Hmm the debts are disappointing. Same with my Charlton save game. I think it would be best to sell a few players at the end of the season who aren't good enough for a top 4 team. Then next season you will have a better financial situation and transfer kitty to boot. Well done with results Max but I think you are really going to have to spend cash to progress next year. Top 4 teams need a top 4 manager but they also need top 4 players.

) Yeah a lot of team are sniffing around Kaboul, Boateng, Utaka, Ben Haim and also Begovic but I'm not selling them as they've been class. I'll probably sell some of the oldies on high wages, e.g David James, Basinas, Hughes, Ashdown, Roberts, Harewood, Hreidarsson and Finnan, but I'll need to replace them otherwise my team won't be able to handle European football with such a small squad. Looks like I'll be venturing into the free transfer market again ^^)

Yeah I was shocked aswell. They haven't got a much different squad from last season either but their defence was rock solid this season and Keogh and Doyle were class for them.How are Wolves doing so well?! :O Anyway you ave done very well. Very very well. European football should be yours
Hey, well here is the end of season update with the FA Cup final result
West Ham 1-3 Portsmouth (O'Hara, Utaka 2):
Great win and it keeps us in the Europa League places Utaka was once again on form and is buzzing in the deep lying forward position, allowing him to run from deep with the ball and cause problems Good result.
Portsmouth 1-0 Tottenham (Dindane):
Great win and a beautiful volley from the edge of the area from Dindane won it for us
Brilliant result and another win on the board, great to see the defence hold strong against Defoe who had 26 league goals before this game
Man City 0-1 Portsmouth (Diop):
Another fantastic defensive display, we took heavy pressure and only had 43% of possession or something around that figure Also we only had 4 shots in total but a Diop 30 yarder got us a massive win against the league leaders City must of been gutted but nobody can score against us lately ^^)
Portsmouth 1-1 Newcastle (Dindane):
Sadly I'd have to put this down to complacency after the amazing result against City, but we were unlucky not to win it, but so were Newcastle is some respects so it was an even game and a fair result
Everton 1-3 Portsmouth (O'Hara, Yebda 2):
We knew before this game if we didn't win we might lose 4th place to Wolves, but if we won then it was definitely ours so the pressure was on. We responded badly in the first half to that pressure conceding early on and I think if we had been 2-0 down at HT we would of lost this, but we held on until HT and I told the players that the pressure was off, and I also brought on Yebda on for Diop to mix up the midfield a bit and go a little less defensive and it worked fantastic for us ^^) With Yebda playing we head a player in the sort of mould as Cahill, making late runs into the box with a good threat in the air with Yebda, with both of his goals being from headers O'Hara smashed in another goal late on to confirm the victory and confirm that we were the new big four side in town and we are a force to be reckoned with Great performance by O'Hara in what could of been his last ever appearance for Portsmouth, as he will return to Tottenham from his loan spell now as he is inilegible for cup games :'(
Arsenal 1-1 Portsmouth (Won 8-7 on Penalties) (FA Cup):
Absolutely fantastic win to give us our first piece of Silverware under my managerial time here (H) Sadly we had to win on penalties but it was good to see Pompey fan favourite Richard Hughes bang home the winning penalty Fair play to Richard in what has been a frustrating season for him. This will help the finances quite a lot along with our £17M prize money for finishing 4th place ^^)

3rd - Kevin Prince Boateng - He has been class again but some players just stood out more
2nd - Maxwell - An absolute bargain for us on loan and hopefully we can make some sort of deal to either bring him on loan again or make the deal permanent.
1st - Younes Kaboul - Well, our Captain was superb this season, having the highest rating all season and playing 42 matches in his not so natural position of RB. I mainly chose Kaboul as he was played out of his natural position all season and showed why big teams are chasing him ^^)

Worst result of the season:
Ipswich 2-1 Portsmouth 11.09.2010 - Awful result and we just didn't perform well at all :'(
Season Summary:
I'm absolutely delighted with the progress of the team and from being in financial turmoil 2 seasons ago, we're now going to be playing Champions League football in the season of 2011-2012. Brilliant improvement from last season with what some might say what a little weaker upfront without Piquionne, but we performed well as a team and keeping the same starting 11 every game when possible was key. Let's hope for the same next year to keep the finances high and when we're ready, maybe even a title challenge

You did great to finish 7th last year and now 4th! Kris's tactics must be great and im sure youre management contributed more though
Atleast youre in europe now, you were unlucky not to be last year. I think you need a new dm, rb(move Kaboul back to cb?) and strikers cause im not sure Saha and Didane would cut it in the champo :S Im sure you'll be able to do abit of wheeling and deeling with frees and transfer listed players. Btw is Jo still transfer listed? If he is, i deffo reccomend him
