A month of massive fixtures with very little rest in sight. This month
was tough on the legs with huge games in such a short space of time.

Massive result against the defending champions. Couldn't ask for more from the lads.

I just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. Plenty of chances; they took one of theirs.
Valdés deserves credit though for keeping out Siqueira's penalty and keeping us in the game.

We stole a point form north London today. A late penalty sharing the spoils. Our defense
played well but up front, our midfield let us down and failed to create many decent chances.

Got the win in the end. Hard fought contest against a Championship side sitting in the play-off spots.

Just like the Athletico Madrid match, we didn't take our chances while Juventus took
one of theirs. This game hurt since it was our first home game of the group stage and
I believe yo have to win these games. we've given ourselves quite a difficult challenge
to get out of this group with two losses form our first two games.

View attachment 215076View attachment 215075
We've made a good start to the league campaign and with United, City and Arsenal
dropping points early on, we can try to capitalize and build a lead at the upper end
of the table early on.

View attachment 215073
Given how difficult this months league fixtures were, I was awarded Manager of the month for
our impressive results against Chelsea and Arsenal.

Our Champions League Group standings dose not look good though. Back to back
wins against Young Boys are necessary to stand a chance of qualification. After that,
must beat Atlético at home by more than 1 goal and we'll top them on head-to-head
record should we finish level on points with them after 6 games.

Looking great, Bertrand and Valdes are absolute steals, can see you going all the way in the Champions League with such an in-depth squad, great read so far!

You were unlucky at the champions league so far but but I think after the two matches against Young Boys you will be on track !

Stoke 1st în BPL ? That's great news for you, you're looking good în BPL . ;)
Good luck against Bad Young Boys ! :P

Curious on what sort of set up your going with. I used a 4 3 2 1 in the first season.

No chance of me goign all the way in teh Champions League. Squad simply isn't good enough. I've started making changes in the right direction but we're still a long way off being ready.

Aye, unlucky but with only 6 games, luck can make or break your seoasn. Hopefully it dosn't cost me come December.

Stoke are a decent team. I don't know why people are surprised when they do well in FM :P

I jump between a 4-4-1-1 and a 4-3-3 (Wide) depending on who's fit and injured.

A nice solid result against Sunderland. I'm happy to see the goals being shared around the team

When Sturridge scored early, I was thinking "There we go, top of the table" and then it all just fell
apart. Stoke upped the tempo and we spent most of the game chasing shadows.

View attachment 214719
Sturridge was deeply disappointing today, but with Benteke injured I've no other options
up front. I feared the worst when he missed his penalty.

I don't even know what happened here. We didn't play badly at all. The first half was an
enigma and I guess it rattled the team. Our ratings were poor but watching the game, we
created chances, got a lot of ball into their half... we just couldn't capitalize.

If you asked me to explain what's been going wrong, I couldn't tell you. The boys just seem
to have hit a rough patch of form. No one is really playing well as of lately.

View attachment 214696
Note: I don't care this is from the 99/00 season, these are ****** hard to find! :P

View attachment 214695
These were 3 massive points given that we hadn't been playing well recently.

Looking good mate, Congrats on Europa League win too! Hopefully form will pick back up and you can get out of the CL group! Some good looking regens you have signed there too!

****,you're suffering away from home,Stoke shutted my mouth. :P
However, the match vs Young Boys wan an important win.

Finally caught up with this! So far it's been great, might actually follow a story on here :)

Cheers mate. Europa League win was huge for me. Crowning glory early into my Fm16 career :)

Aye, no idea what it is but we seemed to have a fair amount of away games when our form plummeted! It's more of a convenient stat that the reality since we lost at home during that run too.

Cheers mate. Delighted to have you here :)

Our Champions League survival rest in our hands this month, but we have
to win all of our remaining games to keep qualification in our own hands.
The league action doesn't let up either as we travel away to Manchester City.

We destroyed them int eh first half. Coutinho getting a hat-trick inside 20 minutes
We got sloppy in the second half and let in two but being 5-0 up, I can forgive them.

View attachment 214453
Although Atlético Madrid beating Juvenyus threw a spanner in the works since now I have to
beat them int he next fixture to stand any chance at all; since I've to play Juventus in Turin
on the final day while Young Boys travel to the Spanish Capital.

View attachment 214449
Too many shots off target. We hit the woodwork 4 times in this game. We just couldn't get
that bit of luck that we needed to grab the win. I've not been impressed with Martin Skrtle
recently at all. I gave him an official warning; which he accepted without comment.

View attachment 977529
View attachment 214446
I was furious with Skrtle. He come on as a substitute and then gave away a penalty...
he got a one weeks fine and his blushes were spared by Sturridge's individual effort
only one minute later. This could have been an away win though. Very disappointed.

Yusss!!!!! A massive 1-0 win that gives us a chance to qualify. Though we failed to get a 2-0
win which would have meant that a draw in Turin would have been enough. Both our results in
this fixture have been 1-0 so if we finish on level points, it will go to goal difference because we
have the same head-to-head difference. Right now, we have the better goal difference, but
realistically, we have to win in Turin.

The final day. Our qualification hopes lie in Italy. If we beat Juventus, we're through.
If we loose or draw... we may not go through, Sounds simple enough. We know what
we have to do...

View attachment 214439
We got destroyed. It was a very close game up to half time, then we fell apart
in the second half. We're out of the Champions League. Though we secured 3rd
place and will be given the opportunity to retain the Europa League title.

Wow! What a way to exit the Champions League! Juve on fire!

Aye, It was the away game against Atlético that really cost me. They got lucky with a Vieto wonder strike and they wen't through because of it in the end.

Oh no,you were so unlucky in UCL... :(
Good luck in EL,however.
And BPL is do tough ! :P

Aye, but sure the Champions League is for the best of the best. No shame in going out int he groups to a group like I had.
I'm still fighting on enough fronts :)

A very nice winning strike there ! Keep it up my friend ! I believe that your team has what it takes to progress in the Europa League!
