Results
With this tactic, I hope to give you the very best results. This is not an unbeatable tactic – what I’m saying is, I don’t want people downloading it, coming back after one game and telling me you’ve lost. It needs time to work, but as a standard attacking 4-4-2 formation, it should work pretty sharpish.
Arsenal
After one season, I managed to win the Premier League – 29 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses, 83 scored, 23 conceded – and the FA Cup, and also the Community Shield the next season. See screenshots for proof. Samir Nasri won English Footballer of the Year, Cesc Fabregas won Players’ Player of the Year, Theo Walcott won Players’ Young Player of the Year, and I had six players in the First Team of the Team of the Year (Almunia, Sagna, Vermaelen, Clichy, Fabregas and Nasri) and Arshavin on the bench. Quite an achievement I think.
I had a brilliant run in the Champions League, too, only to come up short in a spirited Semi Final loss to Barcelona. Again, see screenshots.
I noted down the possession, shots, goals for and against in every game (apart from friendlies) and found that I had, on average, 54.3% possession per game, a total of 851 shots which is equivalent to 14.7 shots a game, and 132 goals scored and 47 against – 2.28 scored and 0.81 conceded on average per game, which is not at all bad.

**If you are struggling to play well and need a goal or two, setting the mentality to Overload really does help.
Also thanks to hellroker for testing (ongoing).
Player Requirements
Goalkeeper – standard goalkeeper. Defensive line doesn't push that high so a fast keeper isn’t necessary.
Full-backs – set as wing-backs so need good pace and defending skills. As the wingers push inside behind the strikers your full-backs will act as side-midfielders.
Centre-backs – standard central defenders, so strength is main attribute. Height is handy although not overly-necessary. Jumping and heading also needed.
Left centre midfielder – set as a ball-winning midfielder, the player needs strength and good defensive skills. He looks to break up opposition play and give the ball off to somebody else in the team, much like an anchor man.
Right centre midfielder – box to box man. Needs, more than anything really, natural fitness and stamina if you want a good quality BTB midfielder. Creativity, technique and flair handy if you want goals from midfield, and also long shots, but again not necessary. He looks to play behind the strikers, defend and ‘cover’ the right-sided winger.
Left winger – a winger turned inside forward. Needs the attributes of a standard supporting winger: dribbling, pace, off the ball and crossing. Wide play is set as ‘cut inside’, so this player also needs to be somewhat both footed, needs finishing and composure attributes, and also passing and decisions. Very effective playmaker, but that’s your choice.
Right winger – unlike the left winger, this player is set as an inside forward naturally. Needs to be left footed at least, although not compulsory as a right-footed player will do. Needs finishing and composure more than passing and decisions, but needs all decent stats.
Left attacker – needs to have pace and acceleration as a poacher, also very high finishing and composure attributes as he will be your main goalscorer. First touch also needs to be quite high as your other attacker will look to play the ball down to this man. Off the ball attribute will be handy.
Right attacker – Height, jumping and heading; these are the main things your target man needs. He is the man to look for the goals, not necessarily score them, although you will get a few goals from him with the right attributes. He needs to be very strong too, so strength is a must. Aggression and first touch also come in handy.
Passing is entirely up to you – the results were not too indifferent if I selected More Direct or Shorter passing. I did however use Shorter for the majority of the season. Tackling is also your choice: I left it at default but if you want to concede less fouls and therefore less bookings/sendings off, then stick to More Cautious. If you’re a ‘win at all costs’ type of manager, set it to More Aggressive.
In-game requirements
During the time I tested the tactic, I watched the game, but not the whole 90 minutes. I was able to pick up on each player’s performance without having to go solely by FM’s stats. I recommend you do the same. I had my team’s ratings, motivation and Assistant Manager feedback checked from the match day info box – your assistant will pick up on things you may have missed. I changed the tactic during games to what the assistant told me and I got the positive results from that.

I think that's about it. I tried to be as detailed as possible. I hope you give it a download and enjoy and please, please, please give feedback so I can improve it.
And anything else you need to know, please ask. Cheers!
