Job Security is an important aspect of the salary, but I always negotiate for the highest I can get for purely realism purposes. It is terribly unrealistic to request 20K less a week then what your board offers you.

Same here, and if I don't get what I think I deserve (E.g I am on £40k and another club will only offer me upto £30k, I end up rejecting them. Just adds to the realism (Unless Arsenal offered me a job, I'd work for hardly anything )
