Supermatt1978 is back with a Mattattack

Hello all it's been a while but i have finally made a tactic for FM14 ,It's been hard and very stressful.
I have tweaked and changed and messed around with ever formation going but i've gone back to a 4-4-2.
As many know i like the different and strange formations but i couldn't get any to work so using a classic formation such as the 4-4-2 seemed boring to start with but when my main forward scored 31 goals for me and the team scored 94 goals in the league it got me smiling.
I got promoted first season winning the league using Hartlepool.



Pitch size- biggest
team instructions , match prep - assistant.
Training - set up buy assistant.

Gk - sweeper keeper , gives back 4 a little more support.
FBL/R - nothing special just do there job as needed.
DC's - one is set on cover and other stopper.
W's - both set to attack and get forward and direct play , they are key to get ball into box.
BWM - set on defend and shot less often , he needs to cover the back line and help get ball forward.
B2B - set on support and will help get ball all around pitch.
Deep lying forward - attack , he sits around the space between midfield and attack.
False 9 - support, floats around making trouble for there defence .(i found he scores most goals).

Ah sorry! I was looking to try it tonight, as my team was made for a 442, but I don't have a 4.2 version tactic yet!

Do you use opposition instructions?

Do you make changes to the tactic or use it more or less as a plug and play?

leave all opposition instructions to assistant and don't change anything in match plug and play and have fun .

I tested your tactics on a save, result: 15 games: 12 win / 2nul / 1 defeat
I'll play a game with your tactic, with paris

I have now used the "shoot less often" option on every player but the strikers, so will see how this continues.....

Also, not tactic related, but there are now an obscene amount of injuries(15-20 in pre season)

i dont get that many injuries , yes i had same thing with long shots but wen i changed it to shoot less i never scored lol

thats good mate maybe i will try it out and use it on the update version of tactic

I don't understand how he struggled with PSG it worked with HARTLEPOOL

I have lost once so far in 13 games and have W 9 D 3 L 1 altogether.

That is with a LOT of injuries and the game i lost(2-3 at home to Southampton) all 3 goals conceded were individual unforced defensive errors.

I'm top of the table and literally cruising and i've played against ALL the "Big Clubs" as well.
