss doesn't matter a whole lot. That win for PSG saw them qualify for the next round in second place, surprisingly Real finished third and drop in to the Europa League and of course Astra didn't pick up any points and had a huge -21 goal difference.

View attachment 362193
View attachment 362189
Mixed bag of results from the team there, we started off really well with brilliant wins over Fulham and City, we then played really poorly against Sunderland and didn't deserve to win and went on to get really unlucky against PSG, our youngsters deserved at least a draw and 2-0 is really harsh on them. Next time we play a big game in the Quarter Finals of the Capital One Cup against Chelsea and we have some very easy looking league games but after that complacent performance against Sunderland we'll have to keep the players focused.

View attachment 362192

View attachment 362112Blackpool up now and they've be greeted in to the Premier League with 15 games lost and not a single point picked up, after some poor results recently, we couldn't ask for a better side to play. Solid performance from the lads, we struggled to convert our chances in the first half, going in only one goal up but a good talking to, meant the team went out and slaughtered them in the second half. Sturridge and Henderson were the key men.

View attachment 362107
Chelsea played plenty of fringe players here, despite playing away we looked to take full advantage. Sturridge was again the star performer, scoring twice. I don't know how we didn't put the game to bed sooner to be honest, we dominated Chelsea and there was some golden chances, still good result and fantastic performance from the team.

View attachment 362108
Either way we had a difficult draw in the Semi Finals but we certainly got the toughest possible opponent, rivals Man United. The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League was also drawn, we had a fairly tough draw, with a tie against Dortmund, that's certainly winnable though. Dortmund have been knocked out at the Quarter Final stage in the last two seasons, by Chelsea and Man United, so they're no push overs but Europe is the one place we're yet to do really well in so I'll be looking to change that this season.

View attachment 362109
View attachment 362110
A game we really should be winning now, as we play Aston Villa at Anfield. Really good performance from the team, we battered Villa, who really didn't have anything on us. Suarez was our best player, with two goals, while there was plenty of other good performers on the day. Doria picked up an injury at centre back, luckily Sakho is almost ready to come back after he missed the last month through injury.

View attachment 362111
Sakho isn't quite fit enough to return for this one, so Lloyd Jones comes in for the injured Doria instead, Henderson picked up his fifth domestic yellow card against Villa, so he's suspended for this one. Good solid win out there, Coutinho was clearly our star man, scoring twice, the first was a brilliant freekick. Suarez picked up a little niggling injury, which will keep him out for a game or two.

View attachment 362106
Really good results from the team right there, we won all four of our games, scored twelve and didn't concede a single goal, you can't ask for more than that, we were also very impressive against Chelsea. Next time we have another nice set of fixtures playing three games that we should win and then we finish with a tough game against who else but Man United.

View attachment 362105

View attachment 361842Sakho does come back in for this one but Suarez misses out through injury. We weren't great but we definitely created enough chances to win the game and it took us until added time in the second half to put the game to bed, a brilliant volley from substitute Jordan Rossiter. We also gave Norwich a few chances but I guess we got the win in the end, that's what really matters.

I was having a little browse to try and improve my coaching staff even further and saw that Mark Schwarzer had retired and become quite the goalkeeping coach, I snapped him up and he's got 4.5/5 star rating. Nice to see a quality player continue his career as a coach.

Sterling picked up a knock last game and Suarez isn't quite fit for this one, so Jordon Ibe gets a start for only the second time this season. He played really well, assisting for two goals, the whole team played really well to be honest, slightly disappointed to concede a sloppy goal but we made up for it, with four at the other end.

Plenty of end of the year awards for Liverpool players now, Luis Suarez was named alongside the worlds best in the World Team of the Year, Sterling was named the European Golden Boy, he certainly has a huge future ahead of him!

Plenty of young players on show in this one, I felt like they would have enough about them to see off League 2 York, I also wanted to rest the big guns for the United game. Without scoring to many goals we really did batter them, in all areas of the play, that was the only negative, that we didn't score more but not for the first time this season, Jerome Sinclair put in another excellent performance. We'll play Leicester away in the next round.

Coutinho is injured for this one but luckily Sterling is fit enough to come back in to the side. We started this one really well with an early goal from Sterling but United came back and we couldn't handle them. They scored twice in quick succession and if it wasn't for Simon Mignolet, who displayed some excellent saves and picked up the man of the match, we could be out of this tie by now but as it stands were still in it and taking an away goal back to Anfield is very important.

Still top of the table with Man United behind us, anticipating a slip up, I can't see it coming though and hopefully we can win our third league title. So far at least it looks like we will but there's still a long way to go, elsewhere Fulham are still having themselves a good season while Blackpool look like epic failures at the bottom.

Good wins to start this update off, although we could quite easily of hit double figures against York, of course the United result was frustrating though. To be honest, we were lucky it wasn't more, it has to go down as a poor result though and certainly a poor performance. Next time the big games all come at once, there's the climax of our tie with United and we also face them in the league, whilst also playing big ones against Chelsea and Arsenal.
