Hey, well here is the 2011-2012 season update 
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've had **** loads of exams, but I played with on Saturday and really got into it 
So, I finished the season in 2nd, losing the title on goal difference to Chelsea on the last game of the season, even though we beat Liverpool away 2-1, it wasn't enough to secure the title for us :'(.
In the domestic cup competitions, e.g FA Cup and League Cup, I was knocked out pretty early on in both, leaving us without cup money which was going to cause problems.
Around December/January time we were near administration, £10m in debt and close to going out of the ECC on goal difference (we didn't, but we were dead lucky) when the chairman injected around £34m into the club, saving us from administration I was kind of blown away by this, and has already prepared myself to sell the likes of Kaboul, Boateng, Begovic etc in January, until this happened. We then were able to move in for the likes of Adrian Mutu, Kacar, Ben Arfa and Vuckevic in January for fee's of small amounts We just about qualified for the knockout rounds of the ECC on goal difference and we were on the up, with new signings and cash. Then later on in the season another £18m was injected as we were paying of fee's for transfers that caused some financial problems again, but ECC money helped it anyway, along with the injection
So, back to the ECC, we made it to the semi finals and we knocked out by Chelsea, AGAIN
. They did deserved it though and fair play to them, they went on and won the competition, beating Man City in the final 2-1.
So a really good season, pleased how we competed in all competitions, we were knocked out of the League Cup by a really strong Arsenal side 5-4 at home, and I think we went out of the FA Cup to Chelsea (What a surprise ¬_¬). So a season full of great achievements and once again we improved from the season before and we were about 10 goal difference away from lifting the title, also a season full of hate for Chelsea

& Yeah, once again cheers Kris I've used you're tactics since day 1 and never regretted it since. The opposition though is seriously retarded, 4 seasons with the same tactics and still haven't figured me out. oO)

Hey, well here's the 2012-2013 season update after 26 games
So, let's start off with transfers and expectations I was expecting maybe £20m - £30m for the transfer budget with an expectation of title challenge, well I got one of them two bits right, title challenge for £85m! I was amazed at this, the bank balance to be fair was at £60m, but I thought the board would be careful, but they didn't really invest in anything except expanding the stadium by 5,500 seats for around £5.5m so I guess that had a part in giving me the budget I got
Therefore with the budget I got, I acted quickly in the market, securing deals for Martin Caceres and Dimitar Berbatov, both from Man United. Berbatov only came with a £7m price tag which I was delighted with, and Caceres joined for an agreed loan future fee of around £4m Then the big deals started to happen, with players like Gourcuff joining for £20m from Bordeaux, and Anderson coming for a massive transfer fee of £33m, but it was certainly worth it, he's been top class this season along with Gourcuff. I had a £30m bid for Sulley Muntari rejected which made me move for Anderson, and also United wanted about £50m for Modric which certainly put me off him 
Moves were also made for Sebastian Bassong for £10m from Spurs, Carlos Vela for £5m from Arsenal, Marcell Jansen for HSV for £7.5m and also Thiago Motta for around £3m from Inter Milan. Some great free transfers were made in players such as Pedro Mendes from Rangers, Javier Saviola from Benfica, Scott Brown from Celtic, Yago from Juventus and finally Sylvain Distin was brought back to the club from Everton on a free transfer I was delighted with the transfers and I think we have a top class team now ^^)
In the league we are currently 1st after 26 games, 4 points ahead of 2nd placed Manchester United. We've only conceded 14 goals in 26 games which I'm delighted about, but Jansen has looked a little slack so I've moved Bassong to left back and bought Sakho for CB, Kaboul and him should immense at the back
In cup competitions, we're in the final of the League Cup vs Everton, which will be played soon, hopefully I can add that to my trophy cabinet In the FA Cup we went out vs Spurs at home, which I was pretty gutted about, but I'd rather concentrate on other competitions I haven't already won
In the ECC we qualified from our group pretty easily, but we face Barcelona in the 1st knockout round, so how far we'll go in this I'm not to sure about, hopefully far enough to have a chance of winning it :'(
So yeah, so far delighted with everything, we've got a chance of winning the league again this year, and a chance of winning the League Cup which would be great
Player of the season so far:
Dimitar Berbatov, paid back every penny of his small £7m price tag so far, with 9 goals in the league and 8 assists, he's been a real big player for us so far. If he can produce the goals and bit more often, he'll be a class act for us ^^)
I'm in February at the moment, with 12 games left in the league. I'll start updating regularly from now on again as per usual, so thanks for following as I said before and hope you're enjoying the read
