15 Minutes in, 1-1, Cole scored after 20 seconds, Steaua equalised in the 12th minute. Good game, we have a young side out, full of players trying to prove themselves making it exciting.

For our second string side that was a fairly good performance, they certainly redeemed themselves at half-time. Match ratings?

Martin Kelly has never put a foot wrong in a senior Liverpool shirt and was very good tonight, not in his natural position although had a very good game and attempted to get forward whenever possible, very impressed.

Joe Cole played well. Some quality dribbling, flicks, just what you expect to see out of him, took his goal very well. He looked creative tonight and I want to see him do well for us and am glad he is over his suspension.

David N'gog is scoring well. As Coach said, 5 Europa league goals already this year, took his couple of chances tonight. Played well tonight and was holding the ball up pretty well.
 
Just got back, freezing tonight.
Thought Konchesky was poor, and looked open. Merieles looked good all over, really. Tackled, passed well, few decent shots also. N'god looking good again, filling out a bit, getting stronger.
But I'm worrying that we haven't had a good first half ALL season, we're starting really slowly.
 
did anyone notice it was a bad first touch and poor closing down that set Lucas' goal up? :p
