Really nice tactic Mr H & JP. I am currently using it with my Barnsley team, only here I am tweaking it into a wide diamond, a flat 442(!!!), a 4411 and a wide and deep 4231. Results have been truly great and it seems that as long as one makes the necessary adjustments to the closing down settings and focus passing, it can be turned into almost any formation

What closing down and focus passing would I use if I wanted to tweak it to a 4-3-3 wingers tactic?

Could you specify that formation ( is it by just dropping the outer Fcs into AMR, AML ? )

If so, I basiclly raise the closing down setting slightly for them, thats the only change ( although that formation would probably just be a slightly weaker version of the uploaded tactic)

Yea with AMR and AML. Barcelona type. I'll give it a try now. Thanks

After 4 seasons with Newcastle United (2013) I've managed to amass a strike-force that consists of:

Giuseppe Rossi
Oscar Cardozo
Levan Mchedlidze
John Fleck
Jelle Vossen
Franck Couderc
(regen)

I've found that when using the tactic as it was first intended, Rossi plays best when applied as the Deep Lying Forward; this is perhaps because of its similarity to the Trequartista role. However I have found that when using any combination of those strikers, if I manually set them to swap position with each other (i.e, LS swaps to CF, CF swaps to RS, RS swaps to LS) then the AI simply cannot defend against the fluidity.
This works best against teams that set up camp, or teams that aggressively man-mark. Its effectiveness is further enhanced when using the more creative players of that set.

Just thought that was worth mentioning for anyone looking for a new direction to take this tactic in the long-term.

My successes so far (using the modified Nike league which consists of 14 game seasons) are:
2x consecutive promotions
1x Carling Cup winner
2x Carling Cup runnerup
1x FA Cup Runner up
1x Premier League winner
1x Europa League winner

i started a leeds save, looking great so far. i incorporated the corner trick from goal glutters and beat everton 3-1, arsenal 3-0, celtic 7-0. lost to chelsea 1-0 though.
just one question, i'm looking for a striker and should i get Roberto Colautti or Giorgos Samaras?

I need your help mate :D
this tactic is working great,2 games now won both, with balloteli as a middle striker is beign CRAZY 2 goals per match, the counter attacking work great.
But i get like 1 red card per game,And two much yellows, how i can lower that?Cus the players who get the reds are the midfieldrs,And Defenders.
Thanks Very much!

Two matches? I bet that's just coincidence then. Try like 10-20 games and post if you still have that issue. I myself have been getting some sending off's in periods, but I've never had any more than two people sent off in a row.

You know, you need to test over a given time period to get a picture of stats etc ;)
Example: Thow a dice, the chance to get lets say a 5 on it is = 1/6.
So let's say you got 5 on that dice, and throw it again. What's the chance that you get 5 again now? 1/6 again? Wrong. It's 1/36.

Of course, you can get two 5's in a row, but that doesnt mean that you'll always get 5. Throw the dice 1000 times, and you'll see that it all evens out.

The same goes with FM. You can get two red cards in two matches, but that doesnt mean that you'll get a red card every match. Althought it's not totally random since it goes with hard tackling etc, you wont get as many red cards in the comming matches ;)

I know it's a messy post, but you get the point? Try more matches, and you'll see a better result:)

I also lowered the taclking abit :D
Working A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
having corner bug scores, without the corner bug.
Werden bermen, right now first place, still havnt had a game against big teams, but 6-1 against HSV is pretty decent, especially after 3 of my main players are injured.
GREAT tactic mate.

Chelsea was the first game and ManU was the second game. Not too upset about the ManU game. I have only 4 centerbacks on my senior team (or well basically good enough to play in the EPL), and one was injured, and two are off for international duties for both games. Plus I don't have a true DM (or I do they are just more my centerbacks) so I have a midfielder and trying to get him to learn the position.

I previous tactic was 4-2-4 (my own) which did good, but just wasn't scoring a ton of goals. This one I see more goals so far by just the two games, I know its only 2 games, but still am impressed for how my defense did.

Yes I know its Newport County but I am in year 2024.

Merci beacoup

First win in Prem 4 games in, what a place to get your first win at well, away to the League leaders :D

Gonna try the wizard version by JP and you, cheers. :)

Decided that I had to post this. Last year I beat Liverpool with my 4-2-4 tactics with a 7-2 win at home for the biggest win in my history. Now this year with your tactics. Sitting currently in 2nd place behind Newcastle by two points and two more games than them though.
