Thanks for the feedback hellroker, CorvetteC3 and Auranghzeb, hopefull my version 2 of the tactic will solve the leaky defence. Since making the changes I haven't conceded in around five games. Going to play a bit more now to see if it can continue then pick up on the bad spots.

Cheers mate! Loved to test this brill tactic. As for the defense thing, did you put in the Nike Defence system? I really dont know what it is,but people say it is good so..

Nah, haven't implemented the Nike Defence. Basically, this means the wing backs push up further than the right central defender, who's pushed up a bit from the other centre back, so their 'back line' is in the shape of the Nike swoosh.

Thanks for sharing the tactic just a few questions. What pitch size did you use, and also do you use and opposition instructions? Cheers.

I used Arsenal's current pitch dimensions - it's beyond me off the top of my head - and I always asked Assistant to do opposition instructions, though it's been said it doesn't matter if you use them or not.

EDIT: I've just conceded my first goal in seven games after making the changes.

Thanks thanks.

Sorry should have asked this in my first post, but do you use any team shouts?

Only if I go like 3-0 up I shout Retain Possession and Pass to Feet, and somebody mentioned ^up there^ about shouting Take a Breather, but in normal circumstances I won't shout anything. :)

Hey mate thank you for the tactic, I was a bit sceptical at first when I tried this with my Brøndby save (Danish team).
The team lacks good defenders and with almost no transfers budget its hard to buy the needed reinforcements.

But, the best defence is a good offence.

As you can see for the screen-shots I am dominating, i will post an update when i finish the season. I even managed to advance to the Euro cup group stages, defeating CSKA sofia in the fourth qualification round with a 3-2 win away and 6-0 at home even thou I was expected to loose.

Glad it's starting to work for you. Hopefully, if you don't change much around the tactic and squad, similar results will occur.

This is my first post on fm-base forum, so I wanted say hello o/,

Now, back to topic. I created quite similar tactic in FM 2011 demo and it worked great! Everybody on a pitch were doing what I wanted from them. Play was attractive and effective.
Unfortunately when I wanted to use it in full version of game something wasn't working. I didn't liked FM2010 for new version of tactics that came with creator, too late I figured out I still can play old-school version. I think there is a problem with match engine in 2k10 and 11, that it is one big lottery... But ****, in demo it was working. So maybe it's not so bad as I thought.

Hoped I'll find answer in your tactic. Well. When i checked it, my Liverpool lost with Norwich in Carling Cup 3rd round. I give up.

this tactic has been working great for my everton team.. in 13 matches i have 11 wins 1 draw and 2 loses.. and i beat teams like suprs, chelsea and lpool away so its proven to be a very good tactic so far :) keep up the good work ;)

Quick update, I'm on a 27 Premier League unbeaten run following on from the end of last season. Still trying my best to improve the tactic, but think I may have solved the leaky defensive problem.

Looking good so far, midway through the second season and I'm top by 9 points, but just lost my first game of the season away to Everton who are strong candidates for the title this year along with Liverpool.

good tactic bro.i got the title with steaua bucharest, just using this tactic at half season.I dont tweaked anything, its working very good.

sry for my bad english.

Good lad, not tried the lower leagues this season, how's Gateshead's players' pace and stamina?
good stamina but not so good pace but im bringing in some pacey players :)

---------- Post added at 07:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 PM ----------

just realised the importance of the pacey wingers
drew 0-0 with tamworth
lost 3-0 to cambridge with their winger scoring a cross from the touchline with farman doing a robert green!
then signed 2 pacey wingers and won 3-1 at AFC wimbeldon :)

well in general pace is oer rated in the game, i got burned by Muamba two games ago coz my midfielders couldnt follow him. Mike I´m having problems against teams thatlay a 4-1-4-1 they get too many counters, and its really hard to score. both Bolton and newcastle have used the tactic. and the 4-2-4 isnt working. My def has stepped up with the tweaks you made but also because i got my starters back from injury.

I played Zaglebie Lublin and this tactics is very hard i lose 4-2 / 6-2 and 5-2 i dont know why ...
