have tested this tactic on my Tactics Fully Tested thread currently in 3rd place behind JP Woody V1.1 4231 and your Complete Dominence tactics

great tactic won the league and cup with galatasaray.the big surprise was servet cetin my right central defender was top scorer with 29 goals

Leaky Defence

Still truggeling to use all of your tactics on Fmlive mr hough, seems the are great for scoring goal. Since I was the most scoring team last season (by far) but struggeling a bit at the back, seems defence is kinda leaky. Is this possible do to something with?

same with me as well..att is ok..but def leaked alot of goals..

love the tactics, but i would love it if you two could do a 4-4-2 formation which i think in fm now is dead.

Mate , even in real life , the classic 4-4-2 is dead , not many managers use it anymore , most of them like usind DM and AMC , like old school , with nr 10 in the AMC , behind the strikers , and in this game , if you`re using 4-4-2 flat , the players leave too much space in front of defence and midfield , that`s why is better using DM , i love playing my DM as a deep playmaker ....

this is by far the best tactic on fm10.started using it with celtic so far P34 D2 L1 in all comps. scoring 3.5gls a game and conceding 0.4,it is immense,is it just me or does everybodys right side defender score loads glenn loovens has scored 22gls for me so far!! thanks mr hough and jp for a quality tactic.

my right side defender servet cetin scored 29 goals first season and 32 the second season for galatasaray.

It's mostly about strength and weekness to be honest.

Manchester United play with 1 striker against top 4 (and other important/hard matches) opponents to win the midfield fight. It's perfect for United since you have Fletcher as a box-box player, Scholes who just pass every team to death and Giggs or Park that plays offencive. Wingers with awesome offensive abilities.

When Manchester United plays against good teams is when I love to watch them play ;)

On this game though, there might be some formations that's better than others. 4-1-2-1-2 is my favourite since it have players in all possitions, but I'm having a hard time tweaking this 4-1-2-0-3 formation. It's not as easy as I thought ;)

Most goals from corners? Right DC or DR? :P

Excellent tactic(s), thank you very much.

The Classic version helped me win the league with Sunderland in my first season (only losing 3 league matches all season), get the Ivory Coast job in January and go on to win the World Cup. Darren Bent scored an amazing 39 goals in 41 games for me in the first season.

At the start of the 2nd season I decided to switch to the wizard version. I played all pre season with it and am now about 15 league games into the season and I'm struggling with it. The wizard versions seems a lot more responsible defensively, which is great as that was an area of weakness last year, but I'm struggling up front this time round. Last season using the classic my front three, left to right, were Bent - Milevsky (sp?) - Campbell. With the wizard I'm using Bent - Milevsky - Dzeko.

I'm struggling to get the goals out of anyone in the front three except the centre striker. Do you think the wizard version more suits a winger come striker on the left and right, i.e Van Persie, Ashley Young, Walcott etc.? Or do you think I'm struggling this time round because the others teams have 'figured' me out?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Just had an amazing season with Barnsley, 2011/12, using a 442 tweak of this tactic. Currently into my 2012/13, wining 5 out of 5 with 18-1 in goal difference( also beating Juve 5-0 in the Supercup)

OK, finished a whole season with the tactic in my Blackpool save. ended up runners-up in the Premier League by 1 point [3rd time in succession]. Won the League Cup and in Final of FA Cup [to play tonight]. good goal difference finished with +52. great tactic Mr Hough and JP!!!, just wish I could win the title though, twice missed by 1 point and the other time on goal diff.

Amazing tactic!
Started with Rot-Weiss-Essen in Regionalliga West (4th League in Germany) and got promoted winning the 4th league. Next year i got straight up again, moving to the 2nd League. Now guess: Promoted again in the first season of 2nd league football.

The first year in the Bundesliga was a little bit messy as I had not enough money to buy players, but i finished first.
Season2: Place 3(Champions League!)
Season 3: Currently on top of the table beating Inter Mailand in the first knockout round and drawing 2 times against barca in the group stage. Placed 2nd in the group as barca couldn't manage to win against Olympique Lyon.

love it!

(+every season i played: a striker of my team was best goalscoarer(even in the bundesliga)
in the 3rd league i managed to sign a decent young striker whos now one of the best. Played 22 games for north ireland scoring 18 goals. He played 134 games for me scoring 96 goals. And that are just the goals in the league..Amazing!)

I'm only in the pre-season friendly stage but so far my man united team looks good.

TheBetterHalf

Would you be able to post up your 442 version of this tactic?

Steve

The joint version is remarkable. Started a season with Le Mans and I'm pushing for 3rd place in march. Only signed Aaron Gunnarsson and Djalo too =]

Out of curiosity, how will the reputation/ability of my assistant manager affects the opposition instructions if i were to 'ask assistant'?

I'm considering sacking him and getting a better one, but not sure which are the attributes that would benefit me or should i stick with reputation?

could you give me a link to wolfgang's team talks?

Finding this tactic a little difficult to play when teams dont possess enough "good" players. Attacks is always amazing on your tactics, but the defence is far to leaky. Isnt it possible to make it a little bid better in defence? Even if it takes some of the attack, because the attack is faaar good enough with 3 goals or more almost every game. But I always seem to end up with draws, or 4-3 losses etc, and it's **** frustrating.
