Great to see that this story is back, I enjoyed every minute of reading that HUGE update Good to see it is going well, keep it up mate. Hopefully with a bit of effort my story can become as popular as yours (That's the inspiration)
Bravo Max! *clapping*
I'm glad to see Portsmouth have finally realised their potential. The chairman has certainly been generous with his injections and budgets and you have made clever transfers. However I have been worried to see that the club is sweating money each month. I hope it will not be a regular thing an if it is then a cup win this season might be the best way for you to stabilize and make the club's finances sustainable in the future. Anyway good luck on your success Max; keep it up.
Cheers fatshit ^^) Yeah, hopefully I can win the League Cup, Everton will be tough to beat though. To get to the semi finals of the ECC again would be good, but Barcelona will be extremely tough to beat in my knockout round. I'm fairly confident of winning the league this season tbh, everyone is playing well and we're like a brick wall at the back, especially with Sakho in the team now
Once again cheers, you've helped me with the finances all the way through so thanks
Hey, well here is the latest update. Tell me what you think of the slightly new layout or if I should just go back to my old one, cheers
Barcelona 1-2 Portsmouth (Carceres, Berbatov) (ECC 1st KO Round): A top performance by Portsmouth earned them a massive win in their bid to progress to the next round after a dominant performance against Spanish giants Barcelona. Portsmouth took the lead in the first half with a headed goal from Martin Caceres to put them 1-0 up before the break, then shortly after the interval Dimitar Berbatov shocked Barcelona with a stunning finish to give Portsmouth a 2-0 lead and 2 away goals to give Portsmouth the upper hand in the tie. The turning point was when Mahamadou Sakho was sent off on 64 minutes for dissent, therefore allowe Barcelona to pile on the pressure and grab a late consolation goal. Traore and Berbatov were especially impressive here, but Barcelona's Messi will of been disappointed with his performance.

Berbatov (pictured above) celebrates massive goal as Portsmouth go 2-0 up.
King pleased with performance: Portsmouth boss Max King has told of his delight after his teams performance against Barcelona resulted in a 2-0 victory for Pompey. The 2-1 victory gives Portsmouth a big advantage in the 2nd leg after they scored 2 away goals in Spain, they will bring back Barcelona to Fratton Park which should turn out to be a entertaining game. King was quoted saying "I'm delighted with the result and even more delighted with the performance. We gave 100% in every department tonight and didn't let Barcelona have any space of time on the ball which worked fantastically well. We only have to draw 1-1 at Fratton Park now and we're through, what we don't want to do is draw 2-2 or more, then Barcelona can take it to extra time or win the tie. If we stay tight at the back there's no doubt in my mind we can break through this round into the next one"

P.S - Now as you know this is my 4th season with this story, so it is getting a little repetetive at times, so I am thinking about a new story soon, but I will try to finish this season in the hope of winning the EPL
