I reached Christmas Day so will do a special update for that tomorrow/Friday depending on the mood of me English teacher.

Doing my FM-Base World Cup atm.

We need max to tell us how he finished season 1 before we update for season 2. Sorry Ultimate FM Fan and Chris.

But we want to stay around the same points

Just go on without me if you really want to, I don't really care or mind. I have loads of coursework to do which comes before FM and I'm also doing my West Ham story when I can so I don't have much time to update.

Summer Transfer Update!​

I look at my team and weep. What am I doing here? We don't stand a chance and it is plain to see. In the summer I was able to welcome some 'big' names in. Big for Palace but completely tiny and insignificant for any other team in the Premier League. The players I brought in were:

Joe Ledley - £6M - Our biggest signing by a few light years. A good player but yet to prove himself at Premier League level. A huge amount of money for us and an even bigger risk. Fingers crossed but chances are he won't perform.

Nicky Shorey - £1.2M - An attempt to 'shore' up defence. No pun intended! An Aston Villa Reserves player but a good player for the level of football we will be playing at. I have utmost faith in Nicky and expect good things this season.

Rory Delap - £375K - A backup player now but I have a strong feeling he will be key towards the end of the season. He was a panic signing towards the end of the window and I desperately need his long throws!

James Chester - Free - The former Manchester United defender was too good to resist, especially on a free transfer. He has potential and will provide good backup, to what I feel is the strongest part to the side, centre back. Expecting big things from him this year!

Helder Barbosa - £75k - With a backup Left Midfielder needed desperately, and just £140k to spend, Helder was my only choice. He will provide decent backup though I doubt he is up to the standard of the Premier League. A panic signing in all honesty.

Jermaine Pennant, Guido Marilungo, Yannis Tafer, Craig Gardner, Benjani - Loans - Combined Fee - £2.5M - Pennant, Tafer and Marilungo will be chucked straight into the first team. With little money to spend loans were going to be vital and I had to use it to it's full extent. I am relying on these guys to keep me up and I fear they are my only hope.

This season is going to be desperate and I am banking on 20th place. I hope the board are not too expectant. My managerial abilities are now facing the biggest test. The English Premier League. Wish me luck!

 
Aaaahhh I cannot play for abit as I am doing the created DB and Alfonso, will definitely play in half term next week though ;)
