Hey.

So, basically me, Luke, Chris and Bcfc will be doing a challenge more than a story really, with Crystal Palace, but with a twist. The twist is that because of recent events in real life we've given Palace a 10 point deduction, £2m in the red in the bank, and an embargo set until January 1st of 2010.

We will be in teams of two, so it will be 2v2. It's me & Luke vs Chris and Bcfc.

To make it even more of a challenge, we will start with 'automatic' experience. This will be a real challenge and buy January you might have to sell up all you're assets if you go into admin. You are allowed to sell anyone, but you won't be able to buy because of the embargo in place.

I cannot load the file onto here for it to be modified for point deductions etc, so if you give me your msn address's then I'll send it over that. Otherwise you'll have to do it yourself, sorry.

Good luck to all of you. Real fixtures are set as ticked so we will have the same games :).

Good luck. One problem. I tried to get Msn and couldn't get it...

I can probably do it myself. :)

Okay, just put the embargo (which is located on the finances part) from the 08/07/2009 to the 01/01/2010 :) And put the finances to -£2m, and points on -10.

Changed the title lol.

Good luck boys, I have been to see Palace a couple of times this season and they were very good. (Against City in the League Cup, Given kept them in it!) What are the expectations for the first season?

I have done it myself. How do you get the finances to be -2M?

Sounds challenging, will be checking back every so often. Good luck all :)

Expectations are mid table mate :)

Go on finances on FMRTE and type in -2000000

Cheers mate.

Looking forward to this. Victor Moses ftw.
Hehe, yeah. Victor Moses is a great player, should do well for us.

Do you want me to send you the file?

I will find more interesting set up's later but for now...

When I took on the task of penniless Palace, I wasn't quite sure what was going through my head. At the time I had more important things to worry about. But I accepted the 'impossible' task anyway. As I arrived in South London I felt a sense of some good and bad times to come. I wasn't quite sure of the situation the club was in. If only I had realised...

I strolled up to the board room with a sense of worry about me. Had I done the right thing? There was no going back now. Not unless I wanted to be the manager with the shortest time at a club. That would be something for the lads at the 'Kings Head' to tease me about. I was greeted with a welcoming handshake but I could feel Neil was worried too. I smiled and sat down and I was greeted by the other members of the board who were slightly underwhelmed by my arrival.

After what seemed like an age, I pulled up at Selhurst Park in my battered Ford Mondeo, which seemed to be the right car for Palace's situation. I met the staff who all seemed eager to welcome me and some of the youngsters raring to go for another training session. A certain 'Nathan Pinney' caught my eye and I made a mental note to keep him here.

After watching the Youth Session, I was welcomed by the players including club captain, Shaun Derry with grim faces. They seemed like a nice bunch of lads and I knew I had to keep them here if we were to stand any chance of that 'Mid Table Finish' I had promised an insistent Warnock.

After a tiring day, I drove back home, my hands gripped tightly on the wheel of the Ford, apprehensive about what was to come...
