The first move was completed in the morning, and Norway's brightest talent Jo Inge Berget signed from Real Madrid for £5million. The attacking midfielder who can also play up front is said to be a major coup for Rosenborg and that they must be heading the right direction to sign a player from Real Madrid. The 19 year old has not made a international appearance at senior level, but has made 16 U21 appearances, scoring in eleven matches. Hours later, Daniel Fredheim Holm signed from Danish team Aab for a record breaking £5.5million. And it was Sellin who was the hero, who bagged the winning goal in the 90th minute.

Interviewer - Mr Strausen, what a great win after such poor form recently, do you think this could kickstart the rest of your season?

Gharthouse - Thanks, and yes i do believe it can kickstart the season. Poor form hasn't helped us, nor has our luck, but we rode it today, and my boy Sellin has again come up with the goods. I think we got what it takes to win the cup, and hopefully the league, so its all to play for.

Skjonsberg 40
Skjelbred 44
Faty 89
Skjonsberg off 63

Rosenborg fans were in full voice, as they wantes a win agaisnt their Romanian opponents. Both teams started off brightly, with Steaua slitly edging as the better team. This changed when Fredheim Holm was brought down in the box, and upstepped Berget to score a penalty. Ten minutes later, Skjonsberg scored from a powerful header, which put the hometeam in command. Steaua came back attacking but were caught out by Skjelbred as he broke on the counter. 3-0 at half time and RBK were flying. The second half started the same as the first, and the fans were chanting their managers name. Midway through the second half Skjonsberg was sent off for a second bookable offence. Obolo pulled one back for Steaua but it was too little too late. The game was finished off in spectacular fashion as Faty played a one-two with Berget and fired home a 35 yard shot. The fans were estactic.

Interviewer - A great win. did you expect this?

Gharthouse - Strausen - I knew we would win today, but by 4 goals to 1, I didn't think so. A great performance from the boys, and a great goal from Faty at the end.

Interviewer - You have been linked with the vacant job at Bayer Levekusen, can confirm this and are you going to leave?

Gharthouse - Strausen - Where do you hear these reports? Bayer Leverkusen still have a manager so what are you talking about? And no! Rosenborg is my home.

RBK In away win

Rosenborg travel away to Ham Kam today. RBK are in great form, whereas there is a great contrast as Ham Kam are currently bottom.
Ham Kam 1 - 4 Rosenborg
Att. 4061
Karekezi 70 Fredheim Holm 2, 18, 71
Berget 40

Rosenborg got off to a great start, with Fredheim Holm scoring from a tight angle. RBK continued with their great form and Fredheim Holm got his second. The home fans watched on with grim faces. Things got no better for Ham Kam as Berget got in on the act by scoring a free kick. The second half did not bring much change but Ham Kam did manage to score through Karekezi, quickly after Fredheim Holm completed his hattrick by scoring a great goal. This lifted Rosenborg up to third with four games in hand.

RBK In Titan Clash

Rosenborg travelled to Viking in a titan clash today. Viking are top of the table, but Rosenborg are biting at their ankles with four games in hand. If Viking win today, then they surely will be favouraites to go on and win the league, but if RBK were to win, then its game on.

Viking 1 - 2 Rosenborg
Att.15522

Danieslen 69 Kucka 5
Majcen 64

A massive game today in the league, with each team wanting to win the league. The corwd was loud, and the atmosphere was tense. It was Kucka, Rosenborgs hero of the moment who stepped up to the challenge, breaking through the defence and scoring a great goal. His first for the club. The away fans went mental. The first half was played at a fast tempo but niether side managed to test each goalkeeper. The second half was the same, but it was young striker Majcen who got the all important goal. He slipped the ball past the centre bakc and fired home. Surely the game was won! It was a tense last wenty minutes as Viking pulled one back, but it was not enough. Rosenborg had won the all important game and now they were expected to catch and overtake Viking.

RBK Flying high

Rosenborg were again on the road and today they faced struggling Haugesund. With RBK beating Viking, they were easily expected to beat the home team.

Haugesund 1 - 4 Rosenborg
Att. 4054

Sorum 15 Majcen 8
Fredheim Holm (pen) 31
Johnsen 50
Gauseth 71

Rosenborg got the ball rolling nice and early with Majcen scoring from a set peice move. The young Slovenian striker has impressed of late and has been attracting attention from Rangers and Celtic. Sorum ruined the party though as he scored a belter from 30 yards. It didn't take long for RBK to restore the lead as Majcen was brought down in the area and Fredheim Holm slotted the ball home. The first half fizzled out as did the start of the second half. Johnsen got RBK's third through a header, and late on Gauseth got his first for the club and Rosenborg's fourth to complete the rout.

Rosenborg currently lie in second place 2 points behind Viking with 4 games in hand.

Nigeria were easily expected to win this match today, but Mozambique didn't turn up to be pushed over. They started strongly and matched Nigeria. The fans were getting restless, but it was captain Yobo who restored faith as he headed in from a corner. The second half was the same as the first, and Yakubu made the game safe as he slotted home the ball from 15 yards. Fumo gave hope to Mozambique but the one goal is all they could manage.

RBK Happy for Prica return

Rosenborg fans could relax today as they were to play their first home league game in over a month. Their opponents were Bode/Glimit who narrowly beat RBK earlier in the season. With Rosenborg in 2nd place, and Bode/Glimit it was sure to be a deciding match.

Rosenborg 2 - 1 Bode/Glimit
Att.21343
Prica 62Stensland 42
Sellin 87

RBK kicked off the livelier team, but failed to make any early chances count. As time went on, Bode/Glimit fought thereselves back into the match, and in the 42nd minute, they got the goal they deserved. This knocked the confidence out of RBK who would have it all to do. Midway through the second half, much to the fans delight, Prica was brought on. This was his first game in over three months due to injury. His impact was blatent from the start, as he scored with his first touch, slotting the ball into the net. The fans went into raptures. With only 5 minutes left, Strausen brought on super sub Sellin. And he did his magic as he scored. A brilliant second half display had earnt Rosenborg a valuable win as they moved joint top, but still have 4 games in hand.

RBK Leave it late

Rosenborg travelled to Austria in where they face Sturm Graz. Graz who are currently pointless in the group will look to use the home advantage to their help them.

Sturm Graz 1 - 2 Rosenborg
Att.14246

Lazic 21Majcen 29
Berget 81

Graz started very strongly pinning Rosenborg in their own half. The pressure eventually paid off when Lazic poked the ball past the RBK keeper. Rosenborg picked themselves up well and replied through Majcen scoring a brilliant team goal. As the game time increased, so did the errors. As it was looking like a draw, Berget popped out of no where and scored a vital goal for Rosenborg. A 2-1 win was what Rosenborg needed. The win leaves RBK second in the table ahead of Steaua and Graz, but three points behind Chelsea.

RBK Good value

Rosenborg travelled to Stromgodset and a win would see them go top with three games in hand.

Stromgodset 0 - 3 Rosenborg
Att.7187

Demidov 6
Fredheim Holm 15
Prica 75

Demidov got RBK off to a great start scoring from a corner. Stromgodset tried to apply pressure, but it was RBK who got the seocnd goal of the game. Fredheim Holm scoring a low shot from the edge of the area. The games fizzled out, but this changed when Prica appeared off the bench. He bagged another goal to aid his rehab. Rosenborg move top with three games in hand.
