awsome story boys could we have a screenie of transfers boys if you have started

There is a transfer embargo, so there will be no transfers

As I was trawling through endless piles of paperwork, (mainly consisting of bids for Moses and Scannell) I came across the team sheet. It was no shining light or God send. Things looked grim. An injury to Derry and a lack of wingers were my main problems. There was nothing I could do. My mind was cast back to the youngsters. They were the lifeline I needed. I had to pick out the players vital for the season in an attempt to keep on the right side of a rather grumpy Warnock:

Darren Ambrose- The former Newcastle star is our only natural winger and sometimes I doubt his capabilities. The situation is so bad now that he is going to be key if we are to stay up.

Victor Moses- Despite being the most inconsistent player, we need him badly. Chelsea are sniffing around which is making my life even more torrid than before.

Sean Scannell- Another inconsistent youngster but we need some goals as I can see a huge lack of them this season.

I would pick out more for you but every player is going to be vital if we have any chance of Championship football next year. Even when the embargo is lifted, who is going to want to choose Palace? I have made a list of possible targets but like everything else, they are lost on the never-ending pile of paperwork. It is going to be a long year...

Crystal Palace FC - Official Club Statement

Following a 5pm meeting on 7th August at the club the following statement was released.

Brendan Guilfoyle, Chris White and John Russell of the P & A Partnership have today been appointed administrators of Crystal Palace Football Club.

The administrators have been appointed to rescue the club and reconstruct its finances and will be urgently seeking buyers.

Brendan Guilfoyle said: "This club has been in the spotlight for some months with creditors pressing for payments and players anxious about their wages.

"Our role now is to find a buyer quickly to provide certainty for the employees, players and fans for the future. We are hoping our appointment will be short-lived as we understand there are many interested buyers."

" Manager Neil Warnock has left the club with immediate effect, and we will be looking for the club to appoint a Manager with a lesser Pay Packet. We also regretfully announce that with the current £2m debt, the Football League has placed a Transfer Embargo on the club, for the rest of this year, starting with immediate effect.

Line up for the season:
Mainly chose this line up because of the good balance between attack and defence. I'll be using a 4-1-2-1 tactic, Kris' Ancelotti tactic. I mainly chose this because my midfielder's suit all of the needed positions, and my full backs strikers suit it aswell.

Key players:

Victor Moses - The youngster could make a real difference this season, especially if he overcomes his inconsistency.

Allasane N'Diaye - Another youngster with bags of potential, he's a real powerhouse in midfield and is dominant against opposition players physically.

Jose Fonte - Possibly one of the best centre backs in the league. Already been linked with a move to Preston, hopefully we can hang onto him.

Julian Speroni - Again, one of the best keepers in the division. Another player we need to try to hang onto.

Darren Ambrose - Just arrived this summer on a free transfer. Very good player for this division and is a great playmaker.

Neill Danns - At the age of 26, he can be a key player. He's coming up to the prime of his career and hopefully can bag some goals and assists.

Won't bother doing any fancy video's for pre-season, just the big games like 1st game of the season, last game of the season, rivals games etc etc.

:)

Good luck. When the big games are on, I will be more detailed. :)

Max and Chris, are you still doing the net game tonight or is it still going on or what's the situation on that. Anyway good luck guys, you're going to need it :)

I will be doing it but not for as long. I'll be there though. :)

Will post an update later, as am going out for tea (A)

Yeah it's on Jamie. I'll be there, starts at 7pm :)

Right then, Palace in debt is a pretty good challenge. Biggest problem I find is keeping players morale up, once it goes down, building it up again is tough. That's what separates a good manager from a great one

Palace Chairman Jordan looks to step aside:
Crystal Palace Chairman Simon Jordan has announced he wants to step aside from the role of Chairman at the troubled Championship side. There has been recent rumours of consortium's preparing bids to buy out the club and secure their future. Palace boss Max King was quoted saying "I'd be delighted for the club if we were taken over by a consortium, it would hopefully secure our future and allow us to push on more and try and get into the Premier League. I haven't worked with Simon Jordan for long but he's a nice lad and only wants the best for the club, it's just sad he's lost his love for football".

The start of the season was finally upon us. On the team coach, I was biting my nails so hard, the caretaker needed a rubbish bin. I had made my mind up about the team on the coach as I couldn't get out of my office due to bids for Moses and Scannell.

I was going for a simple but effective 4-4-2 with a ball winning midfielder to counter some of Plymouth's more attacking players. I had no idea if this would work so I had to go on the advice of my now good friend, Max King. I set up the team as so:

Speroni, Hills, Fonte, Hills, Clyne, Moses, Danns, N'Diaye, Scannell, John, Sears.

The game was a hit with the fans! John, Sears, Scannell and Lee smashed in the goals for us. Plymouth stood no chance. We were fantastic all game though it is still early days for Palace. I was surprised that four strikers scored because, they were quite frankly, dreadful in pre-season. I now head back to my mounds of paperwork with an enormous grin on my face and 3 points wiped off our deficit. Palace 4-2 Plymouth. (H)

Well played Chris :) I'm about to play my first game.
